It is a wonderful place to spend some outdoor time walking the gardens and learning about the native plant life in this area.

Each child was $7.50, and I didn't have to pay. There's also a local discount, which was a nice bonus if your local (Central PA) . The best part is that your kids get wristbands for all-day access, so you can leave and come back later. The wristbands were convenient, but not every kid loves wearing them. One of mine tried to pull theirs off, so that's something to keep in mind. The entire village is set on turf, which made it feel clean and easy for kids to run around. There are around 10 little houses, all filled with fun, imaginative play setups. Things do get a little mixed around from kid to kid, but it didn't take away from the experience at all. There isn't much shade, and on a hot day it definitely makes a difference. We stayed for about an hour, from around 11 to 12, and that heat was the main reason we left. Food and drinks aren't allowed inside the village for kids, but parents can walk around with coffee, which is a plus. There is a food and drink stand on-site if you want to grab something. The setup overall is super convenient. Bathrooms are right there, and you pay at the main mini golf area when you arrive. There are also extra outdoor games included, like giant checkers and tic-tac-toe, which added even more value without extra cost. Parking is easy with angled spots, and when we went it wasn't crowded at all. The location is also perfect if you're already exploring nearby spots like Choo Choo Barn, Strasburg Rail Road, or Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. Everything is within about 10 minutes. There were a few bees and wasps around, which is expected for an outdoor space. It wasn't overwhelming, and it didn't interfere with play. This would be a great spot for playdates or casual meetups. The price is hard to beat, and it's an easy, fun outing for younger kids. I'd definitely go back, just aiming for a cooler day next time.

That wouldn't be such a problem if the bins that are at like every other hole that say "extra balls" don't have any golf balls them. I know it's a popular spot but I wish they had a little more management on the capacity to make it so that you don't have to wait literally 10-15 mins between every other hole. Other than that, great spot unlike most courses.

Extremely disappointing experience at the Newark location. I would strongly encourage parents to…read morethink carefully before enrolling their children here for ninja class and any gymnastics program. My children (ages 4, 6, and 8) missed ONE class during a 10-week session. Their written policy states that students are allowed one makeup class or open gym, yet the gym refused to honor it despite weeks of calls, emails, messages, and even an in-person visit trying to resolve the issue respectfully. What made this situation especially frustrating was the constant shifting of explanations as to why my children were being denied a makeup class. First, I was told that "makeups are not guaranteed per our policies (which are listed online)." I thoroughly reviewed their entire online policy page multiple times, and nowhere does it state that makeups are automatically denied under these circumstances or that end-of-session makeups are prohibited. Second, their policy also does not explain how families are supposed to schedule a makeup when the missed class happens at the very end of a session. Once I pointed out that obvious gap in the policy, the explanation then changed to: the session had ended, so the kids could no longer make up the class. Then the explanation changed yet again to claiming I "never contacted them" to arrange a makeup. That statement is completely contradicted by documented calls, emails, voicemails, and follow-ups over several weeks. I even contacted the gym 2 weeks PRIOR to missing the class to ask how the makeup process worked and was told the absence first had to occur before scheduling could happen. Afterward, I repeatedly attempted to coordinate the makeup and received no meaningful communication in return. The responses I did receive were extremely short, dismissive, and defensive. At one point I was even told my attempts to resolve the issue were "excessive," despite the fact that the only reason I kept reaching out was because nobody would provide a clear answer or reasonable resolution. I also came to the gym in person hoping to speak with someone face to face. I spoke with a supposed manager and still got nowhere. I requested a direct phone call or face-to-face meeting with the owners to discuss the issue professionally, and those requests were denied as well. The amount of effort this gym put into gatekeeping a single open gym makeup for three young children was honestly unbelievable. The Newark location feels poorly managed and lacking accountability. The impression I was left with is that customer concerns are ignored, policies are interpreted differently depending on the situation, and families are dismissed the moment they ask questions or point out inconsistencies. This entire issue could have been resolved with one reasonable conversation and basic customer service. Instead, it became weeks of avoidance, contradictory explanations, and dismissive treatment over one missed class. Parents absolutely deserve to know how concerns are handled here before committing their time and money.

