About a week after getting my lashes done, I noticed I had almost no retention. I drove over an hour back to the studio because I was genuinely concerned. I explained to the owner--not even the lash technician who did my set--that my extensions appeared to be attached to my eyelids instead of properly isolated to my natural lashes. On top of that, my lashes were falling out in huge clumps, with 4-5 of my natural lashes attached to a single extension. The owner took a quick look and immediately claimed she saw "growth." I have photos proving there was no significant growth after only one week. I was terrified of losing even more of my natural lashes. She eventually admitted she saw some areas with problems and offered to replace those sections, but at that point I no longer trusted the work. I requested a full removal because I was scared and upset that I had been allowed to leave the salon with lashes applied so incorrectly. The lash technician who removed my lashes was incredibly kind, apologetic, and sympathetic. She never tried to make excuses or argue with me, and I truly appreciated how professionally she handled the situation. What really shocked me was the owner's response. Instead of taking accountability, she said, "Well, if I had done your lashes, it would've been different." My response was, "But you didn't." As the business owner, I expected her to take responsibility for the work being done under her business instead of shifting the blame. It was honestly confusing that her employee was far more apologetic, understanding, and compassionate than she was. The owner also told me that if I was this scared, I "shouldn't get my lashes done." That comment was completely inappropriate. I've had lash extensions many times before, and I've never experienced painful tugging, poor isolation, or lost this many natural lashes during a removal. This was not a normal experience. To make matters worse, she told us to be quiet because she had other clients in the studio and refused to issue a refund because "the work had already been done." She kept saying she had another client she needed to take care of and was clearly trying to rush us out before the refund was even completed. It wasn't until I showed her the videos and photos documenting what had happened that she finally agreed to refund me. Throughout this entire interaction, she never apologized once--not for the poor application, not for the damage I was worried about, and not for the way the situation was handled. The way this situation was handled was unacceptable. The owner showed no empathy or accountability, and I left feeling dismissed and on the verge of tears after seeing how many of my natural lashes had come out. It's honestly shocking that the lash technician showed far more professionalism, compassion, and remorse than the business owner. I will never return, and I would strongly encourage anyone considering this studio to think twice. Decided to get my lashes done for the first time before my wedding. The receptionist was very nice and helpful and the service was prompt. The issue I had was my lashes were uneven when I left. It made one eye look bigger than the other. I texted the owner and they were able to somewhat fix it and I have no complaints about the people who work there. For the service I don't feel that its deserving the hefty price tag especially since as a new client I apparently got a discount of $100 dollars off. I've seen Jacqueline about 5 times now, for a lash lift first, then extensions. The skill is definitely there, and Jacqueline has her technicians work on models first before they service clients, so I think the other technicians are taught well too. The establishment is squeaky clean, and their new office is very elegantly done with complimentary beverages graciously offered. Most importantly though, Jacqueline and her husband are laser focused on servicing their clients in the best way possible. I've had a couple minor hick ups, first with scheduling, then the lashes not being as long as I wanted - totally expected when a new relationship is being established between client and business. Both times, Jacqueline and her staff bent backwards over to ensure I was 100% satisfied. That attitude and the level of dedication to a client's happiness (so much so that Jacqueline would come to work on an off day) is what takes a small business from good to great and separates it from the pack. I recommend Jacqueline for all your lash needs! The lift didn't agree with me because I found the chemicals irritating for my sensitive skin but I love the lash extensions! They're expensive but great if you want to save time every morning and look made up without makeup. I've tried other lash brands, and confidently can say Extreme lashes (the brand used here) is wonderful; feels light and gentle. read more

I heard about lash extensions awhile ago and did a lot of yelp research before deciding to go with Lash Jolie Studio. First of all everyone was so sweet. Jaqueline's husband Douglas made me a cup of tea when I arrived and even made me another for the road! I also parked in the wrong garage and he went down to my car and put a visitor pass on my dashboard for me. So nice! The studio is beautiful and very welcoming. They have plenty of refreshments available while you're waiting which is a nice touch. Nicole did my lashes and she was wonderful. We went over all the options and some pictures before deciding on my look. The application process itself took about an hour and a half but it was very relaxing. She applied a patch on my under eyes while she worked but I really didn't notice it and it came off very easily with no discomfort. The room where the application is done is just like at a spa with a comfy bed and soft music playing. We talked while she did I my right eye but I mostly dozed while she did my left. It's definitely pricey but most other places I looked were in a similar price range and I'm willing to pay for the excellent service and atmosphere.
