I was so excited to try this place after my mom and sister told me how much they liked it. I will say the establishment is clean, and welcoming. The people that work there are polite and friendly. Unfortunately for me I'd rather have someone that's rude that gets my nails done well than someone that's nice but I leave completely upset. I went in and asked for coffin nails. Granted I have natural nails and they aren't too long but I've asked this at multiple places before and nobody has ever struggled with it. She filed my nails so terrible that when it was done I just looked and thought to myself there's not even a way to fix this. read more

I am super disappointed in Glamour Gels. They claim that they have a "special polish" that lasts for four weeks no chips. It hasn't even been a full week and this is what the tips look like. Either their nail polish needs work, or my nail tech didn't properly paint the tips of my nails. Also, the top coat goes too far on some of the sides that it's lifting up. I would probably give them at least a three star, but for the crazy high prices, I expect better. Wish they would at least fix it, but I'm assuming it would be another $50+ read more

Amazing. Drea's gel nails never lift, even after 4 weeks! Cuticles are perfect and the polish covers the entire nail. That's why I drive 20 miles to have her do my nails. I've had others at this salon do my nails when Drea wasn't available, but they lifted. So it's only Drea for me! Beautiful salon and a fun collection of clothing and jewelry. One star because ZERO stars are not an option. 1. I showed up 5 minutes before my appointment and not greeted or asked to sit down at the only chair available next to the Essie nail polish display. 2. I'm super confused at what exactly this place of business is. Special formulated gel nail salon (the owner is a scientist!?!)? Kate Spade (fake?) retailer? Clinique Happy samples? Clothing store? Blow dry bar? I'm just so confused. Please, someone explain this to me. It's a one stop shop. 3. Ten minutes of browsing the shop I was told that my stylist would be out after she finished her lunch. "They thought they had a break." No apology. Nothing. 3a. I had a cut on my finger and I went to the toilet to wash my hands. The room smelled like someone with IBS had gone before me. The candle on the back of the toilet wasn't going to fix that -not even a priest could've fixed that. Anyway, I left the door open to prevent me from passing out while I washed my hands. No soap. Uh...if there was no soap for my cut finger what did IBS use? 4. Stylist, M, approached very friendly. Yay! Something positive right? The wash was good, products smelled fab. Neck massage was a bit too rough -my fault for not saying anything. 4a. This blow dry bar looks suspiciously similar to another blow dry bar I've been to in the valley but this one was way too messy so there's NO comparison there. The washing station felt a bit more like a bowling alley, very squished. I was offered a beverage of water or Coke products. A kid-size paper cup with a yellow straw with cold, ice less Coke arrived in my hand. I kid you not. I'm an adult people. I digress... 5. Conversation was pleasant until asked about previous employment. Then it was like a loose cannon. My stylist and the stylist next to me started talking smack about their previous salon where they came from (mine left first and took the other one with her to this place) and how they had been "harassed" by their previous employer. I felt a little uncomfortable and embarrassed for them honestly. For someone so positive to speak so ill of another local business was an experience I never want to experience again. Name calling. Slandering. Playing victim. Just terrible really. I'm a complete stranger to these girls and they just spilled the beans. 6. If you want nasty, untruthful gossip and a mediocre hair job this is your place. Pick up some special formulated gel nail polish while you're at it. read more

I would usually recommend this place, but unfortunately they've lost business from me since my favorite girls left. The girls look like they rolled out of bed and drive to work, the girl who did my blowout barely washed my hair meaning didn't scrub at all also burned my head with the blow dryer multiple times. Then the girl who did my toes cut way past my cuticles and had me switch seats with wet nails to accommodate a party of 5. Also overly priced. No thanks. read more

This place is adorable with a kind, fun, and knowledgable staff. I love going to see Kylee for lashes because I know that I will get quality treatment! She does such a great job on my eyelashes, and I never seem to have the irritation that I get when I go somewhere else. She's fun to talk to you, but also understanding when I want to just relax. I'd highly recommend her to anyone! The gel nails are excellent! My never Chip, in fact I often have to go get them taken off because they've grown out before they ever chip at all! After several successful eyebrow was treatments, I had a HORRIBLE experience last week. I ended up with BURNS on both brows, which turned into scabs and visible scarring. I specifically chose Glamour Geld because I believed it was a higher quality establishment, but when I reported to the manager my experience, she first blamed me, saying I must've been using a product that made my skin sensitive. (My regimen hasn't changed and I came in with no products on). Her solution was to offer my a tiny trial size tube of lotion to put on the affected areas and threw in some hotel size shampoo samples. I later called and left a message which she didn't return and then was placed on hold for 10 minutes when I called again. Very disappointing. I believe an offer to refund the cost of the poor service would be standard but instead NO RESPONSE. Can not recommend. read more

