I was buying a new mattress so I called it in. I said I wanted a THICK crust meat lover and then I said just go ahead and put everything on it. She then said would you like a SUPREME DELUXE? I said yes but make sure it is a thick crust. I finished ordering my mattress and then went and paid and picked up the pizza. I put it in my passenger seat and started driving home. I got to the red light at Hansonville and decided to have a slice. When I opened the lid, I saw a Pizza that was thinner than a normal thin crust and it had very few toppings on the pizza and they only went 2/3 of the way to the crust. Also the dough tasted like flour because the did not put any salt on it I guess. I don't eat salt or better yet don't add salt to anything. I don't even have salt at my home. The card board box was thicker than the pizza dough. I was so disappointed. Well I drove to the one in St. Paul and carried it in and showed the manager and explained my concerns. She got a attitude and said that is a thick crust Delixe Supreme. I will NEVER order from any Pizza Plus again for as long as I live. The pizza was also one if the smallest Large pizzas I have ever seen. I am going to post two pictures and I would like for you all reading this post to leave a comment about what I have posted. Also, fries were left off of two of the combos and when that was brought to their attention, they still only gave one order. The other staff was nice and friendly and the other guests food was good. At first we were reluctant, thinking how could an Italian restaurant be any good in a small town in Virginia. After all, we are of Italian-American descent -- so we know genuine Italian food and being the cook in our home -- I know how to cook Italian. My meatballs are renowned with our family and circle of friends. Not only are we of Italian descent, we are from NYC where there are the best restaurants in the world!!!! I knew immediately that sign was spot on -- the restaurant smelled like my home growing up as a child on Sunday mornings! The aroma of the red tomato sauce carried us into our seats! My husband chose the raviolis and a side salad. The dinner included Italian garlic bread! The service from our server was divine: friendly, courteous and professional. You have to realize that Sparta is a small town, and this is a small town restaurant. Everyone here is local, and there aren't many people. While yes the service was on the slower side, they do take care of you. I literally saw a server help a mother warm up her baby bottle to feed her baby. (A terrible server could care less) My server did a good job of making sure our group had their drink refills, and all our food. I wasn't expecting to be there for almost 3 hours, but in the end we all had fun. The food was actually really good for a place that is more a bar vibe. I know Pizza is in their name, but the appetizers and Wings won me over. The Buffalo Chips were really flavorful and filling. They have open mic karaoke. I really liked that people from various tables were all going up taking turns singing. Looks like this town the folks are fun, and not at all shy. Plus its is Family friendly. If you don't like loud music and fun, well then avoid this place. I had fun eating, and singing. This place gets a 4, because the experience was fun. It wasn't a perfect 5, only due to the pizza dough and the slower service. Other than that, if I ever come back to Sparta, I will be stopping by for a bite.
