I asked them to send their top-notch expert technician, and I was very fortunate that they sent Jason and his excellent assistant (Ricardo) to my home the next day. They carefully removed (and disposed of) my old water heater and did a beautiful job of installing the new one (it was made by A.O. Smith Corporation). The installation job required several hours but it was clearly done properly. During the entire installation process, Jason kept me well informed. I highly recommend Legacy Plumbing for any plumbing or water heater installation needs. This is a very professional company what goes out of its way to provide exceptional customer service. There was no sales pitch and no pressure. As I have always said, selecting a reputable company and high-quality equipment is important, but having it installed properly by a team of highly knowledgeable experts is the most important aspect of the job. Since finding Carrollton Plumbing several years ago I have had to call them several times and I trust them. They fixed my leaks. Yes more than one and made separate repairs that turned up while they were here. Something needs to be understood I am not related to and do not have any financial interest in Carrollton Plumbing. I recently received a water bill that was 4x the prior month, with not add'l water usage. I called CPS and the very next day they sent Luke and Jared out to test for leaks. The guys could have jumped straight into a more expense test with the main box, but instead they were methodically, went water device by water device (ie, sinks, faucets, washing machine, each toilet to see if any of those were leaking - also finding the fittings to my toilets were original to the 1983 house (which I had them replace - for a reasonable price). The last test proved (we hope - haven't' received a bill yet) was a leaky toilet. Yet they went ahead and then tested the main controller, first the house then the irrigation system. Fortunately, no pressure change - so all was good (whew!). Best of all Luke explained all the way through what he was doing and spoke in a way I could understand what he was doing. Overall, they took just over an hour for all the repairs and then explained everything they completed by taking me on a "tour" of the repairs until I was satisfied. They cut numerous holes in our walls and still failed to restore proper plumbing. Instead, they bypassed and canceled two manifolds, which resulted in no hot water to our kitchen and laundry room (documented). When they returned to "fix" the problem, they made things worse by creating dead‑end lines, causing hot‑water circulation issues throughout the house and leaving multiple areas with only lukewarm water. They then attempted to charge us an additional $800 for this. After multiple follow‑ups and excuses (all documented), the company ultimately stopped responding altogether. We were forced to hire a licensed plumber to correct their work by running new lines to our kitchen and laundry room. We know we were ripped off, and I'm sharing this so others don't make the same mistake. Do not consider using this company.

However, Zach came out later that same day for the estimate, and he completely changed my impression. He was professional, honest, hardworking, and got straight to the point. It was 92 degrees outside, and I genuinely felt for the guy working in that heat. He provided a fair estimate, scheduled the work for the next day at 1 PM, and then actually arrived two hours early. The quality of the work was outstanding--top-notch service. My brother is an electrical engineer, so I have a decent understanding of electrical work, but he lives far away. Unsurpassed service at competitive prices! I am thoroughly impressed and totally pleased with the service that we got from Medley when we needed to replace an eighteen-year-old HVAC system. The communication from everyone on the team was exemplary from the start, with owner Texas setting tge tone by calling me on a Sunday to ensure that someone had reched out in response to a "Contact Us" form that I had filled out online the day before. The next day, project manager, Taylor, came by and did an in-depth inspection of my existing system before sitting down with me to explain everything he found and my various options, in a low-pressure, easy-to-understand manner with layperson terminology. The day after that, Mason and his crew did the installation, with significant on-site support as needed by Cody. Cody and Mason and the rest of their crew spent an incredible amount of time chasing down a hard-to-troubleshoot short in wiring within my 25-y.o. wiring network, and refused to give up (even up to 12 hours after the job began) until they were satisfied that everything worked perfectly. Their attention to detail and commitment to perfection is an example that is sorely lacking from most businesses these days where customer service has seemed to decrease in importance. Finally, Medley has just begun partnering with a revycling company which comes to get all the components of the old system and recycle them, which woukd otherwise go as non-biodegradable junk in a landfill somewhere read more

