Just love this place. In town again so ordered to go. Tried a couple of the specialty pizzas today. The Mediterranean pizza is so good. I typically don't like all of the stuff on a pizza but even with the olives it was just so tasty. They have a red sauce I just love here. You can buy the sauce in a bottle. The chicken bbq pizza is pretty average but good as well. The gionino's bread is very tasty. Large Mediterranean pizza, medium chicken bbq and bread was $48 all in picked up to go. Very Very Disappointed. We order from Gioninos in Green quite often. Tonight I ordered at 4:57. I was told it would take an hour. I called them at 6:30 and said we didn't have our order yet. They said it should be here any minute because their driver was out with it. I called back at 6:55 because now it's been 2 hours since I ordered. I was basically called a liar by the owner because his exact words were "we have been telling people for the last 3 hours that it will be an hour and a half". I said "just so you know I'm not lying. The guy on the phone said one hour". He then told me we must have been in some kind of weird spot where I ordered and then 40 people ordered after me, that's why it's taking so long. If I ordered and 40 more ordered after me I should be first right??? I will now order from the Gioninos on Canton Road. They don't deliver here but I'm sure we wouldn't be treated like this elsewhere. Better customer service would be a nice idea!! Oh and it's 7:08 and still no food! Food got here at 7:18. The guy went to multiple wrong houses before ours. I tried calling because the owner said if I wasn't satisfied to call in and of course no one is answering the phone. Shocker! read more

Yes it is Covid! You say to give the merchant kindness... I tried by purchasing 12 flats (full of feathers) for $18.00... so then I ordered what I thought was garlic bread with pizza cheese and herbs on it... which brought my order to $25.56... I get home... the wings were done right but a lot of feathers... but I let that go.. however... the so called cheesy bread sticks were hard and chewy... so I call the store to tell them about it and the same guy that told me 2yrs ago that I could go somewhere else told me today that it was made properly and even if I brought it back I cannot get my $7.56 back... and suggested I put them in the microwave to soften them up! I live right down the street in Green and you try to give merchant's a chance with these inflated prices and they can't even refund some unacceptable breadsticks! This is it for me... I know one monkey don't stop the show... but I will not spend my hard earned money with them ever again... and I'm a Healthcare worker.... so it cost me $25.56 to learn a lesson... when one of the owners of the pizza shop tells you basically to kiss his behind... then I can spend my money elsewhere! Awesome food, horrible experience. Pickup area was filthy and it was only 45 minutes into their day. It likely hadn't been mopped for days if not weeks. Waited 57 minutes for a 25-30 minute pickup- 30 of them at the store. I wasn't greeted, did not even see a human being until I was there for 12 minutes. Although during my thirty minute wait I heard only two calls come in, the workers cursing it up, the workers taking the phone off the hook, and likely taking two smoke breaks out the back door as the smell wafted over their wall inside the restaurant. Repeated credit card twice couldn't get it right, came to the door and my daughter gave her card, which I didn't want her to have to do. Got our food in order was wrong. Called the store spoke with manager Ethan maybe? He had a total attitude offered to bring one order of correct wings when we needed two. Would not comp the second order since we had the other wrong order in our possession. Didn't offer a store credit or anything. He was not apologetic and acted like it was just a bother. Love Gionino's food-horrendous location. If I could give them 0 stars, I would!! A newer employee took my order and tried to charge me $50 for a dozen wings. I confirmed the price several times and this 16 year old kid, from the sound of it, insisted he was correct. $50... for 12 wings. I asked to speak to a manager who interrupted me twice when I tried to explain what happened and had quite the high and mighty attitude for a manager at a pizza joint. He told me "He's new here give him a break, Lady." I was absolutely shocked by this. As someone who works in the customer service industry and who has all her life, I can confidently say that I would be fired if I ever said this to a paying customer. That being said- I understand everyone is new at their job at some point, but to try and charge me $50 for wings and argue with me about the price when you KNOW you're new and may not have all the right answers? Unacceptable when you're working in customer service. The absolute worst customer service experience I've ever had anywhere, hands down. The manager deserves to be fired for how he spoke to me. From speaking with others In the community about their experiences, I'm not the only one who's been offended by the manager here. My all around favorite Pizza place!! These guys are so cool! I was having a conversation with them the first time I was there like they were my BFFs. Just called this store for a delivery of pizza and chicken, 7-8-17 around 7 p.m. With my initial call, someone at the store picked up the phone, didn't speak and then hung up. I thought I had the wrong number and called again. This time the phone was answered. I said I wanted to place an order for delivery. The male store employee very rudely asked my address. I gave it to him. He then, even more rudely, asked for my phone number. I decided to just hang up and call another local pizza shop. This store just lost my business not only for tonight, but forever. If the employees are this angry and this rude, who knows what they could do to my food. read more

Terrible customer service. We contacted the green location 10 days in advance of placing a $600 order for a business event we were having. We asked if it could be delivered by 11am and Jason (owner) told us he couldn't do it and "good luck finding anyone else willing to take that order".
