Not only does Haley have excellent coloring skills, she's a down to earth gal, that takes the time to get to know you and your hair needs. She really goes above and beyond for all her clients and takes the time to go the extra mile to ensure you will look and feel fabulous after leaving her salon. I use to live in NYC and paid big bucks to have my hair colored by well known colorist...however, I never was impressed with how my color would turn out. It was never blonde enough or for some reason ended up looking unnatural. I remember one time I paid 500.00 for a partial color at a well known salon in NYC...I left the salon crying...I was so upset with my color that I booked a flight right away to Minneapolis to have Haley fix it...All I told Haley was, "I want it bright blonde!" No questions asked, Haley did exactly what I wanted...NO ONE compares to the work Haley does. Her sense of style and coloring skills are truly one of a kind and it's very hard to find someone as talented as her. Haley has been doing my hair for years now and I will continue going to Haley no matter where she's located. It's one hundred percent worth your travel time and money to have Haley do your hair. You will not be disappointed! Haley, has recently moved into a space of her own at Sola Salon in Uptown. I visited when she first opened her doors. The space is cute and cozy. It was such a relaxing experience. I had my hair colored, a deep conditioning treatment, and an eye brow wax. While I was getting my deep conditioning treatment Haley waxed my eyebrows... My eye brows needed a lot of work, shaping, and cleaning up...I was nervous to have them done...however, my eyebrows looked amazing after Haley did them. I was so happy with her work. I also loved all her new products she used on my hair and will be picking some up on my next visit. As I sat in Haley's chair I had a smile from ear to ear, as I was so happy with how my hair and eye brows turned out. It was exactly what I wanted! I left her salon that day looking and feeling like a million bucks. I always receive so many compliments on my hair color after Haley does it and this time was no different. If you're wanting to change things up or just refresh your current color, I highly recommend making an appointment with Haley...you'll be so happy you did. Trust me :-)

I have absolutely adored a stylist named Matthew at Wave for 9 years. Conversation is always entertaining. If I didn't live far, far away, I would never go to anyone else for hair and brows. He also does makeup and special occasions (he refuses to do an up-do). He has such loyal customers; he has even done a few clients for their own funerals. He doesn't believe in hair extensions, but he does do eyelash extensions (I have not partaken). His coloring is great. I have recommended several friends and they are always pleased. I went to an 80's Prom party and he took an entire Saturday to do hair and makeup for eight women. The results were like, totally awesome. His hair cuts are about $40 (CHEAP!) and he doesn't push product.

My research has piqued my interest to trying Rhonda Allison products for ethnic skin. But Megan has sold me on giving her a try for "results driven" facials. Megan impressed me initially by sharing her knowledge and reasoning behind the products used. She definitely embodies the definition of a customized facial based off whatever reason brought you in her studio mixed with the recommendations that she has from what she notices. I appreciate this honesty. I personally do not use 3x mirrors because I can't handle what I might see. So I expect my esthetician to manage the horror and make me have Gabrielle-Union-like skin without having to drink a gallon of water a day. Is this too unreasonable? Apparently not, because Megan has convinced me that she can deliver. For my custom facial she used a high frequency wand to zap my milia and other skin issues. It was such a warming feeling to find her using this machine because I JUST purchased one but was afraid to use it because I didn't want to shock myself or cause any skin damage. She eagerly showed me how to use the device and informed me that it was a recommendation she usually gave to her ethnic clients, as well. Score for Heather for being proactive!
