golfed here while camping in the area. first off - this location is in EST. we were an hour late to…read moreour tee time, oops. also, the couse has a very limited numbered of power carts - something like 10-12. we were able to score a cart even though we were so late and they were able to get us on the course. a majority of the patrons were seniors who had their own custimized power carts that were stored on site. the garage housing these carts was pretty impressive. the course was in good shape - very few dead spots on the fairways. the tee boxes and greens were in great shape. the course itself presented a fair amount of challenges and wasnt a standard course where you pull out driver, short iron and you are on or near the green. the round with card was something like $40/person. be sure to map out this location as we had some issues with finding it on our GPS. give this course a try!

The waiter was very nice and ready to help us with anything we wanted. We got onion rings and fried mushrooms as an appetizer and they came out hot and freshly fried, they were very tasty. I got the Bacon Bleu Burger with cole slaw and fries which ended up being very good and cooked to the right temperature. I was a little nervous walking in because there as no one else eating there but the meal was delicious and the service was great as well. Go try it!! The restaurant is open from Wednesday to Friday from 4PM to 9PM.

It was busy when we walked in at 7 PM. They serve the full regular menu in addition to the fish, unlike other places that limit the menu on Friday. Order fish and it comes with salad bar, and that's where your normal fish fry sides are located: beans, coleslaw, bread. It was nice to be able to make our own regular salads though - I like coleslaw, but give me the choice and I'll make a salad bar salad. The fish (my wife had shrimp) was hand breaded and perfectly cooked. It was NOT a little piece of fish in a mass of deep fried breading. The breading was thin and tasty. Same for my wife's shrimp. My fries were a bit limp. When we go back I'll either get a baked potato (my wife got one, it was good) or onion rings. I saw the onion rings going by on other people's plates and they looked wonderful. The kitchen was ballin'! Food FLEW out of there. There was a good sized crowd, and several 8-10 tops, but no one waited and the big tables came out together. Service was friendly and efficient. When we settled up, the server brought a handheld terminal right to our table - just like modern times, what do you know.

One of the holes is quite narrow and a great view of the lake, which was beautiful. If you're in the area and looking for a place to golf, hit this place up. Great accommodation by the owner and staff. All were very pleasant and welcoming to our group we had for a bachelor party. Plenty of drinks available for purchase as well as clubs for rental/borrow if needed. Watch out for the seagulls and try to bring some bright colored golf balls to avoid confusion with the seagull feathers (I lost a couple golf balls because we couldn't find them). Overall: great experience here, definitely would go back again if I were given the opportunity.
