WOW, Bailey did it again! I am literally obsessed with my hair. Came in on a slow Thursday morning & I didn't even have to wait a second. I checked in then seated to start right away. I sent her pics of the cool tone I wanted, and she showed me what she thinks would look great on me. Over the year or so, we have worked so hard to get my dark damaged hair to blonde. After about 4 hours, her masterpiece was done & I absolutely loved it! QUALITY: 5/5 Can be pricey for those who aren't used to paying a good amount of money for great quality. Same goes with products, obviously you'd have to pay more for a better outcome. She used a ton of high-end products on my hair so it'd turn out healthy and voluminous as ever. For all the foil and products put on my hair, she definitely reached the color I initially wanted! SERVICE: 5/5 Love her....I mean I've know her for quite a while now, but not being biased at all. She's so accommodating and lets you know every step she's taking, so you're fully aware of what is being done. I didn't want a trim, but she did mention my tips are so dead and it desperately needs it. I did it just because I know she's great at what she does & cares about the long-term health of my hair. I've been to this salon twice. First time I had made an appointment and received a text the morning of asking me to come in 2 hours earlier as I was the stylists last client for the day. Not a huge deal, the haircut and color turned out well, and my time was flexible that day. The second time, I made an appointment and of course received a text that same morning asking me to reschedule as this stylist was ill and wouldn't be coming in that day. The trouble was I had taken the day off of work to accommodate a haircut, a real treat for me since I am 5 months pregnant and 13 months postpartum. I was really looking forward to pampering myself and asked if they could squeeze me in with someone else. She said she'd have the receptionist call me as soon as the salon opened. That never happened. So I left a voicemail on the machine asking for a call back to see what could be done- again, I took a day off for this. Never received any other kind of communication from them again. I wonder if I was treated this way because they knew I wouldn't be a $300-400 client, I was simply looking for a haircut and tone. Either way, this place left a really bad taste in my mouth, zero regard for the clients time, and didn't possess the decency to return a phone call. It took me a while to decide wether or not I wanted to right a yelp review but I feel that it is only right. I had booked with Brianna for hand tied bead extensions. I was told they would help my hair grow and become healthy again. I had a few complications throughout the beginning but nothing too major, such as hair from the extension falling out, stress bumps from the extensions being on too tight, and wefts falling out which was partially my fault. However, it wasn't until I was a couple months in and started noticing balding. My hair wasn't in the most perfect condition as it was bleached before the extensions but I did my research and realized that extensions being on too tight can harm your hair follicles and can cause balding. I was extremely upset only for the fact that I wasn't told about the bald spots I had, I had found them myself. I completely understand that it depends on a person hair but it would've been respectable if the hairstylist would have mentioned it rather than overlooking it. I can't assume that she didn't notice them because for my bead move ups, she would place them in different areas. *Assuming because of the loss of hair from the last placements she would do. I ended up taking the extensions out and my hair and scalp is in such a terrible condition - worse than it's ever been. It's also very thinned out and felt and still feels straw-like. It's been a few months and I'm still doing treatments to restore its health. Overall, the stylist was sweet and nice just not very trust worthy to be completely honest. My conclusion is that extensions are a scam especially if you don't have extremely thick hair. A pointer would be to do your research and find a hairstylist you can absolutely trust! read more

I cannot keep to myself about my awful experience I had with a certain hairdresser who rents a booth at Blossom Salon in Carson City. I went to see her after talking to her about wanting to have my hair colored (extremely faded green/blue to dark red). I talked with her specifically about what I was looking for and the process behind it. She said "We can achieve the red without pulling the green out of your hair. Since that red is darker. Plus I don't want to damage your hair by doing a color remover". She had me in her chair and started to cut my hair. While cutting my hair she said that she was not only going to bleach wash my hair, but also give me a color correction that was previously stated wasn't needed. She had me in the washing sink for over 20 minutes. After drying, coloring, washing again and drying again this hairdresser openly stated that she was glad she bought another red color option as she confirmed she didn't think the original color she put in my hair was going to be good enough, therefore doubling the appt time given while being charged per hour. Due to the extra processing I had to have, I was required to sit with my head dangling over the edge of the wash sink for more than twenty minutes, as well as having three other 10 minute washes. For the past several days I have had constant, dull excruciating neck and upper back pain as a result of having been left in such position in the hair washing sink for much longer than I should have. I am not a professional hairdresser, therefore have no experience or knowledge of the risks involved with leaving a client unattended too long with their head dangling back in a sink. I have since found several articles specifically outlining the dangers that include muscle pain, nerve damage and even stroke due to clotting at the site of constant pressure. These are things I hope to be taught in any cosmetology school before receiving a license.. Please see the link below for more information. I have been icing as well as heating my neck and upper back more times than I can count over the past 6 days. I have been using numbing agents/CBD cream/extreme pain relievers daily. I'm making sure I get plenty of antioxidants through foods/teas. Ive missed several important income opportunities due to my overwhelming pain. I am currently looking into chiropractors or massage therapists as a way to relieve at least some pressure and pain. I, unfortunately, cannot afford to go see a doctor to address the pain, and have had to spend even more money on CBD gummies, going to the hot springs, heating pads, and other medicines in hopes of finding some relief. I am concerned that another client may be left too long in this hairdressers chair and end up in a similar situation. I hope my unfortunate experience may help someone else avoid this painful and costly situation. I have tried several times to reach out to her for some sort of resolution to this, but all I have gotten back is a wave-off and blame toward me. To top it, she has since blocked me on social media and has yet to respond to my texts. I have had my hair cut at different places so I felt i should try here, had an appointment then chickened out then thought I'd try again, so I asked to speak to who I'd been referred to ,to see if she could do the haircut I wanted, showed her pictures etc... made the appointment and took the step... I'm sorry but I'm a retired hair designer and it didn't take long to know I was in trouble, she turned me away from the mirror and proceeded ... once she was done and gave me the mirror I showed her the haircut AGAIN that I wanted and tried to explain how I would do it... she said there are many ways to do it , so I just shut up let her finish , paid and left, I'm so sorry I loved this salon and wanted to do business in the town I live, but I'm so unhappy, feel so ugly, and want to wear a hat and never get a haircut again... Bri McCord is an amazing stylist. She put in my Habit Hand Tied extensions and made them look amazing, listening to exactly what I wanted and reproducing it. When I moved to Carson City 4 years ago I found Jen colonna from a neighbor and after having my hair done at several locations before that and not impressed with the stylist and service I was happy to find Jen!! She always did exactly what I asked her to do whether it was a color or a haircut. Had an appointment with her lined up and found out she no longer worked there. The said at Blossom's they did not know where she went. Soo.. they gave me another girl that was not a senior stylist(after going there for 3 years I felt I should get a senior). The girl was very pleasant but took 6 hours to put highlights in my hair and when I got home the whole inside the back of my hair was solid orange. So I called the salon and told them what happened and the stylist said come in and she should fix ?? I told her after 6 hours she knew what the back of my hair looked like and should have fixed it before I left!! I was never able to talk to the manager/owner. So I told the stylist I wanted and appt. the next day with another stylist to fix my hair. I did get another person to fix it the next day another 2 1/2 hours and of course did not have to pay for it!! The owner/management never contacted me with an apology or even acknowledged that there was a problem. In the meantime I have found Jen again and so thankful as I totally do not trust Blossoms.
