After playing around with the idea of getting laser hair removal I finally pulled the trigger with Laser Remedy MedSpa. With many options to choose from in the area, I settled on this one because of their glowing reviews by customer. I definitely rely on reviews so seeing their praises definitely made me feel like I was in good hands. The owner was super responsive to all my questions and convinced me to do a Brazilian instead of just a bikini line (which is what I originally wanted). First, I'd like to start with the staff who greet you. They are very nice and welcoming and knowledgeable about how Laser feels and what options work best for what you're looking for. Secondly, I've gotten my armpits and a Brazilian done and I honestly have never felt so comfortable doing both. I'm not a big fan of discomfort but there is some celebratory wine there for you to calm your nerves down. If you're not a wimp like me you won't even need it. Very happy with this place so far. They have done juvederm in my lips and botox in my forehead and upper lip (lip flip) and I am about to request my third appointment. They make you feel really comfortable and will gladly take the time on the phone and in person to discuss a plan and share insights with you. I had never received injectables before so this made a huge difference when introducing me. When I got my juvederm I was not happy with the shape - not because they did a bad job, but it was more of a personal preference. There was also one spot that needed fixed because you could tell if you looed closely where the filler ended. They were immediately responsive and tried to get me in to touch up where I wanted, but I was leaving for a trip. This is where my only complaint comes up. The doctor that does injectables is typically only in on Wednesdays. This presents scheduling challenges, particularly for those who travel on business mid-week. I can tell you all that I have had by far the best results and best experience here at Laser Remedy. I went on Groupon and bought three packages at three different businesses. I got 6 underarm sessions at Sartori and 6 leg sessions at Professional Aesthetics and Wellness and 6 bikini sessions here at Laser Remedy. In fact, I'm so pleased that I just bought an additional small package for underarms to finish off the job Sartori didn't do well. The staff here is kind, and no-nonsense, and fast. I rarely ever wait and am in and out so quickly. I could not be more pleased with the results on my bikini area. And the second time I went in for an appointment, the owner was training a new woman, and I heard her discuss at length how the safety of a customer was more important than anything else, and she'd rather send someone away than damage their skin or give them unrealistic expectations about treatments. That's when I knew I'd found a winner. Today, when I told her how impressed I was by her business and my results she was so moved that she got a little teary-eyed. Now that I am starting my 5th package, I had to update my review! I've been going to Bareskin for A WHILE now - upper lip, underarm, Brazilian, stomach and now full legs, the results are amazing! After 4 treatments, I barely grow hair on my underarms, no more hair on my upper lip, my stomach is beautiful and the Brazilian is fabulous. I'll be honest - it's not fun and I am definitely pressing on the pressure balls they supply while getting the Brazilian done - BUT it's so worth it. They are very professional, knowledgeable and their recommendations are on point - after my 2nd brazilian treatment I was told that it will be better if I wait 8 weeks. I wanted to be bare and FAST! SHORT STORY. I absolutely love this place - the people who work there, how modern, beautiful and clean it is, and I especially love the results, 99% of my hair is gone. I felt very self conscious, like I am a hairy man. Now I feel very pretty and so happy and confident. This place changed my life. It's worth every penny. I highly recommend it! LONG STORY. I hated summer, I couldn't wear shorts or swim suits, I hated being intimate, because I have a lot of black and thick hair, it's everywhere - legs, bikini, stomach, nipples, feet, arms, face... you name it... I had a lot of ingrown hairs too. I had to shave every single day. I even had to shave my face, ugh :-( After I shaved, the skin on my legs/bikini will turn red or bleed and will be incredibly scratchy. Total nightmare! I pretty much hated myself and how I look and was wearing lots of pants and long sleeve shirts and avoided going to the beach or if I did I would wear long swim trunks down to my knees. One day, I said I can't live like this anymore. I found a laser clinic that is associated with a famous hospital. So I thought this would be the best quality, perfect and most effective place to go to. I spent close $2,000 for my legs/bikini but it made pretty much no difference. So disappointing and a total waste of my precious savings! Luckily their equipment broke and they closed for 8 months. So, I found this salon Laser Remedy instead. Laser Remedy had good reviews, but I was hesitant given my past experience. I did sign up for one area to test this place out. After going only a couple of times I saw that the amount of hair dropped dramatically and I purchased several more areas. I've been going for 3 years now. I ended up doing entire legs, brazilian, arms, underarms, most of my face and plan to do the rest of my problem areas. 