    Great chicken Parmesan and pasta!

I know everybody raves about their Chicago style pizza, but I didn't have half an hour to wait for it to cook. So I went with the tavern style. As you can see from my photo, it's cut into squares, which I love and is typical for this type of pizza. However, they put the pepperoni underneath the cheese. This is controversial. I prefer the pepperoni on top so it can crisp up and char. It also adds to the texture of the pizza. With the pizza under the cheese, it stays soft and really blends in with the cheese. It tends to subdue the taste of the pepperoni. Even with this, it had a good overall flavor, and I would order it again. Chicken Parmesan and pasta is also very good. See the photo. The facility was typical for a pizza/pasta restaurant, not too flashy but comfortable. Would come back again!

So good! We went from Illinois and we stopped for Chicago style pizza on our way through! It did not disappoint! Everything was delish! It was lunch time and it was quiet. Service was good. We would definitely return given the opportunity!

I have not had Deep Dish Chicago pizza in years. This is SO good!! This is a very nice restaurant with a great staff.

We really wanted to try a Chicago style deep dish pizza on our cross-country move and were recommended Giordano's. We intended on getting two personal pizzas, but the owner recommended we do a small half-and-half for a true deep dish experience. We're so glad we followed his recommendation. My partner ordered a pepperoni pineapple on his side and I got the veggie without green peppers. Note that they put some of the toppings under the sauce. They even gave us some water for our dog. We both loved the pizza, but their service really pushed this to 5 stars for us.

Sampler appetizer platter. Fried mozzarella, buchetta, toasted baguette with fresh mozzarella, cheesy garlic bread and boneless wings.

I've never had Chicago Deep Dish pizza. I had to give it a try and this is the place to try it! The waitress helped us choose our first pie, and assisted us in choosing appetizers and even coached us on how best to eat the pizza and appetizers. The place gave a feel of an authentic pizzeria, and was super clean. I highly recommend!

If you want great Chicago style deep dish pizza. then Giordano's is the place for you. If you dine in and order deep dish, expect a 30 minute wait. They make everything to order, so have an appetizer or a few adult beverages to pass the time. The service was great and the pizza was delicious. I recommend it!!

I was in the area and I had to go with a deep dish pizza. Heard many things about Giordano's so I figured I had to check it out. I went in for dinner on a Monday night and it wasn't busy. I took a place at the bar and was greeted by the server. Ordered the Chicago classic deep dish pizza and was told it would take 30 minutes. Had a few drinks while I waited for my food. When the pizza came out, I was excited as it looked good. The pizza itself was actually pretty good. It comes with pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, and onions. I really enjoyed that combo! The sauce wasn't as flavorful as I'm used to but it was still good. I do wish they had a little bit of sauce in the middle of the pizza. The sauce is just on top and it was stuffed with cheese. Now I'm not complaining about the cheese since the cheese pull was great! But a little sauce mixed in there would of taken it to the next level. Regardless, it was a very enjoyable pizza. I couldn't finish my pie and left full. Overall, I enjoyed my time here and would make another visit when I'm back in the area

Came in around 1pm for a quick bite with the MIL. We both got personal 6" pizzas, one topping. She opted for the lunch special which came with a side (soup, salad, or something else which I can't recall). I just got the pizza. Silly me--she saved a dollar and got salad. I could have ordered the lunch special just to save $1 and not even have the salad. What was I thinking? Lol Clearly not about saving a dollar! Service was splendid. The pizza came out a bit slow, but worth the wait. Seriously, worth the wait. This place also has frozen pizzas to go. What?! Awesome!

Eat here on most of my visits to Rockford. Consistently good Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. Generous toppings. Well not really toppings since there on the bottom. Tons of gooey cheese and a well balanced tomato sauce. Ordered carry out and it was ready on time.

Awesome chicago style pizza! A small deep dish and an appetizer is more than enough for two with leftovers to bring home.

We got our own little room that was just big enough for our booth for 5. Complimentary Bread was delicious Special salad that came with the meals was good- the little pieces of Italian sausage & slices of egg made it better. I had 1/2 lasagna & 1/2 mostaccioli- lasagna was large & delicious. Mostaccioli was just cheap pasta with red sauce dumped on it. Wife had a nice steak w/ a side of fettuccine Alfredo instead of potato that looked very good. Son had just lasagna & his full large portion was enormous but he ate it all. Another son had a fish dinner w side of Alfredo. The last son just ordered the fettuccine Alfredo & added 2 meatballs that weirdly came in a red sauce, he didn't care just dumped it right on top of his Alfredo. A nice touch was-Everybody gets a scoops of ice cream after dinner, they had 5-6 choices. Everything was good-very good I'd recommend the lasagna or fettuccine Alfredo definitely the salad & bread. Negatives would be the only phone reservations & the price is high for just noodles & sauce. Bill was $160 for 5 dinners & 3 lemonades. So after tip around $200

Service was the same, had to ask for napkins and a steak knife as they were not brought to us. We our server was very sweet. The bruschetta and oysters Rockefeller were the stand outs-- so good! Both our mains were a bit disappointing. The cook on my husband's steak was incorrect and it had zero char-- pretty much totally gray. My risotto was undercooked with a bit too al dente rice and watery sauce. It also was underseasoned. However the seafood was great so I ate that without hesitation. I keep saying I like but don't love Francesco's, and for dinner for $275 for two people in Rockford, I just expect better quality if we're going to be paying downtown Chicago prices. I would go back but it's not going to be a meal I seek out.

Saturday we got to experience their exceptional customer service as well. After ordering and waiting at our table, we noticed the wait was a bit longer than usual, and shortly after, Pablo, the GM came to our table and asked about our order. He did not have any orders in the kitchen that hadn't been completed. He checked the kiosk we used, but didn't see our order. He apologized and took our order using pen and paper. After a short wait, Lisa started bringing out our order. She is so friendly and efficient (we remembered her from previous visits). Pablo also came out again to check to see if our order was complete and apologized again for the mixup. Our Italian beef sandwiches were delicious as usual (best in the Rockford area). French fries so crunchy on the outside but warm and soft on the inside. Granddaughter's chicken tenders were tasty and our daughter ordered the gluten free cauliflower crust pizza (which I didn't even realize was on the menu). She said it was awesome, one of the best she has had. I highly recommend you try this restaurant if you haven't already. The quality of the food is above par for any fast food restaurant in the area. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff is so appreciated because we all know that is regularly not the case in fast food establishments. Thank you, Pablo, for noticing we did not have our order and for making it right so quickly. It is so appreciated. Oh and I can't forget that for the first time we tried Rainbow Cone (granddaughters insisted lol) and we were not disappointed. Milk shakes were creamy and thick with great choice of toppings.
