It was a flat rate which I appreciated and there were several types of payment options. We got confirmation who our driver would be shortly after booking, and we were sent his vehicle and contact info. He then tracked my uncle's flight so he could adjust if it was delayed (and it was). It was a great experience and a huge peace of mind knowing he would be safely tracked by one person who we had communicated with in advance. He texted me when he arrived and I received his text as our plane landed. He told me exactly where he parked his car which 5 steps from the exit of the terminal. On the way he explained many historical facts about Montana, Billings and the town of Absorkee where our Lodge was located. We were staying at the Montana Fly Fishing Lodge and they primarily use his company. His new Lincoln Navigator was clean and very comfortable. When it was time for us to leave, he picked us up and took us back to the airport. We talked about many things. He was such a good conversationalist and such a wonderful person. When we got out of the car, he handed us a package to take with us on the plane. When we opened it up, we saw that it was two fresh chocolate donuts. I have to say, those were the best chocolate donuts I have ever had, and my friend felt the same way. I will always use Trailhead Shuttle and Transport whenever I am in Billings or anywhere near there. They are great!

Hiking and Art, what a combination!…read more I discovered Tippet Rise last year but was too late in reserving tickets. I am glad to report that I have made a visit and it was spectacular! It was more than I could imagine and the experience is worth telling over and over. The location is about 2 hours Northeast of Yellowstone National Park. It is a tad secluded but that is part of it's allure. It is the right amount of misplacement. The county/city will not allow signs to be put up to help visitors so follow the GPS wisely. It is not difficult to find. There isn't too many turns or roads to take. There are about 5 - 6 enormous sculptures location within the property, including a piece loaned by the Smithsonian. The furthest piece is about 5 miles one way. Visits are allowed to bring their own bikes with helmets or simply hike. There is also a shuttle service so hiking and biking is not a commitment. Jenny was the staff member shuttling all the visitors around and she was amazing! She was friendly, so knowledgeable and kind. She added to the fantastic experience! The property was all ranch land and is rented out to cattle farmers so there are cows and sheep roaming all around. It is a great site to see. The center does provide food for purchase. All the food is prepared and sold by Wild Flower Kitchen. I had their fruit salad, garden salad and grain salad. They were all delicious, simple and local. Their oatmeal cookie also hit the spot. Tips: - Bring sunscreen even on a cloudy day. - Be sure to check in and check out. - Bring hiking shoes and plenty of water. Pros: - Large groups welcomed. - Tours are provided, only $10 each. - Such a beautiful area. Cons: - Only open 4 months out of the year. This place is a hidden gem and I hope more people visit! They are well organized and they've got a great system. They always keep into account the visitors' safety. Everyone is friendly and enjoys what they do. Be sure to reserve and visit!

Joliet is a small town on the way to one of the entrances to Yellowstone Park. There are no big-name hotels in this area, so you need to rely on the small-town often family-run businesses. Botts is that! You can't even make a reservation online. You have to call. How old school is that? But I like it. It's the personal touch. The fun thing about these small, non-chain places, is how unusual the rooms can be. This was no exception. When I walked in, there was a table for working with the coffee maker, the bed -- the usual, on the other side was the entrance to the very large bathroom. The room was set up as an L-shape and around the corner from the bathroom entrance, was a mini-living room. Two chairs, one a recliner, facing the large tv. Seriously? How amazing is that? The bed was good, comfortable, the pillows were okay -- but probably need a refresh, the wi-fi was good, the room was quiet, although I could hear the people in the room next to me who were having a good time yelling at the football game on their tv -- at least until it was over and then it was so quiet and the curtains kept the room so dark, that I overslept the next morning. It was a good day.