I waited over a year to write this review so I could provide an honest and thorough overview of my experience with Medley Heating and AC. My HVAC system was 32 years old--and still working perfectly, believe it or not--but I knew it was time to replace both units. I initially contacted a highly respected HVAC contractor, but was surprised and disappointed by the lack of transparency regarding pricing and service. That led me to reach out to Medley HVAC. I knew the owner from years ago--he was one of my students when I was an assistant principal--and I wanted to give his company a chance. I couldn't be more pleased with the product, price, and service I received. Both my upstairs and downstairs units were replaced, and they've been running perfectly ever since. My home is consistently comfortable year-round. This was a major investment for me, and I'm happy to say it's one I don't regret. The value and performance have exceeded my expectations. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!!! I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH!!! READ TIL THE END!!! We recently had our air conditioner, furnace and ducting completely redone by MEDLEY HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING. There really are not enough words to describe how wonderful they are. Texas Medley, the owner WHO LIVES IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD (the "Shires") is prompt, professional, and polite and his entire crew is just the same. They not only upgraded our equipment, but improved it greatly. We never knew all of our vents could move so much air! Everything was brought up to code perfectly. They were in and out in 2 days and by the end of the process we all kind of felt like family. Nice, nice folks. A new thermostat was included as well. They hauled away all of the old equipment and ducting. Our old furnace, which was 5 years old, will be used by Texas to help someone who needs one replaced and cannot afford a brand new one. AND THE TOPPER IS...even though they cleaned up very well as the work progressed, Texas referred a housekeeper to us who came and cleaned the entire house...at his cost. WOW!!! Just...WOW! By the way, we first met him in July of 2017 when our air conditioner went out on the weekend during the height of summer. As a home owner, one of the biggest concerns I have was what to do when my HVAC unit goes out. Well it's August Saturday night in Dallas and that's exactly what happened. I immediately jump to into search mode and find Medley's Heating & Air. They had the best combination of great reviews, local to Carrollton, and listed as being available on a Saturday night. I call and "Texas" picks up (I believe the owner). He came right over, and informed me that I needed to replace my old HVAC. Unfortunately I just didn't have the funds to absorb an expense like this at this time. Texas did provide finance options, but to be honest I prefer to pay off everything if possible. As I'm working with Texas, he tells me that he has an older HVAC that he can install AS IS, for much less than getting a new unit. I'm ok with this option and the unit was installed the next day. Now this solution may not be right or available for everyone, but this was the perfect option for a gambler like myself. As I'm writing this Yelp review, my HVAC is running fine, blowing cool air. The two techs that came out (Jeremiah & Dean) were great, knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. I would 100% do business with them again (hopefully a long time from now). read more

So I was having a heating issue with my home heat pump system. I called my guy and he retired but forwarded all his business to this nice young man named Texas. He and his helper came out the same day! They took a look and they had found the problem in about 20 minuets. but the kept looking because things just didn't add up when they were troubleshooting my problem. Ends up they found the system wired incorrectly to make the thermostats that were installed with the house work. But this was very inefficient due to the auxiliary heating wasn't being used at all! No means of emergency heat either. So a couple hours later they had the whole mess straitened out. I always wondered why my heating bills were higher than my cooling ones. That poor heat pump was working it's ass off trying to heat my house in temperatures it wasn't designed for. They even let me even borrow a thermostat that works with the auxiliary and emergency heat features, until I got my Nest installed. So grateful for kind honest professionals that aren't trying to rip off the public to make millions. This is the kind of customer service all companies should strive for. read more

Talk about customer service! Local Small Business for the WIN!! Over the thanksgiving holiday our heat went out, Tex the owner of Medley air came out on a SUNDAY to inspect and assess the situation. Since our furnace could be considered antique at this point they no longer manufacture the part we needed. Tex searched high and low for a replacement that would fit the specifications of our unit, which required a special order. While awaiting the part Tex and his guys came out twice to kickstart the unit and called us daily to make sure we weren't getting too cold since the temperatures had started to drop pretty low. The part came in late Wednesday evening and Tex was so kind to offer to come fix it on THANKSGIVING DAY! Fortunately the unit was still working so we waited. Have you ever been in a situation where an individual talks in a virtuous and polite manner - but their "body language" betrays their real attitude and intentions? The post office will not deliver to mailboxes blocked by vehicles. The mailperson can get fired if they make that extra effort to deliver the mail. This isn't something they have any leeway over. Medley's truck now blocks my mailbox. Their "body language" betrays they don't care. Either that or their tone deaf employees just don't get the connection. Plenty of other places to park - but two steps means more to them than bystanders receiving their mail. I live here. Probably could let the nice policeman explain the error of their ways. But I'll probably let this one slide. Not worth the squeeze to pursue it. But think. If they do things like this. They are certainly doing similar to customers. Beware. read more

