I have owned and lived (full time) in a WinterCreek Home for four years now. Homes are complex structures. They take months to build, and there are thousands of details. In the four years I've lived here, I have never had an issue or a problem with my home. Materials are of much higher quality than any of my previous properties, which have included several brand new tract homes. I have found GLA Morris to be responsible and proactive builders. They are advocates for all the homeowners here. GLA Morris comes to all of the Homeowner Association meetings, and makes a real effort to assure the satisfaction of the property owners here. The floor plan of my home is very functional, spacious and well thought out. All of my appliances and fixtures have worked great, without any problem. The construction is solid, which can be seen by anyone visiting our neighborhood. Since new homes are under constructions, you can plainly see all of the materials used in these homes. The materials are all top notch. I feel safe in this house, no matter how much snow we get. And with the houses that are under construction, there always seems to be a manger doing quality control. Mike, one of the construction managers here, seems to know every nail and board in my home. Please be cautious about review sites. Negative name callers usually have some other axe to grind. The anonymous nature of these reviews lets anyone comment about any business. The nice thing about owning a WinterCreek home is that you can come check out the construction for yourself, or bring your contractor. The materials in my home speak for themselves. I also know most of the neighbors, and I've never heard any complaints about construction, maintenance, or warranties. Final note. As a (non construction) business owner, wouldn't it be great if trash talkers had to substantiate their claims? A fake bad review seems way too easy to tarnish the reputations of businesses that really provide excellent products or services. read more

It is very difficult to respond to post that are done anonymously. The first negative post was done by a competitor who had a project down the road from Winter Creek. There is no such buyer at Winter Creek named Gina H. The picture is also not of any owner at Winter Creek. The next post complements the homes but not the sales agent. As the developer I would very much like to speak with this Buyer to determine what happened so I can take appropriate action to fix and resolve the problem. Five year ago my wife and I purchased a Winter Creek Home from GLA Morris Construction. We rented a place in the same development until our home was completed, which allowed us to view the construction process. Skilled craftsmen performed the assembly using quality materials supplied by local vendors. The first year we moved in, Truckee endured some of the worst "ice damming" it had seen in years. We experienced a minor issue that year (the only one in five years) where one nail penetrated the wood over our porch allowing water to seep through. I contacted Tom Grossman, he personally inspected the area of concern, had his crew over the next day to remove several feet of snow & ice and mitigated the problem in less than 24 hours! This exemplifies superior customer service! Tom at Winter Creek Homes spent many patient hours with us while we were deciding on the right lot to build based on what we wanted to build. During the entire process, we dealt with Tom and his project manager Mike . We were IMPRESSED by Tom's staff, as well as all of his subcontractors. With this being our second home, and building a home 180 miles away it can be stressful. Tom's knowledge and professionalism really helped to reduce that stress. While the warranty has been expired for years, GLA has continued to take responsibility for any items that have been the result of work they performed.
