Not sure how other Yelpers give 5 stars. I found this place through a work reference, expecting a great experience. Walking in, everything seemed all neat and tidy, maybe a little too tidy. The guy behind the counter spent a lot of time with a customer, rehashing plans and details for what seemed like a straight-forward simple order. He kept clicking on his computer screen, drop-down after drop-down, until finally I was actually mesmerized by how many clicks he was doing (seriously it was weird, but I thought hey, they must be very thorough). So I get done with my order, telling them that the engraving must be done this week, as I had to present it to someone over the weekend. I was told it would be done by 3:30 Thursday (written on the invoice) and that I'd get a call or email. Thursday comes and goes, nothing. Friday comes and not a hoot, so I call them. They say they don't have the work done. They said they didn't hear from me. WHAT? I didn't respond to their email about a "proof". What email?! I checked by email 3 times, including Spam/Junk and other folders. Nothing. They didn't even try to call. Long story short, I went in and they still wouldn't admit that they dropped the ball on this one. I won't be back. P.S. While I was there to pick up my cup, another customer was having an argument with another employee about how his item was lost. Maybe G-B used to be good, but it seems not all is well in trophy town. read more

Amazing work! Called many stores in the area and no one had the turn-around time these guys had! Very reasonable prices. I brought in 10 square rocks glasses that needed 3 sides blasted. Their glass worker had it ready early. I requested 2 days out and they had it done the day prior. The front desk man, Matt, was very helpful! Highly recommend for all engraving requirements! Would definitely use these guys again, very happy with the whole process. Had 6 glass trophies made here for a festival. Service was fast and excellent (thanks Skip!) and their final product was perfect. Glaser was able to use our EPS and Photoshop files to exactly duplicate what we wanted, and their in-house designer was very accommodating and attentive to detail. The engraver uses sandblasting or something, so the edges are super crisp, no crunchy "router" lines like we've had on previous trophies. Prices are comparable to other places I've used and they appear to have a huge selection. (I saw some bronzed stuff in there too). If you need a trophy, this is the place. read more

I wanted to take the time to say a HUGE THANK YOU to the Staff at Glaser-Bailey Awards, Inc. I had waited until the last minute(day before) to get Trophies for a Golf Tournament. I had originally called Rex Trophies located in Poway but they informed me that they were at least a week behind and didnt have any Trophies in-stock. I Googled a Trophy Shop in Escondido and Glaser-Bailey Awards, Inc. Came up so I called them. The guy I spoke with (I don't remember his name) was SO Helpful. He 100% knew what I was looking for and HAD the exact Trophies in-stock. He helped me with wording the engraving and the Price was VERY Inexpensive. From the time I called to place the order to the time it took them to complete it was 1 HOUR...YES! One Hour from the time I called to Glaser-Bailey Awards, Inc. Calling me back saying my order was ready for pickup. The Trophies I ordered over the phone (I didn't see the Trophies in person before the order was placed and trusted the knowledge of the employee) I was Amazed how Perfect the Trophies turned out. I first found this place in 2008 with a unique request. I received an award and the fool in charge of it misspelled my name. He promised to fix it but after four months I knew he wouldn't. I brought it to Skip to ask if a second "t" could be squeezed in between the letters. Skip was professional, very engaging, and most of all confident he could fix it. To this day it proudly sits on my mantle without a hint of the misspelling. I told Skip he had my business from then on. Well, it was a short six years later when I needed his services again. My 13 year old son began trap shooting. I inherited an old 12 gauge shotgun from my wife's family. It is sentimental because it belonged to my wife's father who passed away when she was five. It sat in my gun safe for years and in a cabinet prior to that. I had an experienced friend clean it up to almost mint condition and brought the stock to Skip. Not only did he recommend the perfect font and placement for my son's name but after hearing the history of the gun suggested the type of font to use for my wife's father's initials. Skip's insight provided an engraving that appeared as if her father placed in on the stock himself 40 years ago. We presented the gun on Christmas and there was not a dry eye. GB engraved Military Kids dog tags (3) for me for my husband's retirement ceremony. The engravement was just an average job....didn't look spectacular...the type-set ended up looking small on the actual surface. They stated they realized it right away but ran with it anyway with the next two dog tags. I really wished they had consulted me before engraving the next two dog tags. That aside, the order was placed six days in advanced (on July 13) and promised by 3:00 PM on the 19th of July. When I arrived at exactly three, Matthew stated he was currently working on them and needed twenty more minutes. I explained that I needed to get out the door ASAP because the retirement rehearsal (which had been moved up from the next morning) was at 4 down at the base, and he said he just need a few minutes. The engraving was just Names and Dates on three dog-tags. I waited one more hour (which to me, meant they were most likely not engraved at all when I walked in initially) at which point I was getting anxious. I was handed the dog tags at exactly the time of the rehearsal which was when we needed them. Bottom line, was we had them for the ceremony, so it wasn't a total loss. But, the fact that they were not ready at the time I requested and the fact that I was then made to wait while he conversed with other clients coming in and out was frankly, astounding. It is too bad it went down this way...I would think twice about using them next time or lie about the dates needed. read more
