Officially OBSESSED. As a person who gets her lashes refilled every 3 weeks, I am very picky about them. I've tried many studios and have experienced the good, the bad, and the ugly. I was very skeptical overall because I have friends who have had horrible experiences with other lash artists. I found Ratana on yelp earlier this year, and since then I have been to her several times for random fills, and each time she does an AMAZING job. In addition to doing an excellent job EVERY TIME, Ratana is an Xtreme Certified lash technician, so you know she has been properly trained and utilizes high quality glue and lashes. No cluster lashes here! The most important thing is, Ratana takes her time to fill your lashes!!! You know you're getting quality work done when someone takes their time, and she gives you extensions as natural as you like them or as dramatic as you like. I tend to go for a more natural look, but she recently gave me lashes with some volume, and the volume lashes look really natural on me and it's enough, so that I don't need to use eyeliner! I believe making volume lashes look natural is a skill that can be hard to master especially if they are 4D style lashes or higher. I say that because she can do 5D, 6D, 7D, 8D and higher style lashes! That's so cool, right?! Ratana is very personable in her mannerisms; she goes above and beyond to accommodate all her clients. There has been several times where I would request to see her that day, and she would squeeze me in even if it meant working really late for her after having a long day. I have also had situations where I was not able to make it on time or at all, but she has ALWAYS been so gracious about it, and still welcomes me to see her whenever I need. I never feel that I am bothering her, and to me that's important because I RUB my eyes in the middle of the night during sleep from time to time, which would cause me to return within 2-3 days to get them touched up. (I hate it when that happens) I'm getting better at not doing that! haha Ratana is gifted in her abilities to give you the look you want, and she will always be honest with what look she can create to fit your face! Hands down Ratanais the best Lash Stylist in the DMV area. She is truly TALENTED and her work is amazing. I've been getting lash extensions for about 6 years now and before I met Ratana, I've had 3 other stylist. I was introduced to Girl Undiscovered Lash by a Hair Stylist and I saw her lashes and was shocked at how great they looked. For the last 3 years I was on the hunt for someone that could achieve the dramatic look and who could execute it properly without damaging the natural lash. Finally I found Ratana!! I've been seeing Ratana for 4 months now and wanted to wait before I posted a review to comment on the quality of work, her consistency, scheduling time and etc. To let you guys know, I get Mega Volume "Russian Volume" with about 8-10D with a D curl and I have short Asian lashes that point straight down. I've changed my style a few times and she knows exactly what I want and how to do each style. You can tell she is extremely skilled and knows how to work on different shaped eyes and lashes (short, coarse, oil, etc). There has been no damages to my natural lashes which shows she knows how to correctly put them on. I do not get many fall out and they are still very full after 2 full weeks. She is very accommodating on your schedule, she's on-time, and doesn't rush through your appointments. On your first session with her, you will notice that this is a passion of hers. She makes sure you walk out happy - always. Something to note is that she does her work out of her home, its super clean, relaxing and comfortable. She has a dedicated room and has an separate entrance from her home She is super hygienic - she washes her hands and uses hand sanitizer constantly (you must think that is a given but trust me, there are a lot of stylist that don't wash their hands between clients). Also she has pillow sheet pads she changes between each client. Overall, I had an amazing experience with Ratana and would recommend her to my family and friends. Ratana is the best! I wanted to treat myself to lash extensions that would make my eyes stand out for my wedding photos, but still be natural looking. Not only did she deliver on that, but the whole process was super easy. I was able to make an appointment online and reschedule it without any issues.
