I visited with a party of 8 at 1PM in the afternoon. I ordered a Buckeye burger smashed and tater tots. My burger tasted wonderful and professionally well made. Since it was smashed it was crispy in the edges with little to no juicy meat but that is what I expected. Actually, I've never had a smash burger (two patties) before. The burger was made as described in the menu. I wish there was more ranch sauce in the burger because I could barely taste it. The bun did an excellent job holding everything together. The taste of the bun, burger, etc was amazing. The tots had a crunchy outside and soft inside--perfect. The service was fantastic. I loved the atmosphere. The dining area to the left of the entrance is where we sat. There were two 55" (?) tvs but no sound. The seated was varied with table and booth seating in the dining area were we sat. They could accommodate for a 10 person party or party of two. A must try if you love burgers. read more

This restaurant is so very clean and the staff is so friendly! The food is consistently excellent . The variety is amazing ! Their burgers are top notch, the salmon is well worth the drive, and the pizza reminds my husband of his Italian grandmother's . You won't find better cupcakes anywhere. This is a place for locals, that's for sure! It was also PACKED with customers of which I was by far the youngest person there. I ordered a lunch combo special of a small 6 inch hawaiian pizza and side salad to-go for a total of $10. Great deal! It's just enough food to curb a pizza craving during your lunch break. The pizza has thinly sliced ham all over and canned pineapple sprinkled throughout. Not the most premium of ingredients, but I'll take it. The salad was good for a generic side salad. The place was rather quite and not very noisy, maybe it's because they were getting ready to close! I was surprised by how many different variation of hamburgers were again available on the menu! Regardless after searching for the most unique hamburger l, went for the sourdough toast BLT hamburger! The waitress was every patient and kind! Finally after ordering the food it arrived within 15 minutes of ordering! The food was fresh and hot! It was delicious as expected! This review is NOT for the Massillon location but for the West Tusc location. First of all i am 78 years old and very embarrassed. My husband and i eat there frequently or used to. two weeks ago we went there for dinner and we always order Patti melts and i say american cheese and please no onions im allergic to them.I love your patti melt grilled with cheese. please put them on the side and my husband will use them. the waitress brought them and said they put the onions on it any how i have never had that problem ever! she took it back and brought it back and said he made you a new sandwich. im sorry but it was the same sandwich with the onions sticking out of the underside in the cheese. my hasband asked to see the manager and the man came to the table and my husband said what kind of BS are you trying to pull we eat here all the time shes allergic to onions and the man pointed out the onions in the bowl in front of my husband and he told the man thats for me. the man said he is the owner and not to us the BS word in his resturant.He told me that their patty melts have onions on them and they wont make them different for anyone and maybe i should just order a hamburg on bread. i said we eat here all the time and they always leave the onions on the side for my husband in case he wants extra. he walked away and sent a little short older man to our table and had him order us out of his restaurant. on the way out he told me i should have more control of my husband and maybe we wouldnt have to do without our dinnner.i will never go there to eat again and neither will our friendst the lady in the booth near us said maybe i should have eaten the onions and went into anaphylactic shock well needles to say i will miss going there and we always leave a good tip for leaving the onions in a bowl your servers always so very nice. This place has really gone downhill. We hadn't been there since before Covid so we thought we would stop tonight. The burgers used to be the best. I didn't even recognize the burger based on size and quality that came out tonight. Appears to be a frozen patty cooked to leather. If you are looking for a good burger this is no longer the place. Stopped in for lunch today and it was quite busy. Service was great and my waitress, despite being slammed, made sure to stop and check on me a handful of times. She said my order wrong a few times but I wasn't too worried since it was just adjusting toppings. The right food came out so all was well. But I got the grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and it wasn't very good at all. I was only able to eat half of the chicken breast. When I was in the middle of the sandwich I couldn't even bite through the chicken and even with a knife it was tough. I ended up just finishing off the bun with toppings and no meat. Figured it was the universe telling me I didn't need it. Half the sweet potato fries were hot and fresh but the other half were crunchy and cold, and the main reason I stopped was to satiate my craving for sweet potato fries. Menches is a great place for lunch and a simple dinner. I was there with my family (7 of us). We were seated at a nice round corner table. Our server was friendly and helpful. Alcoholic beverages are available but it seems to be a limited selection. Several of us had salads but I had a Rueben with sweet potato fries. I should have taken a picture cause it was stuffed with corned beef! Specialty of the house is the 50 different hamburgers listed on the menu. If you can't find one you like, dream up your own. The restroom situation is a little odd, you have to leave the restaurant, go out into the atrium and walk a ways down the hall. The restrooms service several businesses in the atrium. Inventors of the Hamburger. If you watch the food channel, there is an occassional show on where the Hamburger was invented. The Menches Bros were one of three or four that this contribution to our cusine is cited and this occured in Hamburg NY hence the name Hamburger. The base and home was a small fast food restaurant in Down Town Akron and this is one of the later stores. True or not, they do serve a great burger and I've eaten there many times although it been a couple of years since I have been back. Did not have one of their burgers this time but rather were there for breakfast. My wife had two eggs over easy, rye toast, sausage and home fries. I had a Western Omelet and Western Omelet that was very good although a bit skimpy on filling and a bit overcooked hence very dry. Service was very good at first but after our main course was served, they got busy and we had to flag down our waiter for refills. All in all very good. Atmosphere reminds you of the set for Cheers and has a touch of the 1880's. Would recommend and will try again next time I am up later this spring. read more

I'm pretty sure the last beef I ate was a cheeseburger here 10 years ago. It was a fine way to retire from red meat. Just tried this place for the first time two days ago and already went back today to get more food. This place has like 50 recipes for burgers and I was extremely happy with the taste of the two I tried so far. First time I dined in we had a new waiter and he had that awkward cadence to him but he was kind and did well. The second time we had a different guy that seemed a little aloof, forgetting what drinks my friend ordered as soon as he walked away and had to come back to ask. Not a big issue, just seemed maybe a little out of it, probably had a lot of tables to worry about. Again, the burgers are delicious and the fries there are so delectable! They're not greasy whatsoever, so they may be air fried. As for the rest of their menu, I tried some of the mild boneless wings my friend didn't finish and they tasted like standard appetizer food you'd get at Applebee's. The pizza slice I also tried was surprisingly good though despite having several brown marks all over the cheese; I like that the pepperonis were nice and crunchy. Really good burgers & appetizers! Menches Brothers claims to have invented the hamburger, ice cream cone, and Cracker Jacks. I know the hamburger claim is disputed by a few other places according to Wikipedia, and the ice cream cone and Cracker Jack claim is a little silly too. But who knows? It may, in fact, be true. Whether or not the brothers invented the hamburger, I do not know. But I do know that they perfected it. I've tried a few different burgers, and they have all been wonderful. But I keep going back for the Greek Burger. The combination of feta, tzatziki sauce, and bacon is amazing! Another thing I love are their Sauerkraut Balls (appetizer). I can't even think about them without wanting to pick up the phone to place an order! One time I was ordering for pick-up and I saw these beautiful cupcakes in the display case. I knew my husband and son would love to try one, so I purchased one "Heath Bar" and one "Oreo Cookie" cupcake. I can't tell you how they tasted because they scarfed them down within minutes! I definitely had a bad experience when I first went here 4 years ago - but I've been back multiple times since then and have had good experience and good food every time since.
