Our well pump motor locked up and had to be replaced. Over 700 feet down, the Glass Well crew had us back up and running in about 6 hours. They pulled the pump and a bunch of corroded wire and detached wire casing out, replaced the motor and pump and spliced 80 feet of new wire in that time. The crew was very helpful and answered all our questions. The area was cleaned up and the new housing for the pump saver features clear sections that I can view the diagnostic lights from the unit without taking the cover off. Buried lines about 3-4 inches in ground and THEY FORGOT TO PUT LID BACK ON!!! i had them connect a 2500gal storage tank within the year. Was on my roof the other day doing work and notice my tank cap was missing, my tank is at the back of the property and you can't see the top of tank from ground. I know they took the lid off to inspect tank. Tank is now filled with leaves and who knows what else, don't even know where to start on cleaning this tank. i managed to find the cap on the ground Next to tank. constant pressure pump screeches and squealing when starting And squeals while running They said it's normal but that's kind of hard to believe thee water lines they used to connect tank are only buried about 3 inches into the ground when they told me they would be buried deep enough in case of freezing weather. read more

They were able to come to my property within an hour of my service request, which was for a simple leak fix on the tank and booster pump system they had installed for me. One thing lead to another and they discovered a major issue with the electrical system on the well, which was installed by a different local company. The fix was simple but critical. They went the extra mile to work backwards through the system to make sure that all was operational before finishing. Many thanks to the team at Glass Well Service. We lost water at our house on a weekend, and called Monday morning. The company was able to send someone out by 10am, and had our well pump replaced (over 700ft deep) and working by about 4:30. When we found a leak in older pipe parts from them being jostled, we called at 2pm on Friday and they made it out that afternoon to fix it for us! Their pricing was very reasonable and their service, from the time we set up an appointment to the final installation was first-class. One doesn't normally call the Well Service folks just to say hey or do an annual checkup. One calls them in desperation. And in the background you're only thinking about 2 things, how soon will I get water and what is the end bill going to be. We contacted these guys on Tuesday because we had no water. Within hours we found out that it was a simple reset. We called them back and told them we're good and they didn't have to send anyone out. They were very nice about it and said no problem just keep us in mind. In the evening the water stopped again so we left them a message to put us on their list again for the next day. They contacted us Wednesday AM promptly and said they would be here in 10 minutes. We live 5 miles from them. They came here assessed the situation and our day began. Initially, it was a electrical wire that had burnt, and fortunately did not catch fire to our well bldg. Methodically continued and learned that the water pressure was very slow and could be a pipe. Of course 30 pipes down, the last pipe had a hole in it. This was not immediately discovered as the guys wanted to have the pump checked out at the manufacturer in Austin. They returned the next day and replaced pipe and put everything back together. Water was flowing immediately. The guys were very professional - no cursing, smoking - and kept us abreast of everything that was going on. An educational experience for those that want to learn. They pulled our pump higher and ingeniously salvaged lots of the excess wire in the event in the future we have to go further down. The staff on the phone was wonderful, so compassionate about what they do. Wanting to make sure everything is right and we have no complaints. We don't have any complaints and we will definitely keep Glass on our main contacts in the future in the event we need well service again. Also very insightful on the existing reviews that they do more than just fix wells. Great job, Glass Team!!! AND particularly ANTHONY, he was so zealous at what he did. The 2nd day he came in not feeling up to par (food poisoning), but he kept to it. Finally, pricing was very reasonable for what they did. In the past we used someone else and due to lack of safety, dropped our pump to the ground and resulted in a new well that they wanted to bill us some $20K. Never to call on them again. Top 5 things said when one runs out of water: 1) OMG!! There's a turd floating in the toilet....and I can't flush! 2) My hands haven't been washed since Saturday! 3) Whadda ya mean, I can't shower? 4) I'm tired of nothing but beer and Pepsi!! 3) Rosebud. (gasp) Let's face it, if you're on a well you don't take calling for service lightly in central TX. You are in a serious way. Now, given the fact that you can get rolled over a barrel and say "yes sir, can I have another?", how does the following strike you : -I call on Friday because we're consistently running out of water. Delton Glass answers, and after saying how swamped he is proceeds to walk me through trouble-shooting my well...no charge. -On Monday they come out, spend about an hour, and after a number of tests that they explain to me in great detail say that our system is fine. Other than recommending a relatively inexpensive cut-off switch, they think we're good to go. Oh, and his uncle shows me how to use a wire like a divining rod to find where lines have been dug. (HINT: the wire turns 90 degrees for no apparent reason, except that it's over excavation.) -The following Wednesday they install the inexpensive cut-off unit. We do shots of Jagermeister at 9am and celebrate. Ok...I'm kidding. Here's the thing: they're honest, they're hard-working, and they're all about customer service and taking care of you and your problem. And, they've