We were in the mountains 90 miles from Redding. Lucas decided a downslope pump was suitable. We did not have any fences, but our thirteen year old tank was 140 feet from the road, on a 30% slope. This was a difficult hose-pulling and laying job based on the slope and the vegetation. Everything went well. Gary was great and he completed within 45 minutes. I had no breaks in the baffling or tank, or anywhere on the property. We also spoke on the routine maintenance, and how to keep trees (and roots) away from the tank - that was helpful. And businesses often under-promise and over-deliver (which is rare, and oftentimes a selling point). Well, Ray over-promised and over-delivered (is that even possible?) Our water heater was in its last days and I could tell it was going downhill fast. It was a Thursday evening and I was losing hope that I'd get someone before the weekend hit. Well, Ray to the rescue. He responded via Yelp Thursday night letting me know to give him a call first thing Friday. Well, I did. And Ray walked me through step by step what it's going to look like and that he can come in Friday afternoon to get the water heater replaced. He answered all my questions BEFORE the job, made sure I knew everything I was going to purchase BEFORE he purchased it all. I was in the know and he did not try to sell me anything else I didn't need -- which I always appreciate. In fact, he went the extra mile to offer me different pricings and options for the water heater and its parts so I can pick for myself. He gave his two cents about the parts and the water heater AFTER I asked him about the difference, and not just rambling about his opinions trying to sell us the most expensive ones. Then, he came as promised right around noon and went right to fixing our mess. Got it done in a matter of few hours making it look awesome. Oh, but Ray isn't done after the installation and fix. He made sure to go over every little thing he did so that I wasn't left confused about anything. And he documented it all so I have it for my records. Then, he leaves saying I can let him know if I notice any further problems with it so he can make sure to tidy it up, not that I think I'll need it because he already did an awesome job for us. The job cost us right around what we thought it would cost us and that's always a good thing. A nice cherry on top is that Ray is very personable and is pleasant to talk with and is a people person. They came on time with a trailer we thought was way too small, but they were so efficient at loading, they had a mountain of junk in the trailer and the back of their truck in less than an hour. They put on the tarps and hauled it all away. Their price was more than reasonable and they also took some hazardous waste and paint away too. There was not even a tiny piece of paper left.
