My husband has been a fan of Giovanni's Pizza since he was a boy, so we had to check out this location in Danville. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and they had quite the crowd. We soon discovered why! Our server was very friendly and checked on us a few times. We ordered the buffet and there was no shortage of hot and fresh pizzas available while we were there. They continually replenished the pizza bar. The salad bar was also a favorite, and I was glad to find their signature red dressing available for my salad. Overall this was a fantastic value for the money, and we even brought home a couple bags of my husband's favorite potato chips. I have no doubt we will visit again soon. Favorite pizza place to eat at in Danville. They make personal pizza choices on request and waitresses are super friendly. The visit was great. Our waitress was awesome, keeps drinks coming without us asking, very attentive. They offer a wide variety, pizzas, pastas, subs, wings and salads long with a selection of appetizers and desserts. We started of with a basket of garlic bread with cheese and bacon topped with butter. Next moving on to the sale I had the Antipasto salad with is a blend of pepperonis, olives, mushrooms covered with tomatoes and red bacon bits. My wife went with the Super Chef Salad, a combination of diced hame, cheese and tomatoes toped with bacon bits. We had the Calzones with it served with Giovanni's special red dressing. They also offer a wide range of pasta, but we opted for Five Meat Treat Pizza. This is a masterful combination of premium meats cover with a blend of mozzarella and provolone cheese. You do have the option to build your own pizza. Regardless of what you choose from the Super Sub, or the signature Big read or any of the pizza offerings you will be well pleased and leave full. Each time I eat here it has been worse than the previous visit. There is clearly an issue with kitchen cleanliness as, without being too graphic, I have had massive digestive issues after consuming the food here. Stay away from the salad bar! The staff just tops off the containers and the veggies at the bottom are slimy. I will not be returning unless management changes hands or significant strides are taken to serve cleaner food. read more

Pizza was lackluster at best. The salad was shredded lettuce, cheese and spare on tomatoes.

Honestly, my experience here was just awful. The door knob and the ladies room is broken. I get locked in the bathroom ( now keep in mind I have bad claustrophobia ) understandably, I freaked out a bit and was banging on the door for around 5 minutes until one of their staff came to let me out. On top of that, the management were rude and dismissive!! 10 out of 10 would not recommend anybody eat here at this establishment. read more

I took my Grandchildren out for dinner and was told this was a family friendly restaurant. The owner can out in the dinning room and was yelling and cursing at the waitresses. If I thought that was what my Grandchildren would have to listen to I would never have gone there. To top it off I think there was spoiled meat on the pizza as it tasted funny. I really wanted to like this place. I love the buffet idea and the pizza was fresh, but it just lacked anything to make it stand out. Sadly, I like Dominos better. The service was ok, nothing special. There were some kids that were going crazy and jumping all over every booth, it was hard to even eat with all the ruckus. read more

All I can say is wow! We got the 18 inch Deluxe.... when they say deluxe they mean it. Every topping except for pineapple, jalapeño and anchovies. Thin crispy crust and piping hot. This is what I think of when I think deluxe read more

We are staying in Danville for a HS softball tournament. We had Giovanni's buffet this evening and it was delicious!! The pizza crust is thin and loaded with toppings. The marinara sauce was perfect for spaghetti or dipping crust or cheese sticks in. The place is also very clean and they have thought ahead giving you plates and your own serving utensil. read more

I'd give this zero stars if I could. Called in an order today, a Friday, at 6:30. They said it would be an hour and I said that was fine. An hour and a half later we still have nothing. Called to cancel the order and they tried to say it was already made and we couldn't cancel. I beg to differ, I set it up to pay cash lol. Visited on a Tuesday evening at 7pm and had the buffet. As an option you can ride from the menu at this Italian joint. Buffet consisted if 5-6 types if pizza, pasta, two kinds of sauce, tasteless fettuccine, bread, and a small salad bar. The price of dinner at$8 and change was okay for all-you-can-eat but this was definitely middle of the road in all regards. Pass. read more

Most excellent food and service. Never ever been inside yet, at least once a week, lots of times twice... and on occasion three or four.. times a week we get amazing food delivered. No matter what mood I'm in, they seem to have an answer, unless I'm craving fried rice....had family in town and figured we'd give the lasagna a go.. and oh so glad we did! Completely impressed constantly, and way past appreciate the delivery even if I'm a little further out than typical, I'll never mind any extra wait ( they are never later than they say either for us). We sat at our table for 10 minutes without any service! Another family walked in and sat behind us and got immediate service.
