I popped in here to get my nails done. They removed the gels and put on some new ones. You can up to get a manicure or not out. The door with a manicure is $30 if you just want to remove and put back on only 25. She did really great job. I'll be back for a pedicure very soon. The lady was really nice and really chatty and when she noticed, I was in a rush. She opted to not do the manicure. They've been there 22 years. Go now you'll be happy you did. read more

I've been getting my nails done for years, this is the one salon i feel completely comfortable and happy with my experience every time. I strictly have been getting my nails done here for the past year and a half and i do not plan on bringing my business elsewhere. I have no idea how half of the reviews on here are so negative. They were cold to start off, I wanted a relaxing morning away from kiddos but instead I was anxious the whole way through. BEWARE FOR SAFETY AND WELLBEING! I HAD TO CALL 9-1-1 ON THEM FOR THROWING MY SHOES AT ME AND PHYSICALLY HARMING ME MULTIPLE TIMES ON "ACCIDENT AS IT'S JUST PART OF THEIR PEDICURE PROCESS" AS THEY TOLD POLICE TO SAVE THEIR BUTTS FROM GOING TO JAIL FOR ASSULT. I told the lady doing my pedicure that she hurt me once trying to manually file off my shellac polish on my big toe of my right foot she said "oh". She proceeded to be rough. Then she kept telling me she wasn't going to do callus remover because she doesn't believe in it. Then she offered to use a callus razor on me for $5. I said yes please. She then said "I don't do callus remover I don't believe it just wear socks with lotion" Upon the removal again of my old shellac polish she asked "how do you think I should remove this"? I told her "you're the professional I cannot tell you now to do your job" she then started to argue with me like it was my decision as far as how she was to do it. I told her "Look I'm uncomfortable I'm about ready to walk out of this place right now if I'm hurt or asked how to do your job again" She then moved on to my left foot. She took the end of a sharp tool and shoved it under my big toe with an evil look on her face. I said "That's it I'm leaving" She then slid her cart with her supplies for the pedicure in it towards my legs that I had over the side of the chair getting ready to put my boots on and then she picked up my boots and threw them at me! I started recording video of it all from this point forward. She then started cussing me out calling me a B#$&@, C$#&, saying that I'm rich and better then everyone else. She was screaming at me to get the F$#@ out of her place etc......Then the male employee that was in there started screaming at me calling me a C#$& telling me to F#$& off and just going off on me. I ran out of there as fast as I could and called 9-1-1 I was having a panic attack on the phone with diabatch two officers arrived asap and were very professional and kind. They went in and spoke with the employees and made sure I was ajlqe to safely leave the scene before they even got into their patrol vehicles. PLEASE STEER CLEAR. WE ARE ALREADY CALLING AROUND FOR AN ATTORNEY. WE'VE LEFT A MESSAGE WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, BBB, CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. ALSO ONE OF THE EMPLOYEES WEARS A FACE SHEILD NOT A MASK AND THEY DON'T CLEAN UP AFTER A CUSTOMER LEAVES A STATION. I'LL BE REPORTING THEM TO THE CDC AND GOVERNORS OFFICE MONDAY. Thought I would tr glamour nails on Monroe again. Used to go there religiously every 2 week until I had a bad experience with old nail polish color. It was a really fabulous color that was going to match the dress I had to wear perfectly. But the nail color was bad because it was too old. It wasn't sticking well. It made them tacky and they didn't stay smooth for the wedding. I had chips smudging and peeling the next day. I went back to the shop and showed them the nails and they gave me a whole bunch of attitude about it. Well I tried it again today and I picked a wonderful little color here but it looks really clumpy. Almost looks like that stuff you buy for your little girl that is peel off polish. After three coats of color. It's still doesn't look even. And the ladies in the shop just wanted to give me a hard time and a bunch of attitude and yell at me. So I yelled back at her to not yell at me. She starts explaining herself to the other customer that's in the room. So I explained my self in the room. And I said I don't understand why you have a problem fixing something that is a bad color. She said that's fine. We see you in another 5 years and we do it again. Im somewhat new to the area and have been trying out different nail salons in Monroe. I went there four days ago to get a shellac mani/pedi. I called and made an appointment and when I got there, I waited 30 minutes before they put water in for my feet (they didn't even put the salts in, just water). The techs were very nice (but talkative), 3 hours later I finally finished with my mani/pedi. When I finished I noticed nail polish had been globbed on unevenly and was worried it would chip in no time. But I live in Gold Bar, and traffic was building, so I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. In two days half of the nails were chipped/peeling off. So today (four days later) I went in to ask them to repair the failing nails. (Un)Fortunately the owner was in! However he proceeded to provide the rudest experience of my life, when I explained the situation he said it's been over a week, when I explained it was only four days he said "well you work with your hands they won't last." I have gone here twice now and I am very pleased! Both times I went in I did not set up an appointment ahead of time. The first time there was a very short wait. The second time they were super busy and there was a 30 minute wait. Worth the wait for me! The first time they did a nice job and were very kind. I was happy with it and it lasted nicely for 2 1/2 weeks. There was a bit of chipping on one or two nails for another week after that. The second time Melissa (I hope that is the correct name) prepped and Micheal did the fill. They were both fun to talk with and happy to answer my weird questions. I am loving this set! You know how you can love your nails there, then they're just okay once you get home? These still make me smile. Michael was really helpful when I couldn't find the colour I had in mind with a shimmer. He found the closest and suggested a really pretty glitter combo for an accent nail. It looks was better than what I had chosen. Next time I plan to make an appointment and see when Michael would be available. read more

