I have been going to Aya Pilates for about a month now, and I really enjoy the classes. As a newbie to Pilates, I've found the instructors to be very helpful and attentive. They correct me gently when I am not quite getting it. The vibe of the studio is clean, airy, and peaceful. They have a nice variety of classes, and I haven't had any problems booking the classes I want. Also, when I took my first class, there was no high-pressure sale to sign up for a membership - they really let me ease my way in. Paria's Friday night Foundations class really stands out because it is just the perfect way to shake off the week - she is so soothing and in tune with all of the attendees. read more

I love Aya Pilates! I attend classes at the Madison location in Seattle. All of the instructors are knowledgeable, attentive, and encouraging, and make every class challenging yet accessible. The studio is calm, clean, and welcoming. Every session leaves me with sore muscles, but in a wonderful way that is energizing, not tiring. The studio is nice and so are most of the instructors but the online payment and booking portal isn't great and classes at good times or with good instructors always fill up almost immediately. Not the best workouts tbh I don't think I got much out of it and I'm not the fittest to begin with. There's also no option to just buy credits other than one time after trial so you're locked into a predatory gym recurring membership which is annoying to cancel. read more

I love Aya Pilates! I go to the Madison Park location in Seattle. Originally, I was drawn in by the aesthetic. It feels important to me to move my body in spaces that feel beautiful to me. When I went to my first class, I was drawn in by the real-time education, mind-body emphasis, personalized attention amidst a full class, and FUN. Each instructor has a somewhat different vibe. I haven't been to all of them yet, but have enjoyed what each of them have provided in their classes. This all exists while still maintaining a cohesiveness around the approach. AYA PILATES IS INCREDIBLE, PROFESSIONAL & MY FAVORITE! If you haven't tried Pilates and you have always wanted to - THIS IS THE PLACE. Management + Team I absolutely love the entire team! They are all wonderful and extremely encouraging. I get to see the owner from time to time take the classes. She is always so kind and engaging with everyone asking how the classes are going. All of the instructors add a little different flavor to their classes and all are knowledgeable, helpful and very professional with their practice. I am very happy I joined this studio!!! I have taken every single instructor's class and have learned so much of each of them. Studio + Equipment + Reformer(s) Cleanliness From the moment you walk in you already feel such a pleasant atmosphere and can't help but appreciate the beautiful interior decor. The entrance is gorgeous and I love that they have merchandise for sale! I wish there was more! The reformers are always cleaned before next use. These reformers are new and are very easy to use. The instructors will help you familiarize yourself before class begins. They have a tower as well which brings another layer of progression in Pilates. IT IS AWESOME! I've never done this in my life and I love learning about the Pilates tower and how it works. Everyone must wear grip socks as well. There is Bala Equipment from a Ball, Mat, Weights and a Pilates Ring for classes. Pilates Practice + Progress I have taken 161 classes and have tried all of them except the Jump Class. Foundations is where I started and I took a lot of them until I started taking Method, Precision and Power. Foundations classes were the stepping stones to start my Pilates journey and I am glad I dedicated a lot of my time to those. They introduce you to mind and body connection, your breath and even learning your body. Posture, form and movement on the reformer is very different than your average gym workout routine. I fell in love with the intensity or the workouts and the intricacies of each posture and movement. Even if you master a specific move - there is always a procession to follow. Pilates never ends!!! I LOVE IT! I can honestly say that I feel more connected to my body and mind. I noticed my resistance on my reformer is heavier, my flexibility has improved significantly and my core has been stronger thanks to all the 100's and the core work. Power + Precision are my favorite classes. And just when I thought I'm getting better, all the instructors will introduce another move to my practice. It is amazing!!!! Rejuvenation is another class I really enjoy because it is relaxing and the stretches feel so good. ALL THE CLASSES ARE GREAT! It has just the right amount of intensity to help build your Pilates body! I hope they start adding more advanced classes to the schedule! PLEASE AND THANK YOU AYA!!! Aya App: Booking + Cancelling Classes The App is easy to use. I can book easily, be on a Waitlist and also cancel accordingly. The booking policy is book a week in advance so that is nice to plan ahead. And you have to cancel 12 hours before class starts. The No-Show fee is $20.00 which is reasonable and consistent with other studios. Community: I have met a lot of wonderful women here! As I have said, the management team and all the instructors, ARE PHENOMENAL AND PROFESSIONAL! The ladies coming in are so friendly, welcoming and enthusiastic about others practices and progress. It makes me so happy when I notice how happy everyone is and friendly they are. Aya is a very nice place to be! It is becoming my second home.
