The following was sent to the State Bar of California. There is an additional six pages that lays out my case in great detail. I have since changed to an attorney who is actually pursing my case for my benefit. I trusted what was on The Bar of California website about holding lawyers accountable and provided you with an open-and-shut case where GEKLAW in the persons of Monica Fairwell and Amy Leung blatantly sabotaged my Workman's Compensation case in a quid pro quo with Frank Christine of Tobin Lucks. It is obvious that you did not do an investigation, but just looked for excuses to not have to take action. What was done to me was not "an informed tactical choice" or within "a range of reasonable competence" but an unashamed breach of fiduciary responsibility, not just by the two lawyers, but GEKLAW as a whole, since two other lawyers were also involved in my case. They purport to be Workman's Compensation specialists, the only such firm recommended by United Teachers Los Angeles (UTLA), yet they do not know what documents should be submitted on the client's behalf on a Rolda analysis? The minimum you should have done is have an independent Workman's Compensation lawyer see if these documents submitted were appropriate for MY side of the case; they aren't. They were supposed to argue MY case, not throw me under the bus to a long-time courtroom "rival." How many more teachers' Workman's Compensation cases were decided by these dirty back room deals between GEKLAW and Tobin Lucks? Your abrogation of responsibility in this case means we will probably never know. Since you did not think it worth your time, to investigate, I will lay out the case for you. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would.If you're looking for a good workers, compensation attorney or law firm, this is not the one! Especially if you are a first responder, this is not the law firm for you! I set up and called Monica, who is Joanna's assistant, and had her set up a consultation for me to go over my workers compensation information and to be represented by her and this law firm. The day of the appointment and the time of the appointment come and pass, and I hear nothing from the law firm and nothing from the attorney Joanna or her assistant letting me know that they were unable to make the appointment that they scheduled. The next day I contact them asking why I did not receive an email or phone call letting me know that they would not be able to make the appointment and the assistant told me well. I'm not sure what happened this is unusual But I will schedule another appointment. The next week I have an appointment with Joanna, who is very rude and disrespectful because I did not know some of the questions she was asking of me (should have been my first red flag to run) She ended the conversation with she would take my case and to send me over all the documents that she needed so she could go over them and help me fill out certain docs.. I asked her to clarify do you want me to send them to you or your assistant at which point she said her. I sent her the documents that day and it's now been one month and I have not heard from her or her law firm and even sent her an email asking why I had not heard from her or her law firm as well as contacted her assistant. This law firm is not a professional law firm and is not somebody or a firm that you would want to take your case. There are plenty of other workers compensation attorneys who will get the job done and take your case serious I would not waste my time with this law firm. They have been nothing but a waste of time and unprofessional since day one. I am so glad I did not end up signing with thisaw firm. RUN RUN RUN! If I could give them zero stars I would. I originally rated Adam one star but after being rejected from attorneys to take over the case when he quit, I change my mind. The unjust judge refused to get a corrupt, lying QME off the panel and thus ruining my case and I have been denied my rights to see doctors to various untreated body parts, so of course I got the worst luck on this case that powerful Adam couldn't even get over this battle. Adam is well respected in the work comp field and everybody knows him. I think he knows what he's doing and even though communication sucks, as with many lawyers, he was working diligently behind the scenes. During a time my father was going through strokes, blood sepsis, mitral valve replacement, pacemaker install and a myriad of many other problems atop my own newest injury on top of my work comp injury, atop two of three dogs ending up dying from sudden heart issues and trying to keep up with everyone's medical problems, vets and doctors etc, atop threats of eviction and losing any possibility of employment, then Adam quit (he ran out of tricks in his bag) and I felt abandoned and alone as the upcoming hearing fast approached. He was not helpful in referring me to another attorney or helping me in any way. He absolutely refused to help. Finding an attorney to take over was extremely difficult during the time of all this crap hitting the fan. I went through a suggested attorney list and called each one and nobody wanted to take over the case except this ONE young kid who claimed he knew Adam and could do better than him. So far this kid only has 9 years experienc, is incredibly WEAK and spineless. Literally zero enthusiasm for my case and procrastinates and my hearings and trials have continued to be pushed back because he's unprepared. He literally ignores all calls and emails and will call the day before trial. He doesn't help at all and has ZERO confidence. So this guy compared to Adam makes Adam look like a saint! I would like to say thank you to Adam Dombchik and his team at GEKLAW. I was injured at work and just assumed my city would take care of me. After almost 5 months my employer had only set up one doctors appointment and my injury continued to get worse. When asked by my supervisor what my attorney was doing about the surgery I needed, I told him I didn't have an attorney. I was told to contact Adam and things changed immediately.