The nicest (and funniest) people work at this salon. They're fast and do a pretty good job. My nails haven't held up great with their shellac - they have a good selection but it might be time for a refresh as I've found the polish starts lifting pretty quick for shellac. The other downside is it's not the cleanest - they use the jars of cleaner for their tools, not the sterilized sealed packs, which is a no go for me. I hope they freshen up their products and sanitizing practices soon, I really want to love this place and think it's overall one of the better options in Monroe! read more

This is hands-down (pun intended) the worst salon I've ever experienced. If you value your health and safety, do not go to Glamour Nails in Monroe. There are so many things wrong with this "salon" I don't know where to begin.... 1) They do not use liners in their pedicure bowls. I might be able to get past this, but in watching the technician "clean" the bowl after use, it was two (2) squirts of some sort of "cleaner" in a bottle and a less than 3 second wipe-down. The person next to me had some black and yellow toes and what appeared to be nail fungus, yet a two squirt / three second wipe down was all that bowl saw before it's next pair of feet. 2) They refuse to use gloves. No liners and no gloves. The technicians hands went to town on the neighboring black and yellow toes and then the two squirts and moved right on to my feet. Why I didn't get up and leave is something I will never understand about myself and nobody's problem but mine. 3) The entire salon is absolutely filthy and for about 5 minutes completely wreaked of a dead rodent. I live on a farm and know this smell well. There was an exchange of Vietnamese shouting and a candle was lit to hide the smell. 4) While sitting there for toes and nails, I can't count the amount of vagrants I saw loitering around and strolling by the front door. 5) They have very limited colors - if you go, bring your own liner, your own gloves, your own tools AND your own polish. 6) Speaking of tools, they pull them out of a filthy container but claim they were "sterilized". Huh. 7) I've never had a worse manicure. Ever. And I've been going for over 30 years. Polish all over my fingers, "layover" on the cuticles so the gel immediately peeled and lifted after one shower. 8) The manicure station was disgusting with dirty nail clippings and nail dust everywhere. I was about to use the bathroom to wash my hands but after looking at it I decided to wait. I cannot stress enough how awful this experience was. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment at one of the busier nail salons in town. This place will make your skin crawl. Hopefully only temporarily. read more