been in the well digging/servicing business since the late 1800s. I'm guessing that you don't have that kind of track record if you're not being equitable to your clientele. And the best part is I know a new party trick with a wire bent at a right angle. And I already tried it out on visiting relatives. It was all they could do to NOT call me Uri Gellar. I have never done an online review of any Company, good or bad but I had to not only let people know how awesome this business is but also let them know what an awesome business I think they are. As many others in this area I lost power and water during the recent weather event. I called Glass Well Service once I had power restored to let them know I had a real mess in my pump house and had no running water. I knew they had to slammed with calls and didn't expect a response since everything was still frozen. The next day I received an email from them that they had received my msg and that I would be a priority once they were able to return to their office and get their Techs back on the road. I was impressed. On Monday 2/22 I received a call from a Tech that he was headed my way! I was thrilled. When he arrived he worked to repair busted pipes etc only to discover that my booster pump was cracked! Still no water. Disappointed but obviously not his fault or anything he could do. I was put on the waiting list for a new booster pump with no expectations of when they may have one available. I made plans accordingly. On the morning of 2/23 a different Tech was at my door with a new booster pump for me! I couldn't believe it! I was so happy I almost cried. He got right to work and had water back to my house in a little over an hour! It was a miracle as far as I was concerned. Then as things were being checked out to be sure no leaks in my house the outside water spicket literally blew apart and water was spraying everywhere! The young man told me he couldn't fix that as he didn't have the supplies and that until that was fixed he couldn't turn the water back on. Totally deflated! But as I turned to go back into my house he came over with tools in hand and said he couldn't fix it but he could tap it off! Voila - I had running water again. These people went out of their way to help me get water back! They were kind and very efficient and even creative in helping me. They did a great job and have very competitive pricing (we shopped around.)A few months later we ran out of water on a Sunday and had to call an emergency well company, and were charged $400. We called Delton on a Monday and explained the situation and he made it right! I can't say enough about their customer service and would recommend them to our friends and family. We used Glass Well for adding a 2500 gallon storage tank and a constant pressure pump, in addition to replacing a broken iron breaker filter, water softener, and replacing filters for the whole house filter and reverse osmosis filter. (The house is older, and was sitting for several months prior to us buying). They did a great job and was able to pull off such a a large job very quickly. We needed it quickly because our well water smelled of sulfur. Cody was our main point of contact, and he knew exactly what would fix the smell, and how to address all of the other parts of our system. Being a first time well owner (as an adult, at least) he was informative on what we needed to do for routine maintenance and things to consider in the future. We started to build our house in Spicewood last year (Oct, 2014). We picked Glass Well Service for their quality of work, competitive price, and excellent customer service. Now, I've stayed in my house for 3 month. It's a good time to write the review. From the beginning, Mr Delton Glass was involved with the well feasibility studies and well design on my track. Since I had no experience on well, he explained everything clearly and in great details. I'm so glad that I took his design entirely and everything works nicely today. By inspecting the area and from his experience, his crew found a main stream just 300ft down with more 25 gallon/min water flow. The 2500 gallon holding tank is such a great option. Even when power is out, we've got water flow inside house. Because the holding tank, the well pump hardly kicks in. I'm expecting a long life out of the motor. I'd say a few words about Glass Well service. They're very very good. One morning as I flush the toilet, I noticed the water pressure was out. It was 5am. So, I wrote to Mr. Delton Glass that I had a problem and asked him to call me when he gets the message. 15min later, I've got his email. I'm 100% impressed. He helped me to debug the problem and concluded that the well's pressure pump should be fine. I was bit skeptical and I called electrician. When they inspected electrical work, surely enough, it was the bad breaker. During that morning, I had multiple phone conversations with Delton and his assistant Ramie. They were very willing to help and made sure the problem got resolved. I'm, without any reservation, strongly recommend Glass Well Service. They've got experience and great customer support! Glass well service helped my family in a huge way. The water stopped working in our home so I checked the well pump house to see if there was a simple fix. I could not figure out the issue so I called a local company to come out and fixit. That company was unable to diagnose the problem but still charged me $200 to look around my house for 20min. I then Called Glass well service, they sent out a service man who arrived within 30min of my call. He had my system up and running in 10min. It turned out to be a very simple wiring issue. The serviceman did not charge me. He said the problem was simple and that Glass well likes to keep customers around. He noticed my softener was old and rundown and told me to call them when I am ready to replace it. I asked him to send me quote which they did in a timely manner. My pregnant wife was extatic that the water issue was fixed immediately and that she could take a warm shower that night.
