Called them this morning, Tuesday, having forgotten I needed trophies for a basketball tournament this weekend. They were able to get the 20 trophies I needed by the end of TODAY!!! Worked with me to design the trophy. Communicated with me to make sure it worked. Went above and beyond. Can't say enough about Mike, the rep that I worked with. Amazing customer service. San Marcos Trophy did it right with a quick turn around. They were able to produce the metal engraved plaque for a going-away gift for one of my Marines in a turn around of less than 24 hours. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The price was fair and the product I got was exactly what I was looking for. I am writing this review on behalf of my mother in law who recently had some champagne glasses engraved here as a gift for my brother-in-law's (her son) upcoming wedding. The owner was very quick to get back to me when I called to get a quote for her and they only charged her $15 for both glasses which we both felt was very reasonable. It needs some love! I feel like this mom and pop shop are just going through the motions. And I came because I love supporting good ole' local shops, but this one has seen better days. Displays are layered with dust, tables and trophies are dated, the back looks like a over piled day care for dogs and kids. Looking past that and being supportive I placed my order, they day to pick up came, and it wasn't ready. A good old fashioned phone call to let me know would have been fine! But non was made so I waited over 15 minutes for them to whip it up! Not sure why if it only takes minutes in a weeks time it couldn't get made. So not sure if I'd go back!!! As a band booster parent for 10 years, I had the pleasure of working with San Marcos Trophy for quite a few years. Sometimes the band director would wait till the last minute to give me the final list for awards. This made it difficult, but SM Trophy did everything they could to get everything done on time. Once, due to my last minute changes, I got to help connect the medals to the ribbons in the back room! Great work always! read more

I just moved to this area and was looking for a new shop for engraving and assumed San Marcos Trophy (because of the name) would be an obvious choice for quality and good customer service. I was wrong. I had a terrible experience with this place (lady) to put it mildly!! I just wanted the logo (basically a letter) in the center of a circle and it didn't come out right and she was unwilling to find a solution. She was very impatient and became easily upset and basically told me to go find another place. The more I tried to reason with her the worse it got. I left literally shaking. I am sorry I ever found this place. read more

We have been ordering from this trophy shop for over 10 years. We have never had a problem. They do nice quality work and have excellent prices. We have ordered trophies repeatedly for pinewood derbies as well as plaques for various electrical jobs that need panels or parts labeled. One occasion we brought in some glass jars to etch labels on & they were beautiful when finished. They have a great variety to choose from whether it is trophies, signs, or memorabilia and ribbons. They can do engraving like the store "Things Remembered", but for a fraction of the cost. The staff is very friendly and easy to work with. We highly recommend them. read more

Gepetto's in Carlsbad is a small store stocked with top-quality toys, and in my experience staffed with people who are always eager to help and often able to help. The place is insane during the week before Christmas, but the staff somehow copes. I try not to go there at Christmastime. Shopping with a child for toys in a store whose inventory is not advertised on television is much simpler and more satisfying than taking the same kid to Target. Trust me, I've done both. Since in general the toys at Gepetto's are unknown to the child, there is far less of the "gimme gimme" that happens at Target. And whether a toy is still interesting and unbroken the next day is unrelated to its advertising. A 5-year-old in my family was astonished that there were no Minecraft toys at Gepetto's, and asked if we could go to the nearby bookstore because it would for sure have Minecraft toys. I find Gepetto's selection of child-compatible art supplies to be superior to what's in stores like Michael's, but they cost more. I don't mind.

A family business is a hard thing to find lately, but for the last 25 years these folks have made it happen. Owned and operated by some of the nicest most well mannered people you can run across. I have never had an issue with these guys ever, and will advise anyone who's looking for engraving/trophy work to come check these guys out. As a football/wrestling coach I am asked by other coaches who they know or where to go to get trophies done. I always recommend San Marcos Trophy. read more

Despite multiple attempts to get updates, communication has been poor and responses have been limited or nonexistent. Our organization has used this business for years, which makes this situation even more frustrating. After more than six weeks, we still do not have our merchandise back, leaving our high school dance team without the items they need for camp. Delays can happen, but a lack of communication and failure to return customer property is unacceptable. We expected much better service and professionalism. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this business

I've brought in items that just wouldn't have worked well for embroidery due to fabric and he makes sure to find a perfect alternative to get my design on them! From hats to scarves and towels to shirts, they have all come out amazing! I find myself looking for things I might need a design on just because he does such great work. I only needed 6 shirts in various sizes. SoPhresh was not only the lower price option with no minimums but they also had the best customer service and were the fastest to communicate. I picked a Bella canvas slouchy scoop neck shirt, sent the art all last minute and So Phresh has said they can get the shirts and print them in less then 5 days. Creative pieces using combinations of bases, crystals, and colored engraving, and also colored etching on wine bottles (using slower processes so as not to over heat the bottle and potentially affect the wine always impress.
