Gleam car wash is really something special. They hire a lot of disabled workers and give meaningful amounts of their revenue to charity. My husband and I took our 2012 Audi S4 into Gleam this week for detailing. It has become our mountain car, and looked every day of its age. The hood in particular was dull, and the color almost completely washed out. We were warned that the sun damage to the hood was so bad that it likely couldn't be restored. But we sprung for the paint polish anyway, because the rest of the car needed it. To say we are thrilled with the results is a vast understatement! Its a standard go-thru car wash. Sometimes it's so fast that it flips my mirrors backward and I'm worried about damage. As far as value, the base price is fair. I got a standard wash, and I thought that it would entail much more body detailing from the end crew who I tipped generously. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Never tipping nearly that much again because of how little they did.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I would encourage you not to tip until after the car wash so you can see how little work is done and you can tip appropriately.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was tipping much too high at 20%. I recommend anywhere from 5 to 10% tip based on how much work they do. read more

I had a membership at Gleam for both my car and my wife's car for about 3 years. In the last year or so things started to really go downhill. I can't quite isolate what it was that changed but I can pin point two events as reasons why I would find another car wash. About 4 months ago I pulled my car into the conveyor track the same way that I had done a 1000x previously but when the wash was over and I went to put my car into drive, I noticed my front drivers side tire was flat. When I pulled around the front my tire had 2 psi left in it. After getting out I discovered that my entire valve stem had been ripped out. I was told this was because the conveyor track was miscalibrated - still not sure what that means but ultimately it was Sunday evening when the jus happened and I had to leave my car in the car was overnight!! The next day I had to pay 200$ for a tow and for the inconvenience, Gleam offered me a free detail. Hmmm.... It was after that that I started to really question if the 2 car membership that I was pay 120$ a month for was worth it and pay attention to everything going on at Gleam. Ultimately some of the things I saw going on led to me cancelling my membership (or at least trying to) This is also the primary reason I'm taking the time to write this review. When I asked about canceling I was told to visit the website and submit the two car ID #s that had been assigned to my wife and I's vehicles. I asked what those numbers were and was made to feel like I was causing a major inconvenience to the front desk cashier for even asking. Once I got those numbers I submitted them online as instructed and assumed the membership had been cancelled. Well, on October 3rd I was billed 132$ for a monthly car as membership. When I called I was told that who ever had told me to cancel online was incorrect and that memberships that had 2 or more cars had to be cancelled in the store. I reasoned with the mgr that if that was in fact the case, why hadn't the person whom I spoke to just cancelled my membership there on the spot when I asked them about it. Something didn't make sense. The only response I got was that they had hired some new employees lately and that they occasionally 'didn't know what they were doing.'... come again!? When I asked for a refund on the $132 charge, I was told that wasn't possible but that they would offer me 50% refund. Sort of a disappointing end to a 3 yr long membership that I had with gleam. Over time their lack of concern for my vehicles got to a point where I wasn't comfortable with taking my two Mercedes there anymore. Their lack of professionalism and customer service in the last year was the icing on the cake. There's plenty of other car washes out there. If you care about your vehicle, I'd recommend you don't waste your time at Gleam. . read more

They ask for a tip on top of a $14 automatic car wash and they can't even be bothered to spray it I usually have to go through twice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This last time the guy was super rude and wouldn't let me go through he told me to circle the block again to make sure I wasn't cutting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was literally no one in line. I tried an interior wash once and had to go back because they missed a bunch of spots and didn't believe me that I had taken it there. LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS - DO NOT GO HERE. YOUR CAR WILL BE DAMAGED. My car was involved in a 5 car pile up in Gleam's tunnel in which every single car sustained damage, due to their negligence in continuing to load cars into the tunnel when the car in the front had died and could not exit the tunnel. The operator told me that "no one told him" to stop loading cars, so in we all went and then it was bumper cars while we all rammed into each other. Multiple employees accepted fault on scene and promised video footage, and now Gleam is not cooperating with insurance. They offered to pay me $350 for my grill which is $5,000 to replace. :) The worst part? Gleam is encouraging us to go after the insurance of the person whose car died - a longtime, loyal employee of theirs. Don't listen to their talk track about being a local business and doing the right thing - they aren't even doing right by their own employees. read more

Gleam is a car wash that looks big, but when you get there, its very tight and space limited, so limited that they dont have a vacuum section, just a person at the end that will wipe a dirty rag over your windows. But my vehicle went in filthy dirty and while it didnt come out sparkling clean, it did come out much cleaner than what I was expecting. Good experience all around. read more

I received a clay and wax detail here with Perla and she was so helpful and had such attention to detail. She let me know that there had been some drips from wet cement that were dripping from our parking lot ceiling. I wouldn't have noticed this and been able to change where we parked if I hadn't gone. Our car looks just like new - and we left feeling a sense of trust in this place. It's a great value for the price and I definitely recommend it! The photos of the wet cement they found and were able to take off like it was just new. I was so impressed! Visiting Denver, my rental car was side-swiped by someone who didn't leave a note. Luckily it was just surface and not body, and I wanted to avoid having to go through the chain of bureaucracy (rental company, my car insurance, my credit card travel coverage, etc), so I decided to just see if I could remove the paint and marks easily myself. I was able to get the paint off pretty easily, but there were remaining marks underneath that would not come off no matter what I tried on my own. I took it to Gleam, and they got them off in about 30 seconds for next to nothing. They were incredibly nice and helpful, did a great job, and I would definitely go back if I'm ever in the area with car detailing issues again. read more

WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS CAR WASH I brought my brand new car to this location and left with a MASSIVE CRACK down my windshield. I have photo evidence showing there was no crack prior to the wash. Right after, it was clearly damaged. When I called to report it, the person on the phone admitted, "Yeah, that happens a lot--it's probably due to drastic temperature changes from the hot windshield and then the cold water." What they don't tell you is that touchless car washes can still cause damage--they can pick up debris from other vehicles. Do your research--there are plenty of videos and stories out there warning against these types of car washes. I wish I knew prior. It's always the hardworking people that end up paying the price. Save yourself the stress and money--GO ELSEWHERE. EDIT: Per usual, a business not wanting to take responsibility and resorting to name-calling in their reviews. They included a photo of my car -- one that I provided -- not one from their own cameras. On a side note, it's not just the crack; the line runs all the way down my windshield. I encourage you to do your own research (YouTube videos, Reddit posts, etc.) explaining why car washes like gleam can do more harm than good. read more
