    Tuna Tataki*

I've been here twice already and every time it was delicious! The inside is nice. It's a smaller restaurant I would advising making a reservation though you may not always need one. My only concern is there isn't usually a lot of wait staff. So you are kind of forgotten about. They have a different sake sangria every night! It's very flavorful and lots of fruit. I definitely recommend getting a half pitcher if you're there with a friend. We had the spicy garlic edamame. This was good right about of spicy to it. 8/10 We also tried the Tuna Tataki this was not bad. I felt like it could have more flavor. 7/10 I had the Japanese Curry is so good! The flavor is great! I recommend trying the sun dried tomato garlic butter rice with it! So good. This entree came with soup and salad. 10/10 And green tea ice cream for dessert which was delicious! 10/10 Overall it's a lot of food for a great price! Will definitely come back again.

Stopped by one of our favorites in Summerville! We didn't have a reservation but got seated at the bar. As usual the restaurant was busy but glad we got to eat. As usual the Owner greeted us and remembered us from eating there a few times. Such a great greeting from the stress of the day. We got 2 samples of delicious Sake! I had the Udon Curry with Beef. As usual delicious!!! As mentioned they were busy and short staffed but they did a great job. Food here never disappoints. As we left the Chef even asked how everything was. Great food and great people. It was a last minute decision to eat here but next time we will try to make a reservation.

Strawberry mango sake sangria...homemade and fresh cut fruit. So good!

It's been 8 full years since my friend and I visited this restaurant because I moved from the area. The owner recognized us this weekend. How? That's actually amazing. This restaurant still has the same charm as it did back then. We got last minute reservations and they were able to fit us in at the bar. We were given samples of the house sake sangria and it was just as good as I remembered. We ordered that and a few appetizers. The filet mignon yakitori is mouth watering. I can't explain how good everything is. You cannot go wrong eating here. My friend was like now THAT is a culinary experience! I can't wait to visit again so I can come back to eat here. Every accolade is very much deserved!

The food here was tasty overall. There was a couple of items that I felt I've had better at other places but overall it was enjoyable. The service was fine. The ambience was okay. The outside of the building doesn't do the inside justice that's for sure. There was still vegan options for me, although more limited than some of the other Japanese restaurants I've been to. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the place though. I'm sure we'll be back at some point.

Very traditional and authentic Yakitori style food. The food was good but the real treat is the way that Mamu, the owner treats each of her guests. She sang for us and have a fabulous patriotic speech and we were so impressed with her hospitality.

This restaurant is such a hidden gem in Summerville! Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely visit again. The restaurant itself is quaint with such character. The hostesses were kind and prompt. And the owner personally checked on us multiple times and had such a kind presence. The food was delicious. I visited with my family and we ordered the gyoza and crispy pork as appetizers, the kalbi and bacon wrapped scallops as entrees, and the fried rice and white rice as sides. Everything was delicious!

This a a jewel of a restaurant. Let's start with the service. Every time I have eaten here I have been greeted by one of the owners. She is very personable and often offers up free samples of food or a sample of special made cocktail. The service is great. Every food item I have ordered has been delicious. If you are celebrating a special event or birthday, they go out of their way to make you experience a little more special

Myles and Jun only does reservation by Yelp, but we stopped by on a Thursday evening and got a reservation for two hours later at 7:30. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly and treated to sangria samples while we looked at the menu. It's a cute place with nice decorations and a seating area while you wait. The service is great here and everyone makes you feel welcome, though I got the sense they were a little understaffed. All of the recommendations from our "research" were ordered: A5 wagyu skewer, crispy pork belly, honey toast, yellowtail collar. Everything was delicious, hot, and fresh! Out of everything, the yellowtail collar entree with the sun dried tomato garlic butter rice stood out to me. I had never had yellowtail collar, but don't skip it if you're not afraid to pick up a piece of fish and nibble on the crispy bits. I think it's whole fried and the sauce is incredible. The rice was something special too. We also got the chicken thigh and lamb yakitori - both were tasty with the lamb packing a spicy punch. I'm not sure when we'll be back to Summerville, but the combo of the food and the hospitality has pushed M&J to the top of our list - they make you feel like family!

