I never had a Yelp account but have come here to warn people. I wish I was warned Dr Robert is way past his prime if he ever had one. He left my nose crooked/ asymmetrical with a ton of scar tissue, dips and dents which he called "shadows". My nose collapsed and he refused to own up to his error. Instead, he repeatedly said "nothing is perfectly symmetrical". I have 2 different nostrils and the tip is completely different on each side, in other words, it's not "slight". He is extremely arrogant. When selling me the surgery he was so nice, but as soon as I had an issue with his work... it became problematic. I wish I knew this before. Spare yourself. I have been a patient at Glassgold group for years... such a loss I will never ever go back again. Their receptionist Susan is rude , nasty and inconsiderate.. It has been a problem in the past but recently the interaction is unacceptable... Here's the problem. This practice has a not so good history. The current doctor's father founded the practice and injected silicone in hundreds of patients. This was going on while the current doctors were working there up until alvin glasgold retired. The areas that have been reported so far have been : The nose, nasal labial folds and lips. Many of these patients are now having very bad issues with the injections which are permanent. Silicone tends to migrate and deform the face over time. The doctors, Mark and Robert, are hyper aware of this and choose to solve this issue in a very sneaky way. They will tell you your records are lost and they can't help you. They have gone as far as banning people from their office, telling the front desk to get rid of the patients. They have no drive to help or even acknowledge these issues people are experiencing, even though the problems originated there at the glasgold group. They in fact lie, because they know most modern surgeons would consider the practice of injecting silicone a black eye. Their image to the rest of the medical community is important to them to such a degree, that they Gaslight and lie to these already traumatized individuals and turn them away. It's shameful. We are now forming a private group of people who have been affected in this way, and if you or someone you care about is one of them, feel free to private message me. The key is communication, and to not be silenced. You are not alone. If you have been injected I urge you to call the practice, seek help and if any of the above mentioned things occur, contact me. To all new patients who are considering them, think about this. If they can lie to this extent and not care about people to this degree, how does this affect their humanism in all other areas of the practice? If you're looking for the right doctor to perform your rhinoplasty look no further than Dr. Robert Glasgold. I was looking for a surgeon for a revision rhinoplasty 14 years after my first surgery. I also had a deviated septum that the first surgery fixed but had deviated again. I did a ton of research and met with 3 different surgeons within the NYC / NJ region. Each surgeon had a completely different approach - one suggested a closed rhinoplasty, one suggested an open rhinoplasty including breaking my nose bone again, the other suggested open rhinoplasty without breaking my nose bone. I wasn't sure which was the correct route to take. However, immediately after my initial consultation with Dr. Glasgold I had no doubt - he was the perfect surgeon for this revision. He took his time to answer all of my initial questions and helped to address the fear and reservation I had about going through another surgery. During my pre-op visit it only further confirmed that this surgeon and his entire staff are the only way to go for this type of surgery. He spent well over an hour with me going through every one of my questions and walking through the steps that he would take during surgery. He helped to calm some of my fears. On the morning of the surgery, I was a complete mess in the hospital waiting room filled with anxiety and fear. Dr. Glasgold immediately helped to calm me down and reassure me of the surgery's success. His bedside manner is greatly appreciated! I am now over 7 months post op and am happy to say that the surgery went exactly as planned and I am absolutely thrilled with the results! The surgery included revision rhinoplasty including MTF cartiladge grafts & septoplasty. I figured the surgery would reshape the tip of my nose and straighten out my septum a bit but I had not anticipated how perfect he would make my nose look. For the first time in my life I actually have a straight nose! The shape is great and absolutely fits my face. It does not look like a fake cookie cutter nose at all - it's very natural looking. My friends and family are still telling me how amazing it looks. With every post op visit Dr. Glasgold has continued to take his time to address all of my questions and concerns during recovery. I couldn't be happier with the entire process. If you are looking for a surgeon for your rhinoplasty, especially a revision rhinoplasty, look no further than Dr. Glasgold. I had my eyelids done and my neck. I had it done last August and I had a touch up done in April. I consider Dr. Glasgold to be a very good for a doctor. He told me he was not happy with the way my eyes looked so he wanted to re-do them. I work in a hair salon and one of the clients came in and I said "Oh my God! You look so good!" and she told me what she had done. She recommended Dr. Glasgold. He was very nice. He showed me pictures and explained what he was going to do. He was very informing. I liked him right from the beginning. I felt safe. The décor is nice. It is nice and clean. The receptionists were nice. Once you get in the office, they take you right away. You have to wait a little while once you are sitting in the room but other than that it is fine. The staff is very nice and very informing. Dr. Glasgold was nice and once he really gets to know you he acts more as your friend but he is very professional. After a while I knew I could fool around with him, make some jokes. He was not like real stiff and just businesslike. He was very understanding and would answer any question I asked him. My recovery went much better than I thought. I did not even get black and blue. I thought I would be all black and blue. The next day when I had to go there he was amazed. The girls took the stitches out. I was very pleased with it. In fact I could have gone to work in a few days but I had taken the week off. When I did go back to work, of course my staff where I work knew what I was doing, but none of my clients could tell I had anything done. I was not black and blue or anything. I stayed in the house just for two days. After that I was fine to go out. I really did not look that bad. Nobody was staring at me. I did not have a lot of pain. The first day I could say I had some discomfort but I could tolerate it. Other than that I really did not have anything to complain about. I'm happy with the results! I don't like Joan Rivers, that's all I could say to him. "Don't make me look like Joan Rivers!" Really I look the same. I guess you could say I look refreshed, like I had a good night's sleep. I am not different looking at all which is exactly what I wanted. I find myself referring Dr. Glasgold all the time, especially at work. Like some of the clients say "You look so good!" I'm not afraid to tell anybody. I give his card out. I would like to add that he explains everything very carefully and he makes sure you ask questions. I really do not think they could do anything better. I felt comfortable from the first time I was there. He makes you feel very comfortable. I made up my mind the first day. My sister had an appointment that day too and she still did not go. Some people are just afraid no matter what you tell them but I wasn't and that was the first surgery I ever had. The only time I had anything done was when I had babies. I just did it and I was very pleased. read more
