In the past, I've dealt with insurance agents and they've disregarded my claims. Sometimes the small claims were paid out though. But I had never been as injured as I was when I was in a motorcycle accident. When I was looking for a motorcycle accident attorney I found Sergio and his law firm. I wanted to work with someone close by in Los Angeles so I went in and spoke with him about my accident. Sergio asked me everything about the crash and how it happened. I was riding on the highway when I went around a driver who was on my left hand side. When I was changing lanes, he changed as well, but without turning on his blinker. I couldn't swerve in time and he hit my front wheel, causing me to lose control of the bike and fall. I landed hard on the freeway and rolled into the shoulder. The guy who hit me parked and came over to help. He called an ambulance and waited while another car stopped and someone else got out to help. I went to the hospital and was diagnosed with a neck sprain, spinal cord damage, lacerations, and other bodily injuries. I had to get over two dozen stitches for some of the rips. Thankfully the driver who stopped to help was able to get some much needed information for me, like the other driver's license plate and insurance. He texted it to me so I could keep the record in my phone. It turned out I needed to wear a neck brace for a while and I couldn't go back to work for a few weeks. My job as a driver for a taxi company was compromised since I couldn't look behind me and it would be too dangerous for me to be on the road. Sergio was a great listener and really knew what he was talking about when he started to explain all the legal details of what would happen next. He would examine all the evidence I gave him, like the bills from the emergency room and the testimony that I couldn't work, and he'd reach out to the driver who helped and to the responsible driver's insurance company. I was taking painkillers and needed to be re-evaluated to see how the damage healed up, so I didn't have a lot of capabilities. Even more than that, though, Sergio was way more knowledgeable than I was in the field, so I had no issues with him handling the case completely. The driver had full coverage, so Sergio requested compensation for all the damages that racked up - medical bills, my damaged motorcycle (which needed new wheels and had to be repaired because the front part of the frame bent and scraped), my missed wages from work, and pain and suffering damages for emotional trauma. He said it was a lot of standard requests and because I wasn't in the wrong we deserved the maximum. The issue was that the insurance company wasn't going to make it easy. The insurance company didn't reply for days and Sergio had to repeatedly contact them to get them to acknowledge the incident and the claim. He said that a lot of insurance companies tried to stonewall people so they would eventually give up and be happy with whatever was given to them, but he didn't plan on letting that happen. Sergio said that if it was necessary we'd go to trial, and because of the supporting testimony from the other driver and all the evidence we had, there was a very high chance we'd win. A lot of the time, he said, insurance companies didn't want to go to court because they didn't have a great counter to a lot of evidence. Sure enough, after a few months of communication and negotiation, Sergio got the company to send us a check for full compensation for all the damages he requested. What really sold me on Sergio as being the best attorney I could have found was how he handled everything after the case had finished. He was persistent in finding me a good doctor and therapist who would make sure I was fine in the coming weeks. I had never needed any rehabilitation so his efforts made me feel like I was really appreciated and cared for at the firm.

Despite the change in firms, I experienced the same pattern: unanswered calls and messages, no meaningful updates, and no clear explanation of the status of my case. As a client, I have a reasonable expectation of timely communication, transparency, and diligence none of which have been provided. This matter has now spanned several years, and being repeatedly ignored has caused unnecessary stress and concern about whether my case is being properly handled. An attorney has an ethical obligation to keep clients informed and to act with reasonable promptness. In my experience, those obligations were not met. I strongly advise anyone considering this firm to get all communication expectations in writing and to keep detailed records. If communication and representation standards are not upheld, remember that filing a complaint with the State Bar is an available and appropriate course of action. I will be filing a bar complaint myself.

Ryan Vego put my family first. From the very first phone call to the last signature on the last disability check, he was constantly arranging the numbers so that I would have the best possible long-term outcome. Of course he gets his cut, but it felt like he wasn't concerned about how much money he was going to make. And he was a lot more worried about how I was going to pay my rent all along the way than his own paycheck. He found me the absolute best doctor in Los Angeles and his first question every time we talked was "how are you doing". He made me feel like a person. And this went on for about 5 years while my case was slowly dragging through court. Always on time, never cancelled any meetings or rescheduled anything. Offices are clean and comfortable, but not covered in gold. Professional but human. He's everything that the other lawyers say they are. my experience with this law firm is that the staff did not do one thing on my behalf with regard to my case. i then, in turn, fired them and championed my own case. i got a lot done on my own including paperwork. in the most tackiest fashion, 2 years later my case went to a court hearing and this firm had the nerve to send a stranger of whom i've never met to go to this hearing to collect a 15% payment. to the public: watch your back with this so-called law firm. the staff is very shady, uncaring, not genuine, fake and the only time the firm is willing to actually do something on the case is the day that they send an employee to a court hearing to try and collect a 15% payment (fraudulently). save your time and effort and either work on your own case or hire a different firm in the town of glendale or elsewhere. also, this information posted here with regard to my case is fact, not opinion. glauber berenson did nothing on my case: fact. read more

Horrible service. Every time I call nobody answers and when they do answer my call gets transferred to another line that does not answer. The initial person that answered said they'd transfer me to somebody and when that second person answered they also couldn't help me ?! It's like nobody knows how to do their job in this office. They all can't do something it's always "this person can help you let me transfer you" but then you get transferred and they can't help you either apparently and the only person that CAN help is at lunch ... at 11:30 .. ? My brother had a serious injury a couple of years ago and it turned out to be a workers comp case. Glauber Berenson Vego was recommended to me by someone I respected and they did a wonderful job. When I attempted to ask a question, she would stop me and tell me more about how my claim will be denied and how their doctor may deny services too. I was 100% ok with that risk but what I wasn't ok with was not being able to ask follow up questions. She said you are not using your own time (in fact, I am). She then proceeded to tell me that I should go back to work then. When I tried to ask her how I should go about that since the doctor has placed restrictions and a HR meeting determined those restrictions could not be accommodated (I was dismissed from work on my own time) She said if your hand doesn't hurt go back (the injury is my shoulder and I've still had no diagnosis). She then told me to be careful of complaining my way out of a job. As a member of the LASD community, I 100% do not recommend