I first want to say this is the first poor review I have written. Here is my story. I have been to GG 2 times the first time was this winter and I went with my adult daughters right before Hawaii. I loved how clean GG was I was disappointed at my pedicure because I had never had one in that they do not push back cuticles clean up the skin around your toes, soak and scrub your feet first. The cute technician said it was their technique. AFTER they paint your nails they bring out a water bath and dish your feet and rub lotion on your feet. My feet were still rough but my nails looked great. Within 2 weeks my nails were lifting and one had fallen off and I was disappointed because usually a regular pedicure lasts me 4-6 weeks but I thought I was in the ocean for 2 weeks, and etc.... I went again and again the paint job is pretty but don't expect anything more than your feet getting rubbed with lotion after a water soak. Within 2 weeks and I was in bed with the flu nails lifting and this time the top coat no longer was shine it was just a satin like finish. I called, yes I called and the woman was extremely courteous took down my number I explained my two visits this time and she said neither times the nails should lift, crack, fall off.... She would have a certified tech call me.... NOTHING NO ONE HAS CALLED. It took a lot for me to call in the first place to let them know of my concern.I would not recommend this place to anyone. It has now been 4 weeks my big toe is chipped and 6 of the 10 nails have fallen off, one lifted and catfight caught on my sandal and it tore of the nail. My nails are a mess. I went to Glamour Gels Because my Good Friend told me how Their Gel last longer than shellac and won't lift up like my shellac Would while running my fingers through my hair... So I made an apt. Online , which I Loved, Loved The Salon and atmosphere...Loved my nails and Was Super impressed when 3 weeks went by and they still Looked Perfect!!! I Am In Love with Their Gel manicures and Pedicures! They last and last and last! Now they just opened their Blow Dry Bar and Boutique..I bought some Cute Quay Sunglasses ,some Jean shorts and a cute tank top for my Mexico Trip! I also bought some Amazing Hair products! Vivian and shawnee are my favorite! they both do such a great job! the gel stays on for forever seriously.. doesn't crack, peel, break or anything. My natural nails are long healthy and strong. I went to Glamour Nails in a big group. The experience was nice and they have a nice set up. BUT our nails weren't done very nicely. I already need to get another pedicure. The girls giving us pedicures finished in 15 mins tops and I was shocked it was that fast. I'll just continue to go to V-J nails in West Jordan. we called in the morning to make an appointment for later in the day. While on the phone the receptionist was nice but the confusion was so frustrating. She kept telling us she couldn't do what we needed ( we were all trying to get mani-pedi). We were told there was only time for two and they didn't have time for the third person (they said they would do just nails after one of the others was done). Once we got there it was so confusing. First of all we walked in and no one said anything to us! We stood there for a solid five minutes after someone finally said "do you have an appointment?" Which we did. The appointment got booked so wrong. (I was butthurt bc it was our friends birthday). So after someone else came and assisted the girls at the front to figure it out we were all seated. One got a mani-pedi, one just gel polish and they only had time to do polish on my nails. Don't get me wrong the place is super cute! I just wish that they service was better. Cute gal with mermaid tattoo really helped us out but everyone else kinda judged us and didn't want to help. They were just frustrated with us in general and we could all tell. So uncomfortable. While birthday girl was getting her toes done she made a comment on how horrible the last person did her toes too lol. I paid 20$ for my nails just to get painted. Literally just painted ( they advertise "massage and other bs that didn't happen, but anyways they chipped within a day too, reason why I wanted gel in the first place but oh well). I was in the area and ran in quickly for a manicure. Not sure if there was a misunderstanding or what happened, but I ended up with a manicure that included just a polish change. My polish looks good, but I needed a full manicure with cuticle trimming etc. I thought that was what I was getting for $40. I wish I could give 5 stars but I can't. The gel manicures here are outstanding. Best I have had in terms of staying power. And the selection of colors and styles is superb. Most of the nail technicians/artists are excellent. Things that need improving: 1) please add a hand massage with lotion to the standard gel manicure. It is ridiculous not to include that service as standard. 2) the pedicures are below average. Way below. Need better chairs. Need an actual massage. Need better pedicure in general. I had chips in a matter of 48 hrs. I would not go back for a pedicure at all. 3) management and policies. This is the real problem. I would go just for the gel manicures, but the reservation system is ridiculous. They required a full prepayment for my last appointment. This is not best practices or standard practices. They said it was to avoid cancellations. Well, guess what? That is why you take a cc number and then charge it if the customer violates the cancellation policy. When I asked management what the cancellation policy was they could not articulate it. I don't think they know? I will go back only if they stop requiring me to pay in advance. I would be happy to give my cc number and then have them charge if I violate their specified policy- also happy to pay for a completed service. Get your act together Glamour Gels. I am so disappointed with my experience at this salon. After several years of going to the same person, I had to switch when she moved to California. I thought I would try Glamour Gels and see if they could be a replacement. I called ahead of time and explained that I had gel nails and needed a fill. The receptionist was SO confused when I called. I finally had to ask for a manager so that I could make sure they understood what I had and they said they could accommodate. She told me to expect $25-35. When I arrived, they put me with a more experienced tech. I elected to have chrome polish on 2 of my nails, which was $2 more. I also got a couple gems on 2 nails, which also cost more. By the end of my appointment, they checked me out and my $25-35 went to $59!!! The nails were done and there was nothing else I could do at that point, but they reassured me that my nails are guaranteed for 3 weeks. I paid and left. The next day 2 of my 4 gems fell off. I called the salon and they don't cover add ons in their guarantee. They apologized that the tech did not tell me. In 2 more days another gem fell off. In a week, one of my nails broke while I was on vacation. Then 2 more broke....all within my 3 weeks. I called the salon and didn't get answer, so I emailed through their site with attached photos of all the problems. Melissa got back with me and apologized, saying that she was sorry about the gems not being covered (no reason for me to ever pay for something that no one stands behind) and that she will have another master tech fix replace with a full set complimentary. She mentioned 2 that could do it. I immediately emailed her back and asked when. No response. I emailed her the next day. No response. I called Friday (finally 3 weeks to the day from my last appointment) and had to leave a msg for her because she was "in a meeting". I called again today (Monday) and was told the very same thing. Be careful of this beautiful, high end feeling place. You will be paying for every little thing they do, and outside of the tags on the nail samples, you will be left to guess what it will cost you. But worse, their guarantee is not real. I feel like they never intended to make this right. After more than a week of getting them to fulfill on their promise, I still have not return communication, no appointment and 3 broken nails. read more
