No wait because we went at 5:30. We were able to order off the early bird menu. I got the sirloin steak medium with broccoli in a garlic butter sauce and a side salad. It was all cooked good. I did have to dip my broccoli in ranch left over from salad. Husband got the teriyaki salmon with broccoli and side salad. He enjoyed his food. Our daughter got pasta carbonara with a side salad. Rating: (3.1 stars) We stopped by Copper River Grill around lunchtime, and surprisingly, it was not busy at all--only about seven patrons total. With that in mind, we were hoping for prompt service, but unfortunately, the bar service was extremely slow, which was disappointing given how quiet it was. I ordered the kodiak chicken sandwich, which was a highlight--served hot and very tasty. The club sandwich was decent as well, but honestly, not something I'd recommend. The food itself wasn't bad, but the poor service really stood out. This used to be a great place, but now I'm not sure if it's on the upswing or still in decline. Food was good. It took FOREVER for it to arrive. Wasn't busy. Servers outnumbered customers. There must have been some sort of problem in the kitchen. Manager came to table to apologize 26 minutes after order had been entered into restaurant system which was some time AFTER we had ordered. Manager offered complimentary dessert. We left. My husband ordered a ribeye medium and it came out medium rare. My husband was okay with the cook on it, though, but struggled to chew the steak because it was so tough. I ordered a sirloin medium well and it came out medium rare. I had to send it back because it was so undercooked. The broccoli with my steak was so overcooked it was mushy and flavorless. My Italian chop chicken salad was to die for! My husband got the fried chicken sandwich and he loved that as well, the fries were great as well. Found this place during our travels. The interior was nice. The service was slow despite very few patrons. Prices were kinda high for the mediocre food. Unfortunately, one of our plates had hair in it. The waitress took it off our tab but then charged me for the side salad as if we ordered a salad entree! I don't recommend this restaurant. We really enjoyed our meal! My wife tried their Cheeseburger's tonight, and I have to say that they were top notch. These burgers are absolutely huge with a half pound of good quality meat in addition to the toppings. There is no way that someone could possibly leave hungry after eating one of these monsters and a side item. I had the 16 oz Prime Rib with the loaded Baked potato and it was truly amazing, Cooked to a perfect medium rare! Our group had the Baby Back Ribs as well. They were moist and fall off the bone tender. This is a beautiful restaurant that is kept exceptionally clean. It kind of have's an upscale lodge feeling. The service was great. We were checked on multiple times during our meal and all requests were filled quickly. My sister raved about their signature warm bacon dressing. Copper river COMBINES (both) house-made warm bacon & honey mustard dressings. My wife ordered the small version of the House Salad, but it was delicious! The small version of the salad was much more generous in size than a normal "side salad". Ask for the mini haystack as an appetizer. My wife and I had the most delightful dinner at the Copper River grill this week. We were in town on vacation and I had a craving for prime rib. Not only was the food outstanding, our server, Darcy, knocked it out of the park on the service! She took wonderful care of us, making sure our drinks were filled without having to ask. She absolutely provided a 5 star experience. The salads were divine, served with a honey glazed croissant on the side. We ordered the cheesy jalapeño dip and it was delicious, highly recommend! The Prime Rib was possibly one of the best cuts I've ever had. It was perfect and I didn't leave a scrap of it on my plate! My wife loved the blackened chicken fettuccini Alfredo and said it as one of the best fettuccini Alfredo dishes she has had, the tomatoes and broccoli took it up a notch. Parking was plentiful and the dining room had a nice darkened ambiance that makes it great for a casual dinner or someplace you could go for a special dinner night. We use to love this restaurant. It's been a couple of years since we had been here and recently drove from Lexington to eat there. First note, Health Department rate 87 with the recheck being a 91. Yikes! We proceeded. The restaurant was about 1/3 full but the hostess told us it would be a 25 minute wait. We sat at the bar and decided to get the heck out of Dodge. First time dining here. Stopped in for lunch at 12:30 on a Tuesday place wasn't very busy. I was seated immediately & my waiter Ethan had my order taken & my drink out in less than 5 mins. I ordered the steakhouse nachos because I love to try different styles of nacho dishes. I will say that there are like a really tasty cheesesteak if you can compare them to anything. Overall they are solid if you like blue cheese. If not don't get these as the blue cheese is pretty abundant. Only complaint is they are bit too salty, likely from the seasoning on the ribeye. I'd definitely come back as the service was really good & the atmosphere is great. We used to love it here. However, our experiences lately have been less favorable when it comes to the way food is prepared & the quality of that food. We miss the old CRG. Our bummer experiences have been before C19 started. While I know that's altered some things, quality of food and preparation should be consistent. The last few times we've eaten here have been with pickup orders. The most recent was a delivery order. Steak 1: ordered medium rare. Arrived almost well done. Steak 2: ribeye. Marbled is one thing. 3/4 of gristle is another. Not worth $23 at all. Twisty Mac & cheese: Dry, bland. Almost no cheese sauce at all. Stirred and nothing at the bottom. Salads were very meh. Watery lettuce. Very disappointed as almost $90 was spent. One badly prepared steak, one I'll quality steak and crappy twisty Mac and cheese. Not sure if you're rushed, have employees that don't care or what, but we'll dine elsewhere in the meantime and hope that maybe things will get better here like they used to be. read more

Food was actually good once I received it. Ordered the grilled chicken fingers and broccoli from the lunch menu. My cousin order the grilled chicken fingers as well but with a sweet potato. When the food was brought to us (was not our server), she had the fingers and sweet potato but the plate with the broccoli had a grilled cheese sandwich with it. She took it back and I could see her talking to our waiter. He came to our table and said he had hit the wrong button when entering my order and apologized for his mistake. Then after waiting again, the next plate had fried chicken fingers and not grilled. After giving me an annoyed look when I told him I ordered the grilled fingers, he took that plate back to the kitchen. By this time my cousin had finished eating her lunch and I was still waiting. Fortunately she had ordered an order of onion strings, so I ate several of those. (By the way, they were good but expensive $15). He finally brought my correct food and by that time, I wasn't really hungry and took most of it with me. When he brought the check, he apologized again from himself and the Copper River family.
