I took my 22 month old here for a walk in haircut, only his second one, so a big deal. Stylist (I didn't even get her name) started hacking at his hair DRY, huge chucks out of his bangs (I asked for a class bowl cut) totally uneven and just looked terrible terrible. My husband walked in and was godsmacked and asked her to fix it, which she attempted but it was too late. It's just hair, not life or death but I wanted him to look cute for holiday travel and he looks like I cut his hair with a lawn mower. I'm bummed, would NOT recommend. read more

Every other salon I've ever been in I felt a bit uncomfortable...like I had to either chit-chat the entire time like I was stuck on an airplane with a lonely granny or like I was sooo horrible at keeping my hair up to salon standards... Gisele is on my wave length. No fuss. No BS. She listens to what you want and makes it happen. She takes her time with dying to make sure it's the right shade but she is such a pro at haircuts that she usually gets them done in under 15 mins! Score! Nicole was kind enough to take us in on a Sunday (same day) when no one else would take us without a 2-5 day appointment schedule and the given fact that NO SALONS ARE EVER OPEN ON SUNDAYS or even pick up their phones from an LA number!!! My mom needed a haircut and dye and I had a limited amount of time since I was in town for a day and it was so last minute but Nicole made it work. When we got to the place which is located in the carson city mall (go through the mall entrance by the Joann/lazy boys is easiest/fastest) she was prepared and ready. My mom is a talker but Nicole was so patient and sweet. I spilled soda on her floor when I came back to pick up my mom and she wasn't annoyed or irritated like some people were. I cleaned up the mess of course and she just had the best attitude about it! We need more people like Nicole. I love this place. She gave my mom a haircut and dyed her hair RED (my mom always request her favorite color) and the look on my moms face after Nicole's talented work was priceless. I would have tipped more but I didnt have enough money as I thought and I didn't want to give her a bag of quarters from the car. She definitely is getting our business whenever my mom needs her hair did for life!!! THANK YOU NICOLE! My mama keeps telling everyone she looks 20 years younger where ever we went that day. I decided to give Gisele's Salon a try and was really happy with my experience there. Not only could I just walk in (on a Monday, no less, where most other salons are closed), but it was easy to find. Gisele is so incredibly friendly, and is GREAT at her job. So efficient. I don't like to sit at a salon for hours getting my hair cut...i think i was in and out in 20-30 minutes without sacrificing any quality to my haircut. Gisselle's salon was absolutely the best haircut I've personally had before i even had an idea what i wanted and i think it turned out great and not to mention that everyone in there is so friendly and just open to anyone its like family in there everyone's lively in it i think thats mostly important in a shop to feel comfortable in the atmosphere the music is nice and modern not too old or too bad just right. Not to mention its not just hair just ask anything and most def they will take of you. And for the qween herself lol Gisselle shes amazing and she just know whats she doing not like other hair stylelist that will ask for $100 where she and her shop will only ask you for $25-50 and WILL DO AN EVEN BETER JOB than some of the high end places if anyone tells you different don't believe them at all this is absolutely perfect and i am sure it will take off it to something bigger.
