Mistakes happen, so we forgave the oversight and ordered a veil. We were sold the wrong length (cathedral, presented as being the longest type that exists, which is inaccurate) and once again, they didn't call us when it arrived. After we tracked it down and picked it up, we realized the color was not the one we had ordered. With little time before the wedding--and now zero trust in Allure Bridal Boutique and its ability to deliver on its promises--we drove to Orlando and got exactly what we wanted from a knowledgeable and professional store (The Bridal Finery, which we highly recommend). We went back to Allure to request a refund, which they refused as ALL sales are final--even when they mess up. Other than an offer to overnight the right color, no attempt at resolving the issue was made and no apologies (because they blame the manufacturer). Despite the owners' inability to accept responsibility and unwillingness to issue a refund, we left the veil in the store; it is completely useless to us but hopefully a reminder to the owner of their incompetence and to be better for their customers. Please save yourself some headaches and shop somewhere else.

Just a heads up, they do keep the door closed at times since they are appointment-only, but that just adds to the personalized experience. My stylist, Kiana, was absolutely wonderful. This was the first boutique where I was actually able to browse through the entire store myself, and let me tell you, the inventory was AMAZING. Compared to the other four bridal boutiques I visited in Jacksonville, this one truly stood out. I found myself pulling so many dresses from the racks that I genuinely loved, which was not the case at other places. Kiana was so bubbly, attentive, and supportive throughout the entire appointment. While I was browsing, she helped gather dresses and set everything up in the dressing room, making the process feel seamless and fun. She constantly checked in to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying the experience. I also completely fell in love with one of the designers they carry- Maggie Sottero. Her dresses were exactly my style, with the perfect amount of sparkle and glam. This was the first boutique where I loved every single dress I tried on, which made choosing "the one" so difficult but in the best way possible! The showroom itself is beautiful and spacious, and while the dressing area is a little tighter, it's still more comfortable than other places I've been. Most of the dresses I tried on fit really well (I'm typically a size 10-12), which made the experience even better. From a price prospective, they are really reasonable! Under 1-3k without alterations The best part....I found my dress here, which made the entire experience so special and unforgettable!!! I highly recommend White Magnolia Bridal to anyone who just got engaged. This place is truly a showstopper!

I am beyond disappointed and honestly heartbroken over my experience with The White Magnolia…read more I went to pick up my wedding dress so excited to finally try on my gown--only to later find out, during a fitting with a seamstress, that the dress they ordered for me was TWO SIZES TOO SMALL. This wasn't a minor issue--it was so small that the only solution offered by the seamstress was to completely alter it with a corset. That is not the dress I fell in love with. What makes this even worse is that the sample dress I originally tried on fit me perfectly. After reviewing my paperwork, I discovered that the Director of Operations, Gabby, ordered the wrong size. When I returned to the store to address this, with my wedding only 6 weeks away, I expected urgency, accountability, and real solutions. Instead, I was offered ONE option: take the used sample dress (cleaned) and give up the brand-new dress I paid over $3,000 for. No offer to reorder the correct dress. No help with alterations. No real accountability. To add insult to injury, they remeasured me and confirmed my measurements have not changed at all since my original appointment--meaning the dress they ordered would have NEVER fit me in the first place. This has been an incredibly stressful and emotional experience during what should be one of the happiest times of my life. Brides trust these boutiques with one of the most important purchases they will ever make--and this level of carelessness and lack of resolution is unacceptable. Please be cautious when trusting The White Magnolia with your wedding dress.

Sara B totally rocked my appointment and had me feeling like a beautiful queen in the wedding dresses we picked out. I pulled a bunch, then she picked some more based on the ones I chose. I ended up loving dresses I didn't think I loved on the hanger and hated some dresses on my body even though they were gorgeous on the hanger. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that David's Bridal has revamped its sizing so that it runs more true to your street size. I am usually a size 18/20 and so were all of the dresses that fit me like a glove. Back in 2012 when I got my prom dress from DB, I had to size up 4 sizes to find a dress that fit me, which took a hit to my self-esteem. Sara was accommodating, so friendly, and super fun to work with. Seriously, we had the best time. She suggested the best accessories to really make the dresses I love really pop that much more (different veils, belts, etc.). She then helped my sisters try on some bridesmaid dresses even though we had originally only planned for the bridal appointment. Sara had so many great tips and suggestions, especially since she had tried on many of the same dresses so she knew what would look best on my body type. I can't say enough good things. I really enjoyed my bridal appointment here and am so glad that we finally have a store here in GNV so I don't have to drive elsewhere to search for dresses. We will 100% be back!!

