In town visiting from the states and was craving sushi! They were busy with to go ordered but were able to sit us right away. The hubbs and I shared the octopus balls for our appetizer and it was DELICIOUS!! And we each got sushi rolls and then I got an additional spicy noodle bowl. Everything was delicious and the waitress was really nice! The restaurant was clean but a little cooler in temperature. Not a super high end resturants but the food is amazing. read more

We just on holidays in Kelowna. One night we decided we wanted sushi but the place we thought of going to was closing so like any digital nerd, we used yelp to find an alternate sushi place - Ginza wasn't far and already had great reviews. Let's go. Upon arriving I wasn't sure Ginza wasn't going to live up to it's reputation. It's on the end of a strip mall, on the far side... I don't know, it just didn't feel inviting. HOWEVER, upon going inside, an open and warmly decorated environment made us feel very welcome. Our server - a very nice lady originally from Quebec - greeted us, brought us our green tea and took our order. One little perceived red flag... the prices are much lower than we were expecting. A funny little disconnect. "If the the price is so low, how good can the sushi be?" FEAR NOT my fine fish eating friend. The food - all of it - tasted amazing... from the sushi, right up the green tea ice cream. I literally at my face off for $13 dollars and .95 cents. Okay, maybe not that cheap... but is was incredibly less that I would have paid for sushi in Calgary, Vancouver, and any other places in Kelowna. Best. Sushi. Ever. Ginza delivered, big time. We pass by the highway 97, trying out first luck with Kelowna sushi. The only thing I can say about this place...... Is WOW.... Sushi here is better then Vancouver, with good price.and friendly staff. I think I will come back every single time I come back to Kelowna. Highly recommend!!!!! read more

Had a quick lunch here today, got the beef teriyaki Bento box, $16 with tax and tip, no beverage. Great and friendly service, pretty average sushi place, I guess I have to get my head around the fact that sushi in the Okanogan just costs more than Vancouver. I'd stop here again, But actually only drove to this location because I thought the Thai place was open, apparently it's just for dinner- this place will do in a pinch! read more

This is our go-to Sushi place in Westbank. To be fair it's only 5 blocks away, but there are two others even closer and two others just a few blocks beyond. In fact I think there are more Japanese restaurants between downtown Westbank and Kelly O's, than there are Japanese people in the entire valley! This restaurant is very quiet and intimate and rarely very busy, which is a shame, as it's always so good. Service very good and super friendly. And the food is excellent. Always fresh, never "fishy" and they are accommodating to my shellfish allergies when making combos for me. Wine and beer selections are tiny, but they have a basic Gewurtztraminer that goes with ginger and wasabi swimmingly. The tuna is of particular note as possibly the sweetest and tenderest in town. The miso is always good and the small starter salad is excellent and has no comparable. To sum up: we always order way too much, saying out loud, "well if we can't eat it all, we can always take it home." The only way it's ever come home was in our overfed bellies. The atmosphere is excellent for a semi-romantic dinner. read more

I ordered a spicy tuna and spicy salmon roll. I ate one piece, when I realized they had added tempura batter to the roll. I am gluten free and this will make me very sick today. When I explained this to the waitress, there was no remorse or action that she was willing to make to rectify the situation. She said, every restaurant makes rolls differently, and that I would have to pay if I wanted a replacement. I have never been to a sushi restaurant that added tempura to their tuna and salmon rolls, and I have also never been to a restaurant where they have not been empathetic and helpful towards my allergy. read more

If I could give this 'restaurant" less than 1 star I would give it a minus 10!!! It is absolutely the WORST food I have ever eaten. The only thing to order would be the rice not that it was good but it was better than anything on the menu. Fish not fresh at all! Food tasteless. Chicken karaage - is actually chicken tempura - not at all the same thing. I'm not sure who exactly is running this place but they should be embarrassed to pass this off as actual food!!! read more
