I'm not sure what type of business they're running but it's a bit disappointing. I scheduled a glass replacement and since it was raining the day of my appointment, I went into their shop. When I arrived Devonte greeted me and took my car into the garage to start the replacement, about 5 mins later, he came out and advised that the wrong windshield was ordered and that I would receive a call to reschedule. Unfortunately, I never received a call and had to reschedule with another shop. This experience was very much a let down. read more

These guys were great! I had a tree fall on my windshield and this is where my insurance company recommended. They were able to get me an appointment very quickly even around Christmas time. They got the work done faster than they had estimated and were kind and professional. They even grabbed my oil change sticker and car wash sticker and put it on my new windshield without me even having to say anything (as a matter of fact, I had forgotten about both of those). When I got in my car there was zero evidence that they had been working in there except for a perfectly new and clean windshield. They did a great job and really nailed the small details too. Working with Glass America has been a long and frustrating experience. When first requesting a quote the only thing I was able to provide was my vehicle make and model, as well as my VIN. I did so and it showed that the glass needed for my car was in stock and allowed me to schedule my appointment for Saturday 5/18. I was then called on 5/17 and told that they had actually had to special order the glass and it would not be in for my original appointment the next day. I was then told that they did not service my area on Saturdays and I would have to make an appointment during the week. My work does not allow unaffiliated contractors on site so I had to take the day off in order to be available for the rescheduled appointment on Tuesday 5/21. On 5/21 the technician arrived but told me that he did not have the right glass. He said that providing the VIN number is not always enough information to get the correct glass so why did no one reach out prior to ask the necessary questions and order the correct glass? When I was called back by the local office to reschedule AGAIN, they were not understanding of the inconvenience of taking time off work only for it to be a waste. The only courtesy offered was to make an exception and provide the service on a Saturday at my request. My appointment was rescheduled for 5/25. Late on 5/23 the local office contacted me to let me know that the glass they had ordered had come in damaged. Not their fault but incredibly frustrating that now we would have to reschedule for a third time. My appointment was rescheduled for 6/1 and that morning I received a message saying that the technician would arrive between 8am-12pm. The technician, Devonte, called me at 12:00pm asking if I was available and said that he had not been informed of the same service window that I had been. He arrived around 12:45 and was very polite and professional. He finished up around 2:00 pm and when I went outside to pay, he let me know that in the process of replacing the glass, my rear view mirror broke and would no longer correctly attach to the window. He said that he wasn't able to get in touch with anyone because it was Saturday but would put it in the notes and someone would reach out to me on Monday 6/3 about having it replaced. No one reached out so I called today 6/5 and no notes had been left regarding the mirror. Devonte was very nice and the glass replacement was fine but over all this has been a disappointing experience and the way it's been handled by the scheduling office has been less than professional. I would not use glass America again and I just want my mirror replaced so I can be done with this weeks-long headache of a process. read more

Horrible company with horrible customer service. they installed my windshield incorrectly the first time and had to come back out and reinstall to repair the leaks. BUT, I gave them another chance. Bad decision. The second time they damaged my steering wheel during the installation. This was on June 19th, and I still cannot get them to return calls to get the situation taken care of. Any time I call the headquarters they just refer me back to the incompetent shop in Indiana that really do not want any repeat business. Do not use Glass America if you are located anywhere in Indiana. read more

Ray Fisher of Glass America Indianapolis came to our house to replace a shattered passenger side window in my daughter's 2013 Jeep. Ray is an old school mechanic with plenty of experience, which was a good thing as he had to practically take the whole side door apart to replace the glass. Took nearly an hour and a half. Really nice guy, enjoyed chatting with him while he worked. Highly recommended! Cost was just under $300, much of that being for the glass Ray had to get from Chrysler, the only local source he could find for it. Note: originally reviewed on 5/11/21 when I had logged into Yelp via Google. Discovered that the Google login showed my location as San Francisco (Google's headquarters), not Indianapolis. Glass America single handedly ruined our brand new car. 2018 Honda CRV with 3000 miles. They bent up the roof moldings, broke clips, left misc clips out (found some under the car), put dents in the roof and fender from prying clips and moldings off, and left the car completely filthy with dirt, windshield glue, and body sweat. I have never experience such unprofessionalism. After my call to complain they gave me and my insurance company the run around and it was like pulling teeth to get things fixed. Here we are a month later and the car is finally fixed. They said they would get back with us about compensation for our time and troubles but when I called "i cant find your information in our system". I DO NOT RECOMMEND them. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else! read more

What an outstanding experience. Communications with the office was great in the scheduling. When the part was not in stock, they called us and told us what they were working. They then called us when they found the part and reset the schedule. Outstanding communications. The technician came at the time they said. When we ran into a problem, he calmly worked the problem, told me my options and let me chose. He left everything clean and the work was just outstanding. Terrible. The lady I scheduled with on the phone sounded miserable and didn't even act like she wanted to schedule something. The technician that fixed it was extremely rude on the phone like I was making his day terrible. When he got here, it started to sprinkle so he sat in his van for about 30 min until it stopped. I went outside and asked if he could continue or not and very rudely said, "I guess I'll finish it now." Never again will I use them. I will be calling my insurance company on the claim that they used and see what can be done. Do not use this company!!! read more

I had a bad customer service experience with this company. When they came to replace my windshield they brought the wrong part for the rain sensor for a BMW X5. The tech told my they would call me Monday and order the part. Monday came and no call, so I called them. Customer service told me they order the part and it would be in Wednesday and they would call me on Thursday. So no return call until on Thursday and again I called them and they said the glass came in but it was broke so they reorder and it will be there Friday and they would call me and again on friday and no call. I went to satellite like I have in the past and got excellent service and a job done right and no run around customer service. read more

Hope never to need them again but if I do I feel confident that they will do right by me. 2012 Camry Driver side window + instillation was just under $200. This was better than other places that would have taken days to get the window in. Very happy with my choice here. read more
