What should have been a simple request turned into days of unanswered emails, missed follow-ups, and repeated attempts to get assistance. The instructors are excellent, welcoming, and create a great class experience, which makes this review particularly disappointing to write. However, my experience with studio management and membership support has been frustrating. Over several weeks, I attempted to resolve a membership issue and encountered repeated communication breakdowns. I was directed to different people, asked to send emails to their general manager, Lorena, who did not respond despite multiple follow-up attempts, given timelines for responses, and promised follow-up calls that never happened. Each time, I had to proactively follow up and restart the process myself. The issue itself wasn't the problem, the lack of accountability and follow-through was. Clear communication and reliable customer support are just as important as the quality of the classes, and unfortunately that was missing from my experience. Some of the staff I interacted with were kind and professional, but there seemed to be a disconnect when it came to resolving member concerns and ensuring commitments were kept. I hope leadership takes this feedback seriously because the instructors and classes deserve praise. However, a positive studio experience extends beyond the classroom, and there is significant room for improvement when it comes to member support and communication.

It does not feel like a snooty studio that requires you to wear the latest yoga clothing to fit in. I also noticed that the studio is so clean! It feels much cleaner than other places that I have attended that may have dust or hair on the floor. Every time I go, its spotless which helps me not get distracted. As for the classes, they are physically challenging and restorative. I would highly recommend.

Yoga offers physical and mental benefits that I don't find in other exercises. Dora's studios give me that. When I moved from West Seattle I tried out a number of studios on the Eastside. I found a few that had the mindfulness of yoga but lacked the physical challenge. Others had the physical challenge but lacked the mindfulness. So I continued to travel to West Seattle from the Eastside. It was well worth it. AND now Spira has a studio in Issaquah! I'm so happy that my favorite yoga studio is closer to home!

She's kind, supportive, and really encourages her students to be the leaders in their practice and do what feels right for them. She offers a lot of modifications, so her classes are great for all levels (unless specified otherwise). Her Friday night candlelight class has been a long-standing favorite of mine. I've also been enjoying her TRX-Yoga Fusion class. She teaches an inversion workshop once a month which I LOVE. I've seen slow but steady progress in my inversions since I started taking her workshop, and her feedback and guidance has been instrumental. If you're looking for a safe, welcoming environment to try out yoga for the first time, or maybe to get some more advanced feedback on how to improve your practice, then definitely take a class at One Mind Yoga. (The first class is even free!)

Well, hello, Lindsey, no need to reintroduce yourself, because I remember you personally from…read moretalking to you on the phone plus meeting you... I called initially to inquire about yoga and after getting a condescending and belittling response from you on the phone, I confronted your unjustifiably rude behavior. You then had the audacity to call me back to harass me by leaving an abusive and horrific voicemail when I did not pick up my phone. Not only you had violated my boundaries by calling me back without me asking, but you also were also full of excuses and a showed complete lack of humility which was unsettling. After I shared my experience and the voicemail you left on my phone, other students and teachers confirmed with me that you have treated them very badly before, and this type of toxic behavior from you is nothing new at all. You have acknowledged that while my other reviews came from first-hand experiences, you have come up with an accusation by stating that the review I have written of your business was fake news. How does it make sense for me to write real reviews for other places while writing a fake review for yours only? Additionally, most majority of my Yelp reviews are 5 stars and only a few are 1-star reviews. What does this say about you? When I read Ann Marie's review, I knew that nothing has changed. Same MO. Please be show humility and be accountable for your behavior for once in your life, instead of projecting your own sense of inadequacy and putting a nasty attitude toward others (out of pure projection) who had never done anything to hurt or sabotage you. You work from a twisted mindset that you must out win anyone or anything to prove your self-worth while kicking others cruelly when they are already down. Your MO is to condescend or belittle people to destroy their self-esteem and self-worth (I notice a pattern that you like to target women) to make yourself feel superior. Such a mentality of yours is clearly reflected in how you continuously treat others. And remember, the yoga community is small and people talk, and stories circulate. When I shared your voicemail you left on my phone with other teachers no one was surprised by what they heard. How you have treated your students and teachers will always follow you like a shadow, no matter how much you try to exonerate yourself, by continually smearing those who left negative reviews for your business. From your defensive responses full of excuses and self-denials, it's so clear that there is no reflections or self-inquiry about how you have hurt others nor trying to understand where others are coming from. And trust me, you GOT QUITE THE REPUTATION in the yoga community! And looks like you are still doing the same thing and no lessons learned, Ann Marie was speaking the truth, and you didn't want to hear it. Never mind reflecting back on your condescending and belittling comments and how might that have affected someone. I mean mocking & belittling someone for having a Costco surfboard? Oh because your surfboard is supposed to be more superior? Degrading and insulting someone in front of everyone? Seriously?!?!? I am also NOT surprised at all of your response to my post or to Anna Marie's. The truth will always prevail in the end. Before acting like a victim and cry me a river about your business, maybe think about how Karma works, and not forget a place like Yelp where the wronged customers can speak out and air their grievances. If you care so much about your business, maybe start treating people with more appreciation, respect, and dignity. I wish you all the best of luck on your healing journey because you need it.

I took the intro class that was specially priced at $19. For an hour and a half, it was an incredible deal that I could not pass up...and it was more than worth it! There were about 18+ people in the class and we started with a warm up on the silks. Afterwards, we watched Mason and 2 other instructors demo on the rope, silks, and lyra respectively. We then learned a few things on the silks and did a quick stretch of the upper body. The verdict? The warmup is NOT a beginner warmup. There's lots of balancing of the upper body on the arms or forearms while the legs are held up by the silk apparatus. As the body is balancing, it is moving forwards, backwards, and twisting side to side. For me, the warmup was great and challenging, but I could see it being difficult for a beginner. Vivian was the instructor on the silks. I found her explanations and demonstrations thorough as I had previously learned one of the tricks at another studio but had not understood it fully until Vivian explained it another way. We were learning how to climb the silks and even though there was heavy emphasis on the use of the legs, I didn't hear any guidance about relieving any tightness in the forearms or the hands during the instruction. And in the cool down/stretching, there was no focus on these parts of the body at all. For the cool down, we paired up and all we did was twist the upper body while pulling on each others arms. Time was up but I wished that there would have been more time for more thorough stretching. Now I realize that there were a lot of people in the class and it was an intro class so I am probably calling out personal particulars, but I was really impressed with the overall vibe of the studio. I like their whole hybrid exercise modality idea. The instruction was awesome. The studio is a great space and I am especially looking forward to taking future classes in trapeze and lyra. Lastly, I find the pricing options a great value.