99% of my hair is gone. It is smooth like baby skin. It's amazing. I have been coming here for over a year now. I started with my upper lip, then went to armpits, legs and Brazilian. The reduction in hair is amazing. I went from having to shave daily to just touchups every couple of weeks. The hair left is mainly just blonde hair that I don't even notice it until I'm out in the sun. I've had laser hair removal done before, so I wanted to wait for several sessions to have passed before I would write my review to be able to give a good account of my experience. I've had 5 treatments to my underarms, and am thrilled with my realistic results. Laser hair removal typically doesn't get everything. With a Groupon for 6 treatments, I knew what my best & worse case scenarios were going to look like. I doubt I'd get better results elsewhere! Growth is greatly slowed, since so many hair follicles have given up the ghost - and the remaining follicles generate delicate hair by comparison to how I started. Shaving so much less equals less irritated skin, which was my biggest issue with the area to begin with, so I'm excited to see what my 6th and final treatment will bring. The space is well-maintained and clean, with complimentary water or wine available in the lobby. I've had the same tech 4/5 times, who makes sure I can see her clean items in the services room, and listens to my feedback before she changes the settings and proceeds with the treatment. The wait time ranges from none at all, to about 15 minutes, which is great for me with my lunchtime appointments! Make sure you don't forget to shave before your appointment as there is a $25 fee for the supplies (which feels a bit high, but I guess for larger areas it's a bigger deal?) and that you reschedule if you get prescribed antibiotics - don't go in til 30 days have passed after your last dose. I came in and almost said, 'no' when asked at the front desk before I did a double take. They were nice about rescheduling me, and I didn't get charged for a missed appointment, which was much appreciated! Definitely can easily recommend them for services - though I wish they'd update their website with current pricing & packaging. I'm not 100% certain if they have any guarantees for packages (the best will typically include X number of treatments, but up to 3 additional if your results aren't where they need to be yet due to your hair type, etc.) but I've heard them explain everything nicely in person to someone finishing their Groupon services and it was nice that they weren't pressuring her into anything. read more

Not only is it a great deal in itself, the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and caring and nurit the owner really cares about her customers. I love this place! Update: feb. 12th I've done laser hair removal here for many different areas and I am so excited to say that I've seen dramatic improvements! My hair was so dark and thick and it would grow in a matter of hours. But now, I have to shave once every two days... It doesn't sound impressive, but for me, it has been life changing. I feel so much better about myself, feminine and free and I'm a little bit over halfway through the treatment. I am so hopeful that I will be completely hairless by my last treatment. Just a heads up, but from my personal experience, bony areas hurt like hell. No joke, the lower legs, especially near the ankle, hurt like a motha f*cker!! And the face. Oh, mommy! Bought a groupon for a "small area" for a great deal. In my first visit it was explained to me that the coverage area was my chin and neck, awesome because that's exactly what I wanted. Did 3 great sessions and loved the technician, polite, and efficient. Arrived for my fourth appointment (of 6 treatments) and was tacked back by a new tech, who was also friendly. When she did the treatment she only covered a small portion of the area done by the usual tech, and when informed her, she told me I would have to upgrade to an extended area, and to take it up with the owner. It just so happened that the owner was at the front desk so when I explained the situation she told me that the previous tech ea doing too large and area, and that she had been fired. And if I wanted the other spot to be done I would have to upgrade. Rediculous! It is the companies job to train their staff on explaining the coverage area, and since THEY failed to do that, they should honor the previous persons definition of the area. So much for customer service. When I refused the upgrade she told me that there wouldn't be any other place who's lazer would work as well as theirs. If you have a groupon beware, I think it's only good for what they deem it to be good for that day. You may end up with half a treatment. read more

Came in for Botox with Dr. Francis today. Upon entry I was greeted by two welcoming receptionists. They took care of me right away and I was quickly escorted back by Nina who by the way is amazing! She made me feel super comfortable and assured me everything was going to be ok since I was nervous about it being my first time. She joked with me and calmed my nerves immediately. What a pleasant experience!!! The front desk is friendly and made me feel very at home. I walked in with all sorts of questions and feeling horribly awkward about discussing body hair, and they answered everything so clearly! The women are all extremely professional and calmed my nerves 100% (which was ESSENTIAL when getting a laser Brazilian for the first time) the treatments are basically painless so far and very quick and I am already seeing noticeable decrease in hair growth after 2-3 sessions. Bare Skin Laser MedSpa is my second experience with laser hair removal. I needed to find a place in Philly when I moved last year and was lucky to find this one! The atmosphere is calming and welcoming. There is even wine and water available in the lobby. You also can't go wrong with a magazine rack stocked with the newest celeb mags. Above all, the place is SPOTLESS. The staff is always friendly, welcoming and professional. My technician, Martha, is absolutely superb! The owner is often on-site during my appointments and there is something comforting in an owner who is visible and involved in the activities of her business. She is also very friendly and will wax a perfect eyebrow if you're looking for that service as well. I go there for full-body laser hair removal and split it into two separate sessions (upper and lower body). While I can't say the process is pain-free, I can say I've enjoyed impressive results. Admittedly, I am a perfect candidate for laser hair removal with my super pale skin and very dark hair. However, they do have lasers for all skin/hair types here. The location may not be ideal especially with recent construction, but I've always found it to be worth the trip. There is street parking but I've never had a problem finding a spot right out front. Finally, laser hair removal is a pricey endeavor but I've found the prices here to be competitive. read more