Don't let the storefront fool you. I'd heard so many nice things about Myles and Jun Yakitori and my visit didn't disappoint. I made reservations because I heard it can get very busy. With reservations, my guests and I still waited about 10-15 minutes, but that's also stated in the resy. We were seated and offered a sample of their highly recommended Sake Sangria and it was delicious. Of course I now needed it with my meal. Their menu selection is huge and made it hard to choose. I decided to go with their Yakitori selections in order to try a few different items. I went with the grilled sake (salmon), filet mignon, and lamb. I also ordered the asparagus beef rolls. Everything was delicious! I was a little disappointed that the owner wasn't there. I would have really liked to have met her. But I highly recommend giving them a try.

(Bottom) crispy pork... a must!!!! And beef tongue that my husband couldn't stop raving about!

From a service standpoint, there's really nothing to complain about. The food, however, was just okay. The hibachi-style entrée was generously portioned with rice, vegetables, and protein, but the flavors were pretty mild and didn't really pop. The sushi rolls were fresh and nicely presented, but they tasted fairly standard and weren't very memorable. I also tried the calamari rings and, while they were crispy, I wasn't a big fan of the overall flavor and seasoning. Overall, Yokoso is a decent option if you're looking for good service and solid portions, but the food itself felt average. I wouldn't say it's bad--just not a place I'd go out of my way for.

The room was quiet despite a fairly large crowd. Wait staff was super attentive and paced our items perfectly. The Sake I had was above average in taste. It is often pretty mediocre at such locations, but this was very good with layers of flavor. My wife had a limited appetite so ordered 2 appetizers. She is also unable to consume hot/spicey foods. They were able to provide multiple items that fit the bill. The pot stickers were great. I had one of the ramen dishes (Gamecock Ramen). It was loaded with great taste and very fresh Bok Choi. There was a smear of hot chili sauce, which allowed me to adjust the heat. This is a great way to handle this issue. The portion size was spot on and I was able to finish the bowl. Prices are extremely reasonable. We've not yet tried sashimi there, which can make or break our opinion (not good at another local Asian restaurant). We'll definitely be back though.

My husband got the spring rolls, I got the crispy wontons & pot stickers all of which were very good. My husband got the steak & shrimp combo and I got the steak. When it got to our house my husband started eating and he said, I'm still amazed that when you say medium rare on the steak it's always medium rare. I mean it's impressive bc you would think after being in a closed container and then having to travel around 15 mins to our house it's still medium rare. They are always so pleasant on the phone too. The only complaint I have is their app (and I'm not sure this is their fault). When you order on the app there is no place to make substitutions. The hibachi is normally served with fried rice but I like white rice with my hibachi & on the app there is no where to change it. So I always have to call it in. Which isn't a big deal but using the app would be nice but bc I can't make a change on the app I'll continue to call in my order. But they are always so nice it's a pleasure talking to them. When I forgot to tell them I wanted my steak medium rare, I called back to tell them. And they said no problem. Then a couple of minutes later they called me back and asked if the shrimp & steak combo was medium rare also. I thought that was great! She said she thought it was probably the same but she didn't want to assume. I appreciate attention to details like that.

I love their hibachi, and this was a VERY good deal for the amount of food you get. I ordered the lunch vegetable hibachi with a side of filet mignon. The meat was cooked really well, and the portion sizes were decent, especially for a lunch order. Flavor-wise, everything was solid. My first issue was that there's no way to add notes or remove ingredients when ordering through DoorDash. I'm not a big bacon fan, and their fried rice has bacon pieces in it, but I had no way to request no bacon. That was frustrating, especially since it's a pretty common customization. My second issue is more of a personal pet peeve: I hate when restaurants charge extra for sauces. If you're already spending money on the food, sauces (within reason) should be included. I'm very much a sauce person, and one tiny little container just doesn't cut it for me. I know it's only cents, but it still bothers me. What made it worse is that I paid for extra sauce and didn't even get it. I'm not totally sure where the responsibility falls--DoorDash vs. the restaurant--but I'd assume it's on the restaurant to double-check the bag before it goes out. I know people make mistakes, and maybe I'm venting over something small, but when it's already a pet peeve of mine, it's extra annoying. That said, the food itself was good and a great value--I'd just love to see better customization options and more consistency with paid add-ons.

The chunks were humongous, and it would have been more appropriate to provide knives, if the steak was going to be that tough. For the price, I do not think it was worth to dine there, but with inflation and how pricey seafood and steak are, I guess the price makes sense.
