According to her, she has lots of experience, but you would not be able to tell by the way she handles situations. I have to say, I am quite put off by her manners. For as many years in real estate as she has, she has zero class. For being a 50 something year old woman, she acts like she is a 12 year old. We asked to remove shoes, she agreed and then didnt. When I asked her face to face, she said she forgot. Then insulted us via email on the cleanliness of our apartment as an excuse. Mind you, we are in our 30's and this is our home. We stated a time didnt work for us, she then stated that we were getting out of our lease two weeks early and were saving money so we should concede . She really is very insulting and unprofessional. The emails that she sent us are rude and abrasive. If you want this lady to represent you, I feel very sorry for the people that she bowls over to make a buck. Moreover, how people will view you because she is an extension of you as your realtor. I think there are about a BA-ZILLION other Realtors in Chicago that I can think of that are professional and excellent at what they do.

If that's an example of a response to a question asked up front, IMAGINE what kind of responses you would receive if you actually worked with this guy. She made some last second changes to the deal so that she could get it done fast without discussing with me, even though it costed me money, so be wary. During this deal the buyer agent told me some of Terry's practices were unconventional and not standard. And despite some unusual circumstances, we had the best possible selling experience. Lyle did a walk-through with me and told me how best to stage the place. He even risked his life replacing lightbulbs in a stairway. He even had a friend who could fix my broken gas fireplace and did major research to find a piece that would fix it without my having to purchase a whole new unit - try finding that on Angie's List! To be honest, I had no idea what a gem we had in Lyle until going to DC and trying to work with an agent there. She didn't show us a single property that showed she had listened to anything we'd told her. And then when we came back and were looking at places, I found myself questioning why the sellers were working with certain agents. None of them could hold a candle to Lyle. He is professional and geuine, someone you don't mind spending a day pounding the pavement on a cold, slushy March day with (while wearing a boot after foot surgery - true story). I could not be happier about the results Lyle has gotten for me. I trust him completely, and am honored to call him a friend. He has a keen eye for detail, he is upfront and honest, he knows the system inside and out, and he knows Chicago. His memory is incredible, and he really understands his clientele's tastes. I am so indebted to him for helping me negotiate the sale of my condo and making something that could have been a huge headache into a very pleasant experience.
