Kimmy was lovely to work with and was able to make recommendations on what would work on my current (non-existent) lashes and what would be feasible to maintain on my busy mom schedule. As someone who is allergic to literally every single thing on the planet, I was worried if I would have a reaction to the LED lashes. The whole process was completely gentle and painless. Vi is one of my favorite technicians because she's very detail oriented and really takes her time to make sure you leave a happy camper. Regardless of who you choose, rest assured you're in good hands -- all of the artists use high-quality tools/lashes, and they're all well trained. The salon itself is spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Full sets typically range from $160 to $200+ (not including tip), and parking is free in the Old Town Plaza garage (blue visitor spots on P5). **THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT ACTUAL LASH SERVICE** Im super bummed to write this but yelp wants me to write more reviews so here we go. Backstory:: Im currently a SAHM, I have a 2 and 4 year old that go to three days a week school for 3.5 hours. My time to myself is limited during the week. Scheduling things is often tough and a obstacle specially as Christmas is rolling around. I decided to look for a lash service since I had been to the service years ago but only get beauty services done when its a holiday or something special like a wedding. I decided to take this week to try and do some things for me since its the last week of school. Saw that there was a last min appt for there same day appt at 11am. I booked it, paid the $50 to secure it and dropped the kids off at 930 and drove to Fairfax and sat in a nearby cafe for almost a hour to wait for the appt. I left and started to walk toward the salon and 13 min before the appt they text me saying there has been an emergency with the techs car and she won't be in till 1140. I asked if I waited around would the service be done by 1245 since I need to leave once again to pick my kids up in Chantilly by 120. They responded no and gave me a lot of other times but, as stated before, I have such little hours for these kind of appts during the week. Nothing really works in the afternoon. I asked if we rescheduled to tomorrow there would be any discount for the compensation of time I spent driving here, and driving back... waiting around just to be told to come back later. They offered $10 off because of the ongoing existing promo but I felt as if they really didn't value the time I spent to come here and wait and ten min before being told to reschedule. I had to ask 2-3 times for the $50 refund, where I guess the person was taken back by me asking if there would be any discount for the time I wasted to come all the way then cancel the appt, she responded "what type of discount are you looking for that would be feasible for your time?." Which for a business owner to ask, seems rude to me. Somewhat mocking that oh, what I said isn't good enough, what are you expecting..? Im more disappointed than upset because I also have worked in the customer industry and when something goes awry I have done everything in my power to keep the customer happy to become a repeat customer of the future and hopefully recommend others. To me, $10 didn't compensate the time I felt I had wasted when I only have limited time in the beginning. To other potential customers... I ask you to reflect on the WHAT IF this situation happened to you. . sure theres things in life that are unexpected, Ive dfinetly had a flat tire, slow public transportation, illness etc. But id expect something back to show they still cared about me. Anywho, my rant is all about the customer service I received for the last min cancel. I told them my situation with kids and their school and no one to watch them In the end and they never responded to my last message. If you have the choice, look into other lash salons. Not only that but she takes the time to get to know you and your skin type so that your lashes stay on as long as possible. Be careful you may find yourself falling asleep during your appointment with Vi because she has the most gentle hands ever. you can hardly feel anything when she is doing your lashes I promise you its absolutely insane how gentle she is.
