Candy is honestly as good of a wedding planner as it gets. She is experienced, organized, timely, responsible, friendly, patient, professional, and great with details. Candy works hard to make your wedding day your dream come true and so much more. During our wedding planning, she was there for us during the days she didn't have to be. She spent a whole day with us to visit our venue for food tasting and she had GREAT insights and visions when it comes to decors and room arrangement. We loved working with her and bouncing off ideas from each other. She has an delicate, creative, and artistic eye for weddings - at the same time she completely respects your vision, but just helps garnish your vision to make it better. Candy also helped us save money by referring us to a florist who is ingeniously talented but offered to do our flowers at a fair price, simply because the florist enjoys working with Candy so much. Together with the florist, Candy and her team made our venue so beautiful all our guests couldn't stop raving about our wedding. On the day of the wedding Candy and her team made the wedding day stress free and flawless. I placed the ball in her court and did not worry about a single detail. Because I had faith in Candy that she'd arrange everything to perfection. She did not disappoint and did not miss any details. Together with her team, they spoke fluent Mandarin, Cantonese, and English - which was a big relief for me as I had important guests from all over Asia. She was able to talk to the most important guests at the wedding: my grandma, my mom, and my dad in Mandarin which made them feel at ease on such a stressful day. I really appreciated her sweet, gentle, and professional demeanors when she talked to the elder guests at my wedding. Honestly, Candy did such an incredible job and we love hanging out with her so much that my husband and I invited her and her fiancé over to our house for dinner! Candy is just the type of girl that once you work with her you just want to her in your life, even though there is no more wedding planning! We had a bad experience with Tiffani, and would not recommend her to anyone. Although she's very…read moresweet and seems well-intentioned, her inability to effectively communicate with us and general inattentiveness became so extreme that we were forced to let her go months before the wedding and find someone else. She would promise things by a certain time (venue or catering options, schedules, etc), and then not deliver them. Emails and phone calls from us would regularly go unreturned, often for weeks. We were never given a timetable of any kind, despite asking. She was not proactive about checking up on us. Everything felt like pulling teeth. She presented options for venues, bakeries, etc without first checking if they met clear requirements that we had set forth. Ultimately we ended up finding everything ourselves through our own research and external recommendations. Through all this, we kept forgiving her, because she was juggling a new full-time job and her price was really good, and she was always very sweet. We kept giving her another chance, and on at least two occasions talked to her about being better about the communication. We understood that she was busy and some texts/emails aren't urgent, but after weeks would go by without her even bothering to say "Hey I'm really busy but I'll get back to you soon," and multiple attempts to reach her failed, we had lost confidence that she would be able to handle our wedding without us having to worry about it. We were already doing almost everything ourselves, and we really didn't want that as the wedding got closer. Eventually we had had enough and decided it wasn't working out. When we told her we no longer wished to use her services, she seemed oddly surprised, as if all of the times we'd raised our concerns with her and all the times she'd promised to do better had fallen on deaf ears. We then let her know that we wanted half of the money we'd paid her up front returned to us, and she just never wrote back. We tried again, and even got a lawyer involved, threatening her with small claims court. Absolutely no response whatsoever. It's a very, very odd situation, and I really can't even begin to think what was going on in her mind to behave this way. So no, under absolutely no circumstances would we ever recommend her. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
