I just moved here in Bear, DE from Los Angeles, CA. This is the 2nd park I found nearby and I really love this place. Perfect for walking. The entire loop will give you 3 miles. You can stay on the walking trail and/or you can also take the trail in the wood. Plenty of things to do. They have kids playground, tennis courts, basket ball courts, picket ball court, dog parks, Frazer house (by the red barn) where they offer Zumba, Line dance or any fitness. A gem of a park around the corner from our home! My family had so much fun here! My two year old had fun on ALL of the playgrounds. Especially the more toddler friendly ones. They truly built these with children in mind. Parents everywhere looked like they were enjoying themselves with their kids. It was very spacious. The Spectrum Park was very cool! All kids can enjoy that section and the equipment was super cool. I believe you can rent the pavilions for parties, and there are picnic tables as well. There's a skate park, a beautiful pond, and a large trail you can walk/run too. We will absolutely be back to spend another beautiful day here :) read more

Cleaned regularly, a great main trail (2.6 mi). For a public park, it is well maintained. There are quite a few pavilions which can be rented, they come along with a bathroom from the county. Tennis courts, basketball courts, a skate park and a dog park. On Fridays, spring and summer, they have a farmers market late afternoon- early evening. It gets a little crowded on the hotter days and parking gets horrendous. Every once in a while, you can find the ice cream man posted with treats near the main playground. There is also a gated play area for those on the spectrum. As well as mini fitness obstacles along the 896 side. read more

Lots of space; great renovation on the park to include so many play sets for kids, the variety of the park is great for young to old, walkers to bikers. The air is fresh and invigorating. Driving through Delaware on a spring break roadtrip and needed a place for the kids to get their crazy out. This was an awesome choice. There's a large walking/running/biking trail, a massive playground structure and dog park. They even have a specially designed play area for those on the spectrum or possible sensory issues. Only knocking 1 star off because a large portion of the play area was pretty outdated. It was also covered in mulch and there were no restrooms, just port-o-potty's (ewwwww). read more

Glasgow park now has Pickleball courts! The park has a nice walking path that includes mile markers and a option for a pretty steep hill if you choose. A great play ground for kids and an park for kids with special needs. There are so many other activities there to choose from. read more

I have always enjoyed farmer's markets. They are a lot more fun than grocery stores. I learned about this super little one while running at the Glasgow Park. Yes, it is very small, only 12-13vendors. But it is nonetheless a very pleasant place to shop. There is live music and BBQ, which make it more like a party than a market! The business owners proudly sell things they grow and are very nice to talk to. I left today with a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits, including a huge watermelon and a squash that looks like an UFO. read more

A nice park to enjoy the good weather or for a good workout. Paved walkway and some groomed paths for you walk ,run or mountain bike. Trails also continue along side the Railroad track for a leisurely offroad ride. The skate park, huge playground and basketball and tennis courts to burn off some extra energy and a couple of pounds. If I could give this park ten stars I would. This park has a little bit for everyone. There is a 2.7 mile paved course that circles around the park for those who want to run, jog, or walk around the course. For those into skate boarding, there is a skateboard area within the park. The skateboard park is one of the best I've seen to date. There are various playground areas for toddlers and bigger kids to play. The toddler area is nice and even includes a sandbox. The park has a few pavilions that include electricity and grills for people who rent it for cookouts. There is a large wooded area for people who want to hike or ride mountain bikes through the woods. For dog lovers (like me) there is a fenced in bark park. The bark park has two areas. One area is for small breed dogs and another, slightly bigger area for large breed dogs. A park would not be a park without open spaces and this park has a few large open spaces. There are tennis and basketball courts. In addition, there is a tall, man made hill that is great to walk or run up and it serves as an excellent sledding hill when there is enough snow accumulation in the winter. As one can see Glasgow Park is a combination of several parks contained within one park. This park has it all! read more

We stopped here because it was halfway between NJ and D.C. and my kids needed to play and run around. There's so many different playground options to choose from, a sandbox, climbing equipment and a farmers market on Fridays from 3-7. It's less than ten minutes off course of I-95 and a great pit stop for kids. read more

The only reason that I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because sometimes it can be so super crowded (because it's a great park.) This is probably one of my favorite parks to take my 1.5 year old son to. Even though we are from NJ, I don't mind driving the 30 miles or so to get here. Like others have said, this park really does have something for everyone. There is a dog park, and several playgrounds for kids of different ages to enjoy. They even have a skate park for teenagers. I really like how they have shaded picnic tables to sit while your kids play (if they aren't taken that is) We love to take walks around the large hill. If you are lucky, you might spot some deer while standing at the top. The fountain is lovely, but watch out for tons of geese poop! The reason that I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that there are not any bathroom facilities unless you rent out one of the small pavilions for a party. They do have porta-potties, but they are not clean by any means. I made the mistake of going in there one time and I'm surprised I made it out alive. Also, if it is nice weather, expect this park to be jam packed to the point where you can't even find a spot to park. You'll have to park your car on the side road that leads into the park and wait 30 minutes for your turn on the swings! read more

Glasgow Park is one of my family's staple parks in Delaware. Sledding is great in the winter on the hill, and ice blocking (if you know what that is) is fun in the spring and summer. There is a 2.2 mile loop that I've run, biked, and walked, with a good-sized playground and skate park nearby. The park also has tennis and basketball courts with an enclosed dog park as well. Great park, but just remember that most of it has little to no shade. Also, on a minus note, there really aren't any drinking fountains or actual bathrooms (porta-potties are spaced out throughout the park). If you want actual restroom facilities, you have to rent out the pavilion attached to them. To end on a good note, for the people that don't want to walk around the entire loop, there's a shorter pathway with plenty of benches that goes from the parking lot through almost the entire length of the park, passing through the playground and outdoor sports complex. read more

This is a fabulous park!! I drive from Wilmington to come run on this 2.7 mile path and take my 8lb chiweenie to the small dog, dog park!! She loves the beautiful fenced in park with its trees and shaded area! Just remember to bring some water for your fur baby as fountains are not provided in the dog parks. read more
