All I can say is wow! We got the 18 inch Deluxe.... when they say deluxe they mean it. Every topping except for pineapple, jalapeño and anchovies. Thin crispy crust and piping hot. This is what I think of when I think deluxe

Pizza was lackluster at best. The salad was shredded lettuce, cheese and spare on tomatoes.

Tonight…read morethere were four (4) of us -- upon arrival, they had no record of our reservation which was done (AND CONFIRMED) last week via FB Messenger. Nonetheless, they were able to accommodate us with only a brief wait -- overall, not a big deal. Service was average at best. Server was polite but did not write down our orders which meant coming back to confirm -- both drinks and food several times. We always enjoyed the pizza here so when we inquired about the pizza menu, none was provided but the server "rattled off" three pizza options. Not a good impression since, once we got a menu from the manager, there were plenty of choices. Took, what seemed like, forever to get drinks -- still not sure if there was actually a bartender or if the servers were handling the drinks. MUSIC IS INSANELY LOUD!!! TERRIBLE! Food was mediocre -- it used to be off the charts fantastic. Shrimp and Grits (two orders) were floating in grease from the onions and peppers -- it was awful. Pasta Alfredo, with shrimp and chicken was very good! Salmon with risotto was just okay. Long story short -- this place used to be fantastic, an absolute no brainer to visit regularly. But after three recent visits, we'll take a year or two off until they get their act together.

You're a restaurant in the business of hospitality, right? Perhaps share that with your employee named Ellie, who took it upon herself to nastily and aggressively berate my sister this evening. Let me paint a picture for you. Our party dined with you in observance of three family birthdays (my sister's being one of them) and brought a homemade cake to enjoy, just as we did last year when we reserved the vault room. Imagine our surprise when, upon receiving the checks, we were charged a $25 "cake cutting fee." I realize that's just semantics, like a "corkage fee," but maybe call it something else when the servers do no such thing. I digress. When questioned by my sister about the charge, Ellie told her in no uncertain terms that the cake cutting fee was clearly posted "on the door, the menu, and the website." Multiple members of our party thoroughly checked all three places and found it stated NOWHERE. The audacity! How rude and misinformed can one person be? Needless to say, an otherwise pleasant experience was instantly and wholly ruined by one person's lack of professionalism and tact. I've never had a bad experience at Copper & Oak, so I'm not sure what's gone wrong at La Cosa Nostra, but none of my meals there have come close by comparison. And you can be assured I'll never spend my hard earned money there again; in fact, I'll be hesitant to support Copper & Oak by mere association. And I'll be quick to caution others regarding both establishments. I'll be curious to see if this email is ignored (my prediction) or handled in a timely, professional manner. And even more curious to see - if acknowledged - how you intend to remedy the situation. Oh, and you might consider updating the website, as you highlight both spaghetti and meatballs and saltimbocca, but serve neither."

We ordered the bacon breadsticks. They were good as long as you ate on the outside. The middle was soggy and checked the dough was not fully cooked. We ordered the supreme pizza. The crust of the pizza. Was good and toppings were good as well. No issues there. The main issue was the sauce. It was basically all tomato paste but did not taste like tomato or did really have any flavor. It was odd at best. Other things observed. My wife noticed French fries in a heating box. They were there when sat down and did not move until we already had our pizza. It was at least 10-15 minutes. Then it was served to the table behind us. Needless to say they did not eat but a few of them. We looked after they left. From what I heard around everyone else likes the Alfredo sauce and the bruschetta. I do not think I will be returning. If I do I will be trying the pasta with Alfredo. The prices were fair and the service was good. I just really wish I could say the pizza was worth it.

Our group of three had fun ordering three pizzas and mixing and matching. I had the very unique "Kentuscany," made with smoked pork, goat cheese, sweet red onions, and house-made bourbon sorghum reduction. A little sweet for me (no surprise there), but I appreciated the flavors. Another member of our group had the La Cicciona, made with ground beef, Italian sausage, ham, and pepperoni. I felt this pie could have used a little more seasoning. Another peep had the pesto di pollo, made with pesto, roasted chicken, artichoke hearts, red onions, and pine nuts. I'm not a fan of these types of pizzas, but this one was quite flavorful. I really appreciated it. Savory and delicious. They also have fungi (mushroom) pizzas, pepperoni, veggie, plain cheese pizzas. You can also make your own pizzas with various toppings. Anti-pasta includes: meatballs, spicy kale cesar salad, spaghetti. They have wine and cocktails as well. I had the sidecar, made with brandy, lemon juice, and orange liqueur. Very refreshing, a little on the sweet and thick side. Attentive service.

I went here for lunch month or so ago while visiting the old town I grew up in…read more I saw that there was now a pizzeria downtown, and I wanted to try it. I'd been around Stanford as a child when we got the town's first pizza place. . .and 40 years ago that Pizza Hut was revolutionary. I remember in the 1990's when we got a few little "mom & pop" pizza delivery places there too. So, seeing that there was a pizzeria in town as a sit-down place, I figured I'd want to try it next time I was in town. I will say that the actual Pizza itself was pretty dang good. The ambiance and decor were also the best (by far) of any pizza place that Stanford has ever had. I will say, there are two notable criticisms that dented my enthusiasm for the place however. First is, they have a VERY limited lunch menu. I went there on lunch only to find their lunch menu is literally postcard sized and only one option of a specific combo meal. . .choose what two toppings you want on your pizza, and which of two salads you want with that. I'd heard about some of their other pizzas, and was very disappointed I couldn't have those. Second is. . .who uses kale as the base green for a Caesar salad? I get trying to be creative and such, but when you literally only have two salad options on the menu, and the usual favorite of a Caesar salad has kale as its green base, that's a little TOO experimental for what I was hoping to be a comfort food lunch at a small-town pizza place. I'll give it a bit of credit for wanting to try new things. . .but some times you just want familiar comfort food. If I'm there at some point in dinner hours I may come back and find the place is better when I can order off the full menu, and I'll say it's a step up from the mass-market pizza joints that Stanford has had in the past. . .but I just can't justify a top rating for this place right now.

After ordering 24 Buffalo wings and some fries online - for $32 - I pulled up to the drive through window to get my order. I sat there for 3-4 minutes before anybody even came to check on me. I paid, got a bag of food and drove home... where I discovered they'd given me an order of 12 honey bbq wings. Called Pizza Hut. Phone rang 20 times and nobody answered, so back in the car. Back to Pizza Hut. Park to go inside and get orders straitened out and see that the building is closed. Drive through only. I have to wait behind 2 other cars for 6-7 minutes. When the car in front of me gets to the window, I can tell they are handed the wrong pizza, which is then exchanged. I see a pattern here. When I pulled up to the window the same person waits on me - with a confused look on their face - then says "did I give you the wrong wings?" Luckily my order was still sitting there. I take it all home, warm it up in the oven (the fries are cold by now) and - after wasting 30 minutes of my time - I eat the only order of food I'll ever have from this Pizza Hut. My advice - check your order very carefully before pulling away from the drive through window!
