I like bold colors, body inclusive styles, American made, and unique pieces. Its like Belle Soiree was curated especially for me by a local business owner with flawless taste. The owner, Kim, is phenomenal. While my friend grabbed a few tunics for me to try on, Kim knew my style immediately and made excellent suggestions to try on. I even ended up buying one! It has quickly become my favorite tunic and I tell everyone about Belle Soiree. The boutique is impeccably curated, filled with gorgeous treasures and is the perfect place to put together a classy outfit for any occasion. Unfortunately, the owner circled me like an eagle for my duration at the store, then stood at the entrance just staring at me. I have no idea what it is that I did to cause this reaction. I've been to the store plenty of times before and had positive experience. I also visit and know many vintage vendors in the area. The whole experience just didn't sit well with me. I decided to not purchase anything because this type of behavior shouldn't be supported. It was uncalled for and unpleasant. I won't be returning. CS Folk (formerly BB Folk) calls itself a general store. General store means that you'll find all kinds of goodies here - home decor, trendy clothing, food items, and accessories. The store is in the stretch of Ohio City that's known for its vintage and thrift stores. Go to this store especially when you want unique gifts. INVENTORY: The store's inventory includes lots of cool clothing merchandise from local makers. For instance, I found a very fitting "witchy woman" hat at this store. Other merchandise that always gets me excited see home decor and wall art. There is an expansive shelf with refined decor. Prices are pretty reasonable considering the uniqueness. SERVICE: I found all staff to be very chatty and friendly. Always welcoming atmosphere. PARKING: Find street parking along Lorain Avenue and in the surrounding streets. It never tends to be busy in the area. EVENTS: The store collaborates with its neighbors - Table for 2, Recreational Pots and Plants for sidewalk markets. They're always fun and involved plenty of local makers. I highly recommend visiting the next market. I always love wandering into this store and tend to gravitate toward beanies and clothing. She was condescending when I said I didn't need a receipt, and said, "well this isn't the gap! The owner won't email you anything that's not the receipt." I was pretty startled by the interaction as I just wanted to get the jacket and get out of there. It quickly made the exciting experience of getting a cute item not so pleasurable. I loved the purchase, but a little hesitant about returning due to the poor customer service that was provided in such a short time exchange.

Haven is a cute little place in Chagrin Falls…read more The inside is very minimalistic. They have a small section of jewelry and scarves, and it doesn't take long to get through the store. Haven is sort of off the main drag from the rest of Chagrin Falls and the store is set back a little next to a bank (I believe). Its evident they've handpicked all their items to be displayed, and the owners have clearly crafted a vision for their store. When I visited, all the clothing in the store was very tiny. As a tall person, this made it difficult for me to find anything long enough. I get the fitted look, but fitted doesn't always work when you're tall. They did have some beautiful printed dresses but only had them in small sizes. Maybe I just caught them on a weird day... who knows. I hear they do personal styling, which some of my friends have done and been very happy with. While I couldn't leave with anything, its overall still a nice shop to come peruse some beautiful items.

After that she saw an item I had posted on Facebook and requested a wholesale order be custom made to her specifications. Upon receipt she gave positive reviews: months later after not receiving payment, I reached out. She mentioned that they had not sold well and I politely reminded her that these items were made to her specifications and that their selling is her sole responsibility, like any other wholesale account. I paid out materials and labors for manufacturing what is essentially her design, and she has yet to pay. She stopped responding months ago - I have screen shots of the entire exchange. We loved the 'fun' inclusions like the slide and the fridge. Unfortunately, a lot of the clothing was either not our style or we were priced out. I did end up scoring an NFL duffle bag for my boyfriend for a very fair $15. If nothing else, this is a fantastic place to browse indoors on a rainy day, take a trip back in time and see tons of nostalgic items, and chat with the very friendly staff. Parking is on the street either out front or in a nearby side street.
