I wrote a review several months ago after having some major auto body work done on my Audi Q3. The work, price, and interaction with the owner and staff were all outstanding. So, of course I went back yesterday after a minor fender bender. Gary (the owner) had me immediately back my car into the garage and his paint person (Travis Kelce look alike btw) buffed and painted the damaged areas on the spot. I went into get a quote for painting the roof and hood, sealing a roof leak and replacing the side molding that was discolored. Gary Haedrich would not give me a formal estimate other than write out $2,500 for the description and pricing for this work on the back of his business card. See attached. I had Gary schedule me and I took my car in for the work. When I went to pick up the car Gary refused to put the side molding on my car. His son was there and knew that his father was being dishonest but he was afraid to say anything. I have sons and I cannot imagine them thinking that I was a dishonest father. The roof leak repair only lasted 12 months. Don't let Gary pull the quote on the back of a business card trick on you and stay away from this shop until the son takes over the business. read more

Dishonesty is hard to take. After taking my truck in for hood and fender repair the paint began to peel within months. It got worse by oxidizing and faded. My husband died of cancer six months later. When I called Gary the owner, said if I paid $600. He would repaint the truck. I called and he said he wouldn't do it for fee. I said he asked for $600. He told me to sell the truck and he wouldn't paint it and Said we live by the ocean and that's to be expected. I am so unhappy. read more

Mark's Barn recently cleaned up the top of my 2003 Toyota Tacoma's roof of multiple "Blisters" that were showing signs of terrible rust. They did an amazing job. Looks like new. They did tell me that rust has a way of finding its way back over time so I will watch for that. But now it looks great. The paint match was perfect. I had severe sun damage to my 2011 Honda Pilot hood and roof. I'd had crazy quotes from a few other local body shops and was recommended to Gary @ Marks Barn by a local Mercedes specialist body shop. I took the Pilot in and Gary immediately gave it a thorough check over and said the would be able to do it, plus some of the pillars would need spray/blend and gave me a really fair price and booked me in for a few weeks ahead. I took it in on the agreed Monday date..estimate 7 days to do the work and it was ready on the Thursday afternoon same week! And what a fabulous job it is!! The rest of the metallic paintwork/body was in very good condition for it's age ..so now it truly looks like new with the sun damage gone. Gary was true to his word on what he and his team would do, and charged me exactly what his initial estimate was... no extras. Without a doubt - the Best! After a metal security gate dented the driver's side of my 2003 Suzuki, I took it to another auto body shop. The person there said, "You'll need to go to Pick N' Pull and find a fender replacement, because Pick N' Pull will not deliver". There was a slight bend on the driver's door that squeaked. I immediately drove to Mark's Barn. Gary, Jr. gave me an estimate. Gary, Sr. came to inspect, told me to 'wait a minute' and came back with the crowbar-like tool and 'unbent it'! There was a scratch (big) on the passenger side and he asked me if I wanted to fix it. I said, "No, it came with the car". Brought it in three days later and left it. Three days later, I picked it up and the car looked better than new! As an extra bonus, he painted the scrape on the passenger side! Honestly, I am just thrilled. Everything about this place is fabulous... Gary greeted me and immediately knew what to do for my bumper which was about to come off due to the cheap plastic frame. Gary said I can put it a screw and touch it up with some paint.. but it will have a screw in it.. He knew that if he told me to replace the body ,, the same thing was going to happen down the line so he did not want to "screw me over." Owner, Gary, was extremely rude - never introduced himself to me or my wife. He tried to tell me that the leak I have in my trunk was because my car was old and not due to the accident. I've owned this car for 6 years and the trunk has always been bone dry. He then told me that he could fix the dent, but he wouldn't guarantee the leak.!!! I told him that I had water in my drivers door and he reached down and pulled a sort of plug out and threw it on the ground instead of handing it to me. Lastly, in the middle of the estimate he said he had an emergency and had to leave and left us standing there. I have never been treated so badly. I stopped by for an estimate for repair of some extensive damage to my car. I think it was Gary, the owner, that helped me. Before anything else, he had me pull in shop. he used a tool to pull out a dent that was preventing me from fully opening the door. As we talked about my accident, he became concerned that my alignment may be off. He asked if I wanted him to take a short drive and see. It was off. He suggested that I get it aligned somwhere before driving too much more. He was very kind and informative. All this before knowing if I would be using their services. Within a two week period I had the misfortune of being hit twice in my new Toyota Rav4. I went to Mark's Barn Auto Body and was in good hands with Gary and his Dad (Gary Sr.).