Extremely Disappointing Experience at David's Bridal in Gainesville…read more I honestly hate that I have to write this review because my experience started out really positive, but unfortunately, it turned into one of the most frustrating and upsetting experiences I've had while planning my wedding. When I originally came in to shop for my wedding dress, the woman who helped me was very kind and made me feel comfortable. I found a dress I loved, was sized, and ultimately paid around $1,000 for my wedding dress. I was so excited and trusted that everything would go smoothly. When my dress came in, I received a call saying that the dress was not up to their standards and that they needed to send it back. I understood that things happen, and I was patient with the situation. Not long after that, I received another call saying that my replacement dress was ready for pickup. When I went to pick it up, I was shocked by how different the experience was. When I walked in, they essentially just wanted me to take the dress and leave. No one offered me a room to try it on. I actually had to ask if I could try it on. Once I was put in a room, I was left there to figure everything out on my own. My family and I had to struggle to get the dress on and eventually had to go find someone ourselves to help us. After putting it on, I was extremely upset. The dress fit completely differently from the dress I originally tried on and loved. It was extremely big on me, and I hated the way I looked in it. I was clearly upset, but my family and I were nothing but kind and respectful. We weren't asking for anything unreasonable -- we simply wanted someone to explain why the dress fit so differently and what could be done. We were told that alterations would have to come in and handle it and that they could not give us any information. When we went back out front, I asked if they could give me even a general idea of what alterations might cost. I am paying for my wedding myself, and after spending around $1,000 on a dress, I feel like it is completely reasonable to want to know what additional expenses I should prepare for. Instead, I was repeatedly told that they couldn't give me any kind of price or even a ballpark estimate and that I had to wait until October. My wedding is in December. Since I live about an hour away, I decided to speak with a local seamstress who does bridal alterations closer to where I live. She took my measurements and looked at the dress, and she was honestly confused about why the dress was so large on me. She specifically questioned the sizing because my measurements did not line up with the size I received at all. Based on the amount of work the dress needs because of how oversized it is, she told me that the alterations could cost around, or potentially even more than, what I paid for the dress itself. That was extremely upsetting to hear. I spent around $1,000 on a wedding dress expecting it to fit appropriately based on the measurements I was taken for, and now I am potentially looking at spending another $1,000 or more just to make the dress wearable. I completely understand that wedding dresses often need alterations and that some amount of tailoring is normal. That is not what I'm upset about. I'm upset that the dress is so significantly different in size that the alterations may cost as much as -- or more than -- the dress itself, and no one at the store was willing to give me even a basic explanation or ballpark estimate. The way this was communicated to me made me feel embarrassed and almost stupid for even asking questions. I wasn't demanding an exact price. I simply wanted some kind of idea of what I should expect financially so I could plan accordingly. As a young bride trying to navigate everything that comes with planning a wedding, this experience was incredibly overwhelming. I am paying for my wedding myself, and every expense matters. I spent a significant amount of money on a dress that I expected to feel beautiful and confident in, only to leave the store feeling upset, disappointed, and worried about whether I'll even be able to get the dress to look the way I originally envisioned. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously. I understand that mistakes happen and that dresses sometimes need alterations, but brides deserve communication, compassion, and customer service -- especially when they are spending this much money on such an important purchase. I expected to leave David's Bridal feeling excited about my wedding dress. Instead, I left feeling defeated and questioning whether I made the right decision. That is not how a bride should feel after spending so much on her wedding dress.

I typically wear between a size 10-12, and like many mid-size women, I was worried going in that a lot of the sample dresses wouldn't fit. But I was pleasantly surprised, most of the dresses I tried on fit me or if it didn't zip they had a cloth or clips that made it fit, which made the experience so much more enjoyable and stress-free. My stylist was amazing, super comforting, attentive, and really listened to what I was looking for. She pulled a great variety of options and made me feel confident the entire time. The boutique itself also creates a really nice experience, they offer champagne and snacks, which adds a fun, celebratory touch. The only downside for me was that the dressing room felt a little small, especially when trying on fuller or puffier dresses. If you're someone who gets a bit claustrophobic, that's something to keep in mind. And if you haven't been wedding shopping, I mean it's a workout you WILL be sweating, so they keep the AC going which is great! In terms of pricing, the gowns do run on the higher side. Overall, I had a great experience and truly loved my stylist, I just didn't end up finding "the one" during this visit. I would still absolutely recommend Love Bridal Boutique, especially for mid-size brides looking for an inclusive and supportive experience

I lived in Gainesville, FL at the time and began looking for my dress but to no avail. I visited: Gainesville, Jacksonville, and Tallahassee, but I could not find any dresses that were close to what I was looking for. Finally, a sales consultant informed me that my taste was a couple years ahead of the local trends and that I'd have to go to a major metropolitan area and pay an arm and a leg if I wanted to find what I was looking for. Frustrated and quite frankly, pretty bummed out, I thankfully remembered Jacquelyn Brooks Designs. I contacted her, sent photos and asked if she could design something similar for me. The dress was absolutely perfect, greatly exceeded my expectations and fit within my budget. Jacquelyn really saved the day and I really am thankful that she could work with me on such a special occasion. I have recommended her to many brides in the area and would recommend her to you, as well!