Typically people provide generic decorations. But their decorations were individualized to my party. I merely provided accents! The day of it was all hands on deck! The entire gym pitched in on set up and took the kids through a variety of ninja stations. Mikayla was like the commander in chief and flawlessly delegated tasks to all employees to fit my needs. There were also 2 kids their on the autism spectrum and they were able to cater to their unique needs during activities. The kids had an amazing time and I will be signing both boys up for classes soon. I also like that you can bring your own food and that parents can watch from a comfortable overlook area!

After my Yelp friend David H. posted about this small gem last month, I had to take a look myself…read moreas I have been in the area numerous times but had honestly never heard about this place. Just to keep the history lesson short, it was built by York County in 2007 and it is one of a series of ten overlooks that are at different points in the county all of which give views of the Susquehanna River. susquehannariverlands.com/the-great-outdoors/scenic-overlooks/highpoint-scenic-vista-rec-area/ The set up is fairly simple. There is a small parking lot at the base of the overlook on Hilt Road. At the base there is a picnic bench and a port-a-blaster along with some literature about York County parks/area trails. From there it's up and around the trail which is a 1/2 mile loop with five way point stops that I guess are made to have you appreciate the view from different angles? At the top the view is very nice. It's literally the same as if you were over at Samuel S. Lewis State Park except that now you're two-ish miles closer to the river. The overlook from Samuel S. Lewis is higher and is visible from here and the top of the vista here is very visible from Sam Lewis. We were here around 35 minutes and the parking lot was packed but people were at different point of the incline and on other trails nearby so things never felt cramped or rushed. While I'm not necessarily sure that this place needs a return visit, I'm glad we came and I appreciate David putting this one on my/everyone's Yelp radar as it is a unique spot worth a brief stop.

We were able to get Set up with a library card in no time. I just asked of the front desk and minutes later the card was in my hand. The Rec Center: Overall, I liked the layout of the rec center, and the folks that helped with getting a card were SUPER friendly and helpful. While I have not officially used the rec center, I was a bit disappointed with the the size of the weight room. The size of the weight room reminds of a weight room that one would find in a hotel. However, the gym did look like it had everything that one would need for a decent workout. Also, I was a bit surprised that the rec center does not open until 9 am on weekdays (and Saturday). Based on my prior rec center experiments, I'm used to rec centers opening from 5:30 to 7 am. Then again, perhaps, these hours are for the summer months. The Library: Again, the librarian who signed me up for a card was very friendly. Also, I loved how she gave me a very thorough overview of this branch's services and resources. Although I was in the library for only a few minutes, I thought it was very well organized.

More so, I've noticed visitors take care to leave the park clean and just as they found it. I went for the first time this year earlier this week and was reminded just how much I love this beautiful space. If you are a senior, go to the office before you head to the park and get a senior pass. It gives you and everyone in your car free entry and it's a lifetime pass! My dad popped in after meaning to for so long and got the whole process done in a few minutes. No pass? It's just $5 per person. The folks in the office and the ticketing both are all friendly, kind and so helpful. They even had treats for our pups waiting in the backseat. There are so many different sections of the park to explore and visit. There's a beach for swimming complete with everything from a dock to a lifeguard, a rockier and more quiet area for fishing. They have a section for those camping. A perfect visit during the summer months. Enjoy!

The view from the campsite was gorgeous, and the fishing was great! The site itself was peaceful and surrounded by beautiful trees. It's roughly 800 feet from the dock to the campsite, but be prepared -- the trail is very rocky with little hills and high rocks, which makes dragging coolers, camping gear, and other supplies to the site pretty challenging. Definitely pack accordingly! There is a designated trash area, which is great, although it's a bit of a walk from the campsite. We also did see people hiking behind our campsite, so I wouldn't say the site is completely private, but it was definitely private enough to feel secluded and peaceful. Cell service was also very limited, which can be a positive or negative depending on what you're looking for. It definitely gave us more of that unplugged camping experience. The biggest downside was the picnic table. It is in pretty rough shape, with several boards cracked, warped, and deteriorating. It really needs some serious repair or replacement. Considering how beautiful the site is, having a decent picnic table would make the experience even better. Overall, we really enjoyed Site 32. Beautiful scenery, unbelievably clear water, great fishing, and a peaceful camping experience. Just be prepared for the rocky walk from the dock, limited cell service, and a picnic table that definitely needs some TLC!
