Top notch! Unsurpassed technical expertise and phenomenal customer service. The experienced staff at Gleason's Salinas RV went out of their way to locate hard to find parts, work within my budget and explain all options available. My wife and I moved to California from the east coast a little over a year ago on military orders. Since we are only here a short time and because it fit other family considerations, living in an RV was the best option available. However, the coach I purchased needed work (dilapidated 1969 Airstream Sovereign). Having some background in carpentry, body work and propane, I set off working on the coach before I found Gleason's. In that time I worked with shops in Montana, Utah, and several in California, ordering parts and contracting out minor work, but no one came close to the level of knowledge and service I got at Gleason's. When the time came to put the coach in the shop for some major work, the staff went out of their way to accommodate my work schedule and budget. Not only that, they were able to pull of some custom work that seemed impossible to anyone else I consulted. They built an amazing bumper (much better looking that the one sold by Airstream), added a diesel heater, tank and fuel pump, installed several major appliances, and pretty much re-did the pluming. And thats a short list of all the work they did. Now that I have the coach back home, I am continually impressed with the attention to detail. I can't say enough. Otis provided sound advice every step of the way and helped me find feasible solutions. Juan scoured the country for parts that haven't been made in 30 years. And when he did find the part, he didn't stop until he found it at the best price. Andy demonstrated a level of creative problem solving (talking about that diesel heater) and craftsmanship that continues to blow me away. I have never commented on Yelp, or any other forum to elicit customer feedback. But in this case, I've got to get the word out. Great Experience! To keep it short, Otis went out of his way to help us out. We had some problems with one of our trailer axles on 101, south of Salinas. We finally got some roadside help around 4:30p. I had been in touch with Otis and he let me know that he would stay past 5p to get or trailer onto his lot. We arrived at 5:40p and Otis had a 30A cord ready for us to stay the night on his lot in Salinas, saving us the trouble of having to get a hotel, which was a huge help because we had our dogs with us! The next day, Friday, he showed up early and got to work on our trailer. We had some serious issues with one of our axles, but due to Otis and his teams great knowledge and skill, they were able to get us back on the road before 5p on Friday. Gleason's installed a hydrolyft to carry our motocycle on our class A motorhome and tow bar connections for our tow vehicle. We needed some special fabrication to make the system work for our rig, and Gleason's went above and beyond to get it done and make it right. I'm a travel nurse and my family, with our pets, live in the motorhome fulltime. Gleason's provided water and electricity hook ups to us every night in their parking lot so we could still stay in it while they were completing the work. This saved us hundreds of dollars in hotel cost and a lot of hassle! Gleason's is very fair on their pricing. We would definitely come back to Gleason's for RV work in the future. Our camper trailer had a catastrophic tire failure (brake pad sitting on concrete) while we were in transit near Salinas, and we had the good luck to find Otis Gleason and his team. I was fully expecting a week long repair which would have ended our vacation and resulted in a 20 hour roundtrip to pick it up later. But Otis and his amazing team immediately went into action, running to the parts store to get the necessary parts before they closed for the evening and then they stayed to get it fixed that very night. It was the most incredible display of going the extra mile to help a customer that I've personally experienced. The bill was also extremely reasonable. My family and I couldn't be more appreciative. These people are top notch, honest and top quality. The weekend of August 2, 2019 I was in town visiting family with my 38 foot fifth wheel when I noticed I had some rear lighting issues. I took it into Gleasons and the technician backed it in for me. they had me done in a matter of minutes. Turns out it was just a small fuse that was out. The mechanic and technician allowed me to watch the whole thing educating meAbout this that and other stuff. Very friendly place and I highly recommend. My first contact with the business was meh but my experience once I actually left our trailer with them for an inspection and work was fabulous. They go one step beyond. When I picked up the trailer I was given lessons in it's use (newbie) and they fixed some fuses without charge. I just found a note in it and they actually sanded and painted the stove cover. They hadn't mentioned it.. but it looks beautiful. Again no charge. Highly recommend. Nicest folks. read more

My RV was hit this morning and these guys have bent over backwards to accommodate me. I'm military getting ready to move and so far Otis (owner) has done everything short of moving heaven and earth to help me so I can move to VA. Repairs start tomorrow, but these are good people. read more
