I have never dealt with such a rude business. We ordered a large bouquet through a 3rd party and received a very small bouquet. The 3rd party vendor said they would send out a new order but instead this local florist text me directly saying they would go to the home of the person who received the flowers who recently was out of surgery to take the bouquet back. Extremely rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend them based off their customer service skills alone. read more

I ordered a flower arrangement for my wife's birthday, to be delivered to our home. While attending church that afternoon, I received an email stating the flowers had been delivered. When we arrived home, there were no packages delivered. I called the number attached to the email, and explained that we had not received the flowers. The woman who answered asked me if I had ordered food. (Why is she asking me if I ordered food? I thought this was a flower shop.) Then she sends me a picture of a food delivery sitting on a porch. I told her that not only did I not order any food, that was not my porch. She got rather annoyed and said she would call me back. Never did. Thanks Gladrich for spoiling my wife's birthday. I was a first-time, long-distance customer, with most of my family residing in Port Charlotte. I placed an online order on the Friday before Mother's Day and then noticed the shop was listed as "closed." I later saw on the website that the shop is normally closed on Sundays, so I simply called to confirm two things: that my order had been received and that the arrangement would still be delivered on Mother's Day. Because I live over 1,000 miles away, I just wanted reassurance. I've had past experiences with orders not being fulfilled or somehow getting lost, so I thought it was a reasonable question. When someone answered the phone, I was immediately met with attitude and rudeness. She told me the shop was listed as closed because they were no longer taking orders. I explained that I had already placed one online and just wanted to confirm it would still be fulfilled. Her response was a loud and dismissive: "Ma'am, if you placed the order, then I got it." I was honestly shocked by the tone. I explained again that I lived far away and simply wanted confirmation that my order had been received and would be delivered. Instead of helping, she continued speaking rudely. I finally said, "If you're going to speak to me like this, you can cancel my order." At that point, the representative responded, "You know what, what's the order number?" I replied, "Are you serious right now?" and she said, "You gave it back to me." I'm assuming this may have been an owner if she was willing to cancel an order over a basic customer service interaction. In the end, my mom was innocent in all of this and deserved her flowers, so I didn't pursue canceling the order. The arrangement itself was pretty, but I will unfortunately never place another order at this shop or recommend it to anyone else. All this situation needed was a simple: "Let me double check that for you. What's your order number? Yes, we will be delivering on Sunday. Thank you so much for your business." I will admit that I briefly matched your rude tone after you began speaking to me in an extremely unprofessional manner, because I was genuinely shocked by how aggressively you responded to a simple question. I did understand what you were saying, but you never gave me the opportunity to explain myself before immediately barking at me about your business being closed. While you may understand how your business system works, as a customer, I do not. It was completely reasonable for me to confirm that my order had gone through, especially since your business was listed as closed for the following three days. Unfortunately, your terrible and disrespectful customer service continues even here. I ordered some white and yellow roses, for a deceased birthday celebration, yesterday. 2 ladies own this, and, the Canadian/ British owner took my information, but made an error in the CC number. The address for delivery.. I didn't give the zip code, but someone wrote the wrong one. A nasty woman woke me up this morning, rambling about problems! Not awake, I told her to stop talking, saying I'm not yet awake. She kept on, instead of offering to call back in 10?! I ended up hanging up. I got up, felt like I could comprehend better. Oh, and, she said to me, you need to change your tone? My thoughts: why don't you ask one consise question at a time. The woman accused me of making mistakes, giving my own information?! She talked, over me, arguing. She wasn't there yesterday to KNOW why the information recorded, by them, was wrong. Careful communicating with the 2nd owner. This year with Covid was such hard year. To not be able to be with my family for first times in years over Christmas was even more challenging. A tradition that I've done for years is to go out find an nice center piece for the dinner table. This year I had to order one as I'm stuck at home. My boyfriend ordered me flowers for my Birthday a couple of days before Valentine's Day. He asked them how much he would need to spend for a really nice bouquet and was told $150. He agreed and when we received the flowers we were very disappointed at what we got for that price. The arrangement looks like it was put together by an amateur and there were more greens than flowers. I spoke to Julie at Gladrich Florist Shoppe this morning. I wanted to send fresh cut lilacs to my mother for Mother's Day. I had called 6 other florists in the area and two didn't even know what I was asking for. I know these flowers are not native to Florida, but any reputable florist should at least recognize the name! Julie was so kind and helpful. Although she didn't have any lilac or expect to get any, she called the wholesaler and was able to secure enough for a generous arrangement. The next day they sent a brand new beautiful bouquet to her. They were apologetic and very nice about the whole thing. I knew I could trust Gladrich.
