However when I was 10 min late for my appointment on Fri, Sept 19, due to traffic congestion on Foothill Blvd, Lee rudely told me I had to wait due to my not calling her that I was delayed. I explained I was stuck in traffic and couldn't call. I waited for 20 minutes and then had my pedicure. They have in the past made me wait 20 minutes when they were running late, and I didn't push back. The staff there were incredibly nice, and very welcoming. However, the gel manicure I got was not well done and I could see streaks on all of my nails from where the top coat was not properly applied. Not to mention, it has already peeled off of one of my nails and it's only been three days. They are very rude. They will talk bad and cursing clients in front of client in their language and being very rude.

The owner of this salon is straight up rude. My family and I have been lifelong customers and I suppose she didn't recognize me when I came in on my own and yelled at me in front of the salon that if i say I'll be there in 15 minutes and take 30 she won't work with me. (I was late about 5-10 minutes but she didn't bother to kindly turn me away. Just shouted about it and coldly stared as i left the salon.) Aside from the treatment, their service is mediocre at best. Best nail salon in SLC. It isn't fancy but Lee, the owner, is the fastest and best manicurist I have been to in 30 years. She can do perfect fill and gel nails in 30 minutes or less. Been a customer for 20+ years. I've had several bad experiences the past couple years, but kept returning because it's in my neighborhood and they could always get me in. Well, there's a reason they can always get you in. The last straw was tonight when I went in with my 12-year-old daughter, who's also become a regular, for a fun mom-daughter night to get New Years nails. The owner, Lee, is known for being condescending and rude, but when she's belittling my young daughter, it's not ok. For the close proximity and convenience, I could deal with the subpar mani/pedis, which start to chip day one. But when Lee becomes super aggressive with my daughter, and repeatedly tries to make her feel stupid for simply asking about the acrylic nail style we clearly asked for, that's enough. I will NEVER return and don't recommend Best Nails to anyone. The quality has been poor for years, but now the convenience is no longer worth it, given Lee's shockingly rude treatment to innocent young girl looking for a fun manicure experience. Lee should be ashamed of herself treating a happy, appreciative, kind 12-year-old this way. And this wasn't the first time. But it is the last. read more

The massage was awesome and way longer than I'm used to out in LA! The ambiance isn't the greatest- odd furniture, bright lighting and dated decor. I felt very rushed in this nail studio. The workers rushed me in picking my color. I got a mani-pedi, and these were both done at the same time. I felt uncomfortable when crossing my hands over my body for them to paint my nails. They rushed my pedi and mani. The polish was all of my skin on some nails, and on other nails my nail wasn't even complete with polish. I will never be returning to this awful place. I just went there yesterday for a pedicure. The lady cut my nails so so short. My big toes are already hurting and I know I'll get ingrown toe nails from it. I didn't think much about it and she went to fast it didn't occur to me to tell her not to go so short. So I guess it's kinda my fault but I can't believe a professional would cut nails that short. I went in for a gel color change. The advertised price is $10. I asked for my nails to be filed short due to a poor previous manicure. After filing they also clipped the nails at weird angles. I should have spoken up more than I did. In the end at the cash register my technician said because I did not have a massage etc. it would be only $25. Again I should have spoken up, but I could not really understand her until the transaction was processed. The discussion would have been more painful than the $15 tip she gave herself. She was in such a rush that she cut my finger and made me bleed quite a bit and left random bumps in my acrylic nails. However, the staff was very pleasant and nice. Annie and Mai were great. I immediately found myself (as a walk in) soaking in a tub. I opted to have a mani/pedi done, and they did do both at the same time. A previous reviewer found that off putting, but I thought it was pretty impressive, almost like a four handed massage. In fact, it was super quick. The massages were amazing. Quite possibly the best hand massage I have ever had, and the leg massage felt amazing. Quick, efficient, not a lot of frills, but wow.
