I let them know yesterday that we now lived in Peters Colony District and would be transferring her there. They told me at the time of filling out her withdrawal papers Friday, that they would collect her books and iPad.... Understandable. Well they decided that they would do it TODAY instead... Leaving her with nothing when she has yet one more day there, mortifying my child in front of her entire class. OH AND THIS IS NOT ALL. At the beginning of the year, her lunch card ran out of money and the auto-notification that usually sends emails to me to let me know what her balance is low was not functioning properly. There was a day they actually did not give her lunch because they said her lunch card was out of money. They also threatened to not give her lunch the following day if I did not fill up her card. I called the lunch lady about this directly and they promised me someone would call and they never did.. Who does that?? A few days ago Chloe had pretty extensive surgery on her hands and I emailed her teacher, Mrs. Wittenauer and asked her to please email me and send her to the nurse if her hands started hurting too badly. I never heard back from her teacher and at the end of the day Chloe told me her hands were hurting so bad she felt sick to her stomach and her teacher would not let her go to the nurse. Awful. A few days ago, myself as well as a few other parents pulled up to the school a few minutes before the bell was about to ring and one of the administrators walked in the door that's on the side of the building and let the door slam in three kids faces, knowing they were standing right there. Despite needing to get to work, I parked my car got out and escorted these kids to the front of the building way around the other side to make sure that they got in safely. The principal herself Mrs. Jacobsen told me to my face "Well that's why we ask parents to bring them around to the front if they're late." WELL HOW ABOUT MAKING SURE OR KIDS ARE SAFE ALSO INCASE PARENTS HAVE ALREADY PULLED OFF?? Well luckily I was still there to help those kids get in okay. Again who does this? Anytime there's a fundraiser we bring many many dollars to the table. Not that that's everything but we always contribute to and support the school. The Halloween party they throw annually is a total sham. What working parent can get to a party by 6:00 PM and really in truly do everything that they have there by 8:00 PM? Plus, when Chloe first started at the school, the lunch lady came up to my daughter in front of everyone and YELLED in her face (another parent told me this!!!) because she accidentally took a milk and didn't know it didn't come with a lunch and "did not pay for it." My daughter was terrified to go back to school for a week and I never got an apology for that one... All in all I can honestly say I am thankful that we are no longer going to be a part of Coyote Ridge and I am beyond disappointed and the staff.

So caring, kind and invested in our daughter and her well being. I can't say enough about the two guides in her classroom as well and how nurturing they are and dedicated to her development. I couldn't trust them more! We get regular updates via the story park app on her progress and they are quick to respond if I ever reach out with a question. We are so impressed with her development over the past 3 months. Her vocabulary has skyrocketed as well as her independence at home. The school has so many events parents can participate in and really feel a part of the Montessori journey alongside the student. We immediately felt welcomed and a part of this amazing Starwood Community!

It's a second home for him, where the adults are warm but highly professional and reliable. My son has learned how to care for his environment, for his peers, he's learned how to bake, set a table, share a meal. The faculty is communicative and our son feels so loved by not just his peers and teacher, but everyone there. The school events are always enjoyable and educational. The campus is beautiful and adheres to Montessori above and beyond the 4 other Montessori schools in the area I toured, interviewed, and considered. We trust Starwood wholeheartedly with our son's safety, well-being and education because after 4 years, we absolutely know we can.

At the end of the day, it is all about the educators and the core values that they represent.   The educators at Parker chase focus on developing a child socially, intellectually, and emotionally.   The most important ingredient on how they make it happen is by making a child feel safe, loved and free to explore.   They read books together, play in the dirt together, have splash day together and eat together.   They teach them to respect each other, help each other, love each other and learn from each other. At Parker Chase it is never about maximizing the profit.  It is about what is best for the child.   From teacher to child ratio, serving 3 nutritious meals a day, celebrating Halloween, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and investing in the right teaching aids.  They leave no stones unturned to make every day a special day for the child. Caring out for each other is something that is part of the DNA at Parker Chase.   I remember one time our child was going through a personal medical situation.   Her entire class went out of their way to create a personal bear with a beautiful recorded message to make her feel better.   It is the small things that make the big difference.   It is like being with FAMILY! A big part of the Parker Chase culture in the parent involvement.   It is something that has been passed from one generation to another.   It is impossible to describe it in words but all parents know each other, they all look out for each other's kids, and stay in touch ever after kids have graduated.   Every parent participates in their child's special days, special projects, special events, birthday parties and celebrations. Every child deserves love, care, hugs, learning, exploring, playing, catching bugs, dancing, singing, painting, splashing, eating popsicles, donuts and most of all teachers who care.   Parker Chase is all this and more.  It is a blessing that our children got to be a part of it.
