The ambience is not great. Literally I did not think we were in an Asian restaurant with the bland walls, and just a few Chinese lanterns, definitely needs some updating. That being said, the service was great and the food was delicious. The volcano roll was nice and spicy and they serve a yum yum sauce that was delicious. If you're used to real, authentic Asian food this ain't it! Food was okay; service was great.

Behind the counter is very chaotic and no one seems to cafe you are there. We ordered three California rolls and a kids meal to go. In a hurry we (3 people who all came in to order btw) take the bag and leave only to realize they packages all three rolls together when obviously there were 3 people, possibly ask how they want it packaged? When I called I got put on hold multiple times and told that's how we do it if you order more than one of same item.... So regardless of how many people order be ready to share your plate! read more

Cant get the order right unless you mobile order and they can read it. Never once have had a decent experience calling an order in, ordered double steak and no vegis and they give me double vegis regular steak but sure charged $7 for the steak. Pathetic. read more

Came here for a quick stop on a long drive. I was pleasantly surprised! The sushi hit the spot and filled me up without the food coma after so I remained alert for my drive. Friendly staff but the service was a little slow. It's just off of the highway so if you're in the area give it a try. read more

Had never been here before and we've drove by it many times. But came with friends and really enjoyed it. Food was delicious, prices were affordable and the ginger salad dressing was awesome. My husband said his sushi was delicious as well and fresh. The only reason I won't give 5 stars is because I was not a fan of their white sauce, it was just too sweet for my taste. The outside doesn't look that appealing and the inside could use some updating is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. However, the service was extremely fast and friendly. Never got close to running out of drinks and the waitress was very pleasant. The food was really good, tasted fresh and was hot off the grill. The portions were plenty and enough for leftovers.....which were super the next day. The quality of chicken and steak was as good as you will find. Prices were very modest. Fed 4 adults and 2 kids for $55! To top it all off....the waitress overheard us talking about this being my daughter's birthday dinner (family tradition) and she brought her some delicious donut pastries. Ashley is my server tonight. I'm solo and it's all goid. They offer 2 types of soup and neither were traditional miso. One of the soups were egg drop and I'm assuming the other is a wonton type. I passed on those. They also have salad BUT it's not with ginger dressing but rather ranch or 1000 island. SAY WHAT????? I passed on those also. I ordered a green tea and a sake. It's a tad bit hot in the restaurant which kinda stinks but I am hoping the sushi is fresh. The sashimi appetizer was delicious. It had tuna salmon and hamachi, five pieces in total. Ashley told me the ownership Changed hands in March and that's when they started serving sushi. She also told me that they make the Ginger dressing in the back and do not put it out for customers unless you ask for it and I asked for it because I just could not see coming to a Japanese restaurant and having 1000 island or ranch salad dressing. I was still hungry after the five pieces of sashimi and the rainbow roll so I ordered some vegetable tempura and I'm also taking an Imperial dinner home for dad which consists of steak chicken and shrimp with fried rice I'm sure he will enjoy that. This restaurant is kind of a combination Chinese and Japanese restaurant I didn't know that but it's all good the sushi was very delicious and very fresh.Fat girl wasn't quite full enough so I ordered the tempura vegetable appetizer. It was pretty good and consistent onions zuvconi and broccoli and .Absolutley Love chatting with Ashley she was a great waitress and deserves 5 stars herself . She was very pleasant and had a great personality .I'm glad Yelp had this listing and I was able to have a good sushi dinner because I was really hungry for that and being in South Carolina they aren't known for sushi .This restaurant definitely is . I ordered beef and broccoli, house fried rice, lo mein noodles, and few other items. A single word to describe the quality would be HORRIBLE. Everything had a, for lack of a better word, mildew flavor and was extremely unfresh. The place is dirty and has the same mildew odors that was in the food. It's obvious they allowed smoking before the no smoking laws, because the ceiling and walls are yellow, and the stale smell is still there. I've eaten Japanese food all over the country, and this place is, by far, the worst. read more

Two stars only because the staff was very friendly. I went with a friend and we had the hibachi chicken and hibachi steak. Both with mushrooms and no veggies. I've had bad experiences with vegetables at places like this. If you've had real hibachi at places like Miyabi or even the cheaper food at Tokyo Grill, then you will be expressly displeased by this food. The rice was fried with very little flavor. What little taste it had was only a hint of egg. The chicken was straight from the grill with no extra flavoring. Very bland. Not terrible, just bland. The steak wasn't any better. Again, straight from the grill; no Americanized, Japanese flavors. The mushrooms weren't too bad, but again, no flavor. Don't even try the advertised free soup. You WILL regret it. Terrible. I've eaten much better food for less than it costs to eat here. If you try it, good luck! read more

I'm updating my review from several years ago. The management or ownership has changed and although they've now added sushi to the menu, the food hasn't been near as good. It's always so hot in there. I can't personally tell you about the new sushi. My sister loved it at first and now says it's not like it used to be. :( read more

I love this place. I started going here when I was 16 and I still go here at least 3 times a month. I live about 30 minutes from here and about 10 minutes from a similar restaurant. I would rather drive an extra 20 minutes to eat at Ginza then the short 10 minutes to at another restaurant. Keep up the amazing service and food, Ginza! read more

I came here last week when I was in town visiting one of my girlfriends and it was all around amazing. From the food to the service I would give it an A+!! It's on the cheaper side which is always a plus! I got the steak and chicken and it was so good I love the "yum yum" sauce! I could probably eat a whole bottle of it on my food lol. We went on a busy Friday night, but the service wasn't bad. Watched Pirates of the Caribbean on the HUGE TVs. However, the food was as horrible as Brent M described. My hibachi beef and shrimp were burnt even though I ordered medium rare. The *5 pieces* of shrimp were canned. The zucchini was brown. My dry fried rice had more egg shell than egg, and what I hope was a green onion. Each meal comes with soup and salad, pass these up; Brown limp iceberg lettuce, gray egg drop soup, or Arby's Au jus with caned hamburger. Everything tasted dirty.