If you want to get your nails done in Monroe Washington I can tell you where NOT to go. I walked into Glamor nails off Old Owen Road and saw An old friend from middle school!! I was super excited to accidentally run into my friend and needed to get my nails done. So we were talking for a few minutes when Christie,who I assume is the owner, finished her phone call and greeted me and asked what I wanted. Almost as soon as I finished telling her what I wanted she was back on the phone. I tried to ask her to please hang up because I've had multiple surgeries on my hands and Every time I have someone new do my nails I need to warn them about my finger nails because some of them aren't connected to my fingers completely, some of them aren't even connected at the edges and it's important that the technician listen so that they don't accidentally rip off my finger nails. Instead of hanging up she insisted that she could talk on the phone and listen to me simultaneously. I asked her again to please hang up the phone because I needed her attention and instead of hanging up she got offended and then apparently told her coworker in another language that I could wait for him and she more or less fired me as a client. He tried to tell me that she's a professional and could do my nails and talk on the phone at the same time and she's been doing this for 25 years.... IT ISN'T PROFESSIONAL TO HELP A CUSTOMER WITH ANYTHING WHILE YOU TALK ON THE PHONE and I'm sorry but you haven't been working on my nails for 25 years. I don't care what color you are or what language you speak, it's rude to talk on the phone when you are assisting a customer and it is rude to talk to your coworkers in another language about what you think of your customers and then just pass them off. I sat in the chair in complete disbelief as to what the hell just happened and I looked up at My friend and said "I think I just got fired," as she packed up her supplies she just got offended and then told her coworker that she would no longer help me. That last part is a guess because she said it in another language!! That's the first time that's ever been fired as a customer before! I honestly cannot I got up and went to the Blue Ocean nail and spa salon and spent over $100 and tipped my nail tech $50. Have a great night Christie. And on top of it all, the people working were such a joy to be around. I spent half my time relaxing in the message chairs and then laughing from our friendly and enjoyable conversation. I have gone to this place off and on for years. The service is almost always great. This time I went in to fix the crappy nails another salon did and told the owner (Christy sp?) that I had a friend going in for a mastectomy and wanted to be supportive, so I wanted pink tips and a pink ribbon on one finger. She went the extra mile, gave me the silver line (that I didn't ask for, but she used to do all the time) and made the pink ribbon a bling pink diamond ribbon. I picked a good day as it was slower and I was able to have her take her time, and I was not cut even once like the other salon did. My fingers look amazing and I Have gotten tons of compliments. I did only give it 4 stars since when I first started going here, they gave you the full pamper treatment, lotion, hot towel, massage, and it's extra now. read more

I was not charged for the nail shortening. I ran into a friend there and made another. My friend has been going here since it opened and she has impeccable taste! So anyway back to my review. My nails turned out beautiful and they did the fill all the way to cuticle it was so thin that when it grew out you could not see a ridge from the acrylic! I have found my go to nail spa! I was in Monroe and had a couple hours to kill so decided to come here for a much needed full set. The nails are just like the 2 star rating, "Meh. I've experienced better." Pros first: - The workers there are really nice. - They have a lot of colorful shades. - No wait time. (Of course, this is Monroe... in the middle of nowhere) CONS!: - He cut the nails way too short - - My thumbs are uneven - They did not have any nude shades!! I do not want blue & green nails. I get it Seahawks... but they have every shade of orange, green, and blue but no nude shades because he said, "customers don't like it." - When he cut my nails and also when he shaped them, he never asked if I liked them or if they were ok. He just did what he thought was right. - A full set was $26. Heck, my full set in Seattle is less than this. & he had to run my card twice so I could tip him! (I just shouldn't have tipped -___-) - He was so slow at doing my nails. It took him over an hour and a half! I just got a full set & 1 color. No design or anything! This is probably due to him texting and talking on the phone while doing my nails. Needless to say, I will not be going back. This is my first time here because like I said I had some time to kill. Worst place to get nails done. Please save your time and money and find a better place!!! I took my daughter get her gel nails done here and they ended falling off five days later. I decided to take her back and get them fixed. The owner was really upset that I asked to get them fixed or to return my money. She yelled at me in front of many other customers including my daughter and other children as well as her own little girl. Her husband was upset when I approached my daughter as she was getting her nails done. He said it was his policy that I could not watch how she got her nails fixed. His wife then decided to scream at me and from what I could understand she was really upset at the fact that I had returned to get my daughters nails fixed. She said that gel nails only last one week and that they are not responsible for nails after one week. She yelled at me and said she was doing this job for 25 years and that she knew what she was doing. She said that they don't give refunds back and that next time I could not get the nails fixed. She can rest assure I'm not getting nowhere near that place ever again!! The place is extremely dirty from top to bottom. Dirty floors, walls, tables, etc. Trash everywhere.
