There were 2 people in the same town with the same name and we provided the incorrect address. The florist called me, tracked down the right address, even went and picked up the flowers and redelivered them to the right address. Honestly, what more could you ask for? I don't often write reviews, but today I was provided such extraordinary service that I wanted to share the story with others. At about 12:30pm I called Given Erwin Florist and spoke with the owner Cindy and asked if I could have a dozen roses delivered to my wife's office before the end of the work day. She said that she would try to get them there by 4. At 2:30 Cindy called me and was personally delivering the flowers - which in this age of Covid required getting a security guard to let her in the building. She was at the front desk of my wife's office which was unattended and was calling to make sure my wife was there. She was and the flowers were a huge hit and my wife got to parade them through the office. I thank Cindy for going the extra mile to arrange and to deliver the flowers so quickly and then making sure the flowers were in the proper hands. My wife was thrilled to get the flowers and I am a hero. But the true hero is Cindy who made everything happen so quickly and with great care. This has been my second year working for Given Erwin for Valentine's Day and both times I've been very happy. The owner- Cindy, went above and beyond and handled things so I could mail her a card and some earrings to be delivered with flowers, and things went off without a hitch. She was in regularly communication with me throughout the process so I knew when things arrived (the earrings came in at the last minute - phew!) and made me feel like a valued customer. I'm not certain how long ago Given Erwin opened up shop. My now-husband discovered the florist shop one Sunday morning when leaving La Cascia's parking lot. He wandered in on a whim and met the proprietor who wound up giving him some free flowers after a nice discussion. Since then whenever he went to get me flowers, he'd go there and I would have a lovely, fragrant, long-lasting bouquet to decorate my house with. The real test came when I got married. We wound up pushing the wedding up by 10 months (thanks, Massachusetts, for penalizing those of us who can't afford COBRA insurance). I had resigned myself to not having any flowers at the wedding due to time and money constraints. My future mother-in-law offered to buy me a bridal bouquet, so we went to see Cindy at Given Erwin. She had one week in which to put together a bouquet. When my then-fianc walked in to ask if she could pull it off she said, "When's the wedding? Because as long as you have 10 minutes I can make this happen." She sat with me and brought me plenty of books to look over. I will say she has no portfolio of the work that she has done herself, only stock books (and every bride will have read in every bridal magazine ever that if she has no portfolio pics you're supposed to walk out right away, do not pass Go, do not collect $200. Glad I said screw that and went with my gut). However, as it was right before Christmas I could see the ongoing work for the holiday bouquets she was sending out. She was patient with us and friendly, she offered advice but was never pushy, and presented me with a stunning bouquet on my wedding day. Her prices were reasonable, the flowers were open and healthy, the scent was phenomenal and her style is lovely. The bouquet did not look smushed nor was it too spaced-out. I opted for a "Free Style" bouquet and it was perfect. I would recommend that anyone try this florist out - she's accommodating, friendly and talented. read more

Cindy was amazing. Given Erwin Florist, we will definitely come back to you again. We were in a tight spot because there was a last minute funeral and multiple close family members were converging in Boston and needed help getting flower wreaths. I called a few different florist and they couldn't do 8 flower wreaths with less than a day of notice. One of the florist suggested that I call Cindy and she graciously accepted the order and delivered the flowers on time for the funeral the next day. The flowers were so beautiful and perfect. This is my opinion of the events concerning my order. My Godmother died very suddenly and I had to fly to Boston for her funeral. I called and told the owner I was coming from out of town because I was ordering them in the airport, I ordered two arrangements. I asked one for my mother that said Sister, and another from myself that said Goddaughter. I asked her if she had lilies and daisies for my arrangement because those were her favorite, daisies were a must. I asked for both to be between 100-150$ each. At the funeral I had to give a eulogy and following three day stay with family was emotionally draining. Then I had over a 24 hour layover in DC returning to North Carolina. When I finally got caught up on work I called to complain about the horrible $100-150 childlike arrangement that was sent to the funeral home (which was 8 days after the funeral) Not only did she tell me, "If you didn't like the arrangement why didn't you call me that day?" to which I said UMMMMMM I was at my GODMOTHERS FUNERAL (next time I know to call before or after I give a Eulogy) but she then told me I should have called the next day or when I got back from NC to which I responded, I was with my 35 cousins and 9 aunts and uncles trying to piece our lives together, I'm sorry that then I had to catch up on work where I take care of 140 frail and elderly residents in a nursing home and the funeral flowers were the least of my worry when considering in addition I'm now afraid of mother and grandfathers' health. She responded with, most people would have found the time... Lesson Learned: Next time I know A) not to order flowers here and B) if I don't like the flowers I order for a funeral after the eulogy, but before I go back to work to make sure that my frail elderly residents are taken care of, happy and in good health I should call the florist and complain. NOTED. I could have gone to Market Basket and bought these flowers and stuck them in this vase myself for much less and probably would have looked a million times better in my opinion. AVOID this place, unprofessional, rude and poor sloppy quality is the experience I felt like I had. arg. read more

I have use Cindy for business and personal needs for eight years now. I pick up the phone tell her what I want the needs are, how much I want to spend and she takes care of everything. I called her this past Thursday for her to put together something spectacular and was so happy that I was able to have her deliver it herself (it was close enough by). A very close co-worker and friend had passed away, when I placed the order my only request was I wanted the flowers to be so beautiful that if they were the one thing that made his wife smile...when I saw the flowers myself they were the most beautiful flowers I have seen, they were so beautiful they were placed by themselves in from of a fireplace, they were that beautiful.
