I visited their location downtown, and it was okay. This location (in Mission) is a little bit better-- both aesthetically and menu-wise (some rolls are cheaper at this location than the Downtown one, which is a little strange if you ask me). This establishment seems a little more refined and spacious, with much more ambient lighting and just generally, better presenting atmosphere. I ordered seafood yaki udon and was pretty impressed with how much seafood they put in there, it's very generous! It's not served on a skillet like I'm used to, but it was hot and a little charred, nonetheless. I was not a fan of how much sauce they put in the noodles, I think next time I order, I will ask them to go easy on the sauce. I shared some rolls with my friends and they were pretty decent. I think I'm still partial to Bluetail since their rolls seem a little more refined and a little fresher (in my opinion!). Our server was nice and came by to check on us periodically, which was very sweet of her. I was just taken aback since the atmosphere at this location is so much different than the one Downtown! This store is one of the fastest take out services I have been to. The place is super cute and cozy. The hostess is friendly. The service was great. I got some hot tea and lemon water while waiting. The presentation is ok. Flavours are great. The uni is fresh and the rice is well seasoned. I got uni, dynamite and chopped scallop roll. I like the sauce; some people don't. Ordered a variety of dishes tonight for my family who was craving Japanese food. We ordered tuna and salmon sashimi, spicy tuna roll, spicy scallop roll, assorted tempura, California roll, and gyoza. Everything was nicely portioned, good quality, and tasted great! I really liked that they added avocado and cucumber to the rolls and my daughter said the gyozas were particularly delicious. My friends and I all loved our meals. The service was quick and great. It was busy when we arrived however, the traffic flowed at a consistent pace. People would come and go so the wait time was short. I ordered salmon sashimi was was a nice thick and bright red colour. It came with 4 pieces for $7. I also ordered the banzai tuna roll (favourite one) and the crispy crunch. In total, the bill came to $27 for all 3 items which isn't too bad. I would say this is one of my favourite sushi spots in Kelowna. They have incredible customer service and the food always tastes fresh and delicious. I have been there during lunch as well as dinner and the quality never disappoints. The prices aren't bad either. It is one of the few places in Kelowna that doesn't charge for green tea. Other places ask you if you want green tea without telling you that it's an extra $1. Things I've tried from there: miso soup, salmon teriyaki, dynamite roll, tempura and some other rolls.