I have found my permanent heating & air company! I cannot say enough about Texas and his crew, and would highly recommend them to fix your old HVAC or install a whole new system. They are the kindest, most professional people I've met in this industry (I've been a homeowner for 20 years, so I've met a few!), and they did a fantastic job installing my new unit. Texas brought his entire crew and the install was done in about 4 hours in my townhouse. He even called that evening to check on me to be sure everything was working as it was supposed to be working. I have a complicated damper system and he is having to research that to do an additional fix for me, and is going above and beyond. AC went out late on Wednesday night. I have a one week old newborn so needed to get it checked out quickly. I called Medley the next morning before 7:30am and walked them through what happened and why it was so urgent to get it repaired. They were able to get someone out by 8:15am that morning to take a look and diagnose the problem. I needed a new compressor which they offered me three different deals at three different price points. By that afternoon the repair was complete and the house was cooling down quickly. I was very impressed with Medley's professionalism, timely communication (both from the office and the technician on-site), and the expertise they showed in identifying the true issue with my outside porch drain. They resolved the problem incredibly fast. Additionally, after digging a trench, pulling up my turf, adding a new pipe section, and drilling through a retaining wall to fix the root cause, they left absolutely no mess behind. Not only was everything pristine, but the turf was re-laid perfectly with the thin layer of crushed rock required to keep it stable and clean. It was truly impressive work. Our A/C went out on a 99 degree day, and I called Medley late afternoon, and they made it a point to come to my house by the end of the day to check it out. I was so impressed with their efficiency, no-pressure tactics. I was given three options of a quick patch, an intermediate fix, and a new, upgraded system to replace our 27 year old A/C. I loved the knowledge and efficiency with no hassles. We ultimately decided to replace our dinosaur system, and they made it where we were comfortable until the new system could be replaced. I selected Medley based upon their excellent reviews. The reviews weren't wrong! They have been servicing my HVAC for a couple of years and remain at the top of their game. My home recently wasn't keeping up with the excessive Texas heat, so I called Medley. They were at my home within hours and the problem was quickly resolved. Competent, Fair, Reasonable, Prompt, Ethical, Concerned with customer's concerns. I cannot say enough good things. When I came home at 6:30 pm today I found both my AC's not working and the house at 90 degrees. Texas picked up the phone , helped me troubleshoot over the phone and then showed up in 30 mins to fix a broken capacitor on my AC. Can't say enough good things about Medley. My A/C went out last night, called Medley in the morning, Chris came out a couple of hours later and diagnosed the problem. Mason came out in the afternoon and fixed the A/C, I can feel the house cooling off even as we speak. Mason's the owner's brother -- he used to be a nuclear chemist in the Navy, so he didn't have any problem retraining to do A/C repair in civilian life. OUTSTANDING Service, EXTREMELY Honest. We used a different A/C person for years and when he retired recently, he recommended Tex for our future A/C needs. My experience with an employee of this business was beyond horrific. While I don't know the man's name, he needs to be sternly reminded that while he is representing a place of business, whether it's his own or if he is an employee, he needs to respect other people. His behavior was positively abhorrent and I would never consider hiring a business with such awful people representing them. To Rescue Air's credit, they had been warning us each time they came out for HVAC Filter rotations. Thankfully, Rescue Air's ace plumbing expert Mr. Phillip Blystone was dispatched to my home to assess the situation. Within minutes he identified the issue and immediately started to work out a plan and arrangement my family could manage to cover the expense of the Water Heater replacement: the source of the leaking problem. Rescue Air has a very long history of working with my family since we've been in this home (2016), so that level of service is a given these days. But that's not the complete reason for the 5-Star rating. The next day, now with a working heater, my wife and I discovered that a leak was still present in the Garage. Upon calling Rescue Air to let them know what was going on, Mr. Blystone responded swiftly to our location to triage the leak. Using both his advanced equipment and intuition, he found that in spite of the solid repair and replace he and his team performed of the water heater, a leak was sadly missed during the initial assessment. Most other business would likely have tacked on a "not-our-problem" sort of response to this. However, Mr. Blystone and by extension Rescue Air are not your normal type of company. With careful consideration of the economic circumstance of the recent repair & purchase, balancing years of customer loyalty and being a genuinely saint, Mr. Blystone proceeded to isolate and resolve the leak (a small puncture hole in the T-pipe hot-water line leading from the heater) pro-gratis. Completely unexpected, but definitely much appreciated! It goes without saying it would be extremely foolish for my family to consider doing business with anyone else in the Dallas Metro given Rescue Air's track record with our family. The value lost would be far too great. While I hope to not need their services as often as recently, I definitely look forward to working with them and Mr. Blystone should the need arise again.

They claimed safety issues, pushed contracts in front of me, and scheduled installation for the next day. I tried to cancel but was told I was locked in. I ended up spending around $30,000. After the installation, every maintenance visit came with aggressive attempts to sell me more services I did not need. Then the new system failed in 106 degree heat. The compressor failed at only 16 months old. Communication was poor, and I was left without AC for about seven days. I had to repeatedly chase them for updates. They did not have the part, did not follow up, and someone finally arrived at 10:30 PM after days of waiting. They gave me a two year complimentary membership as compensation. I assumed the membership would end after the two free years. My card on file had expired, yet in May and June 2026 the company suddenly began charging me again. This suggests someone manually updated my card information without my permission. I never authorized a renewal, never received a renewal notice, and never received invoices for any charges. They refunded the charges I caught, but then claimed I owed $95.80 for four months of fees that were never billed and never agreed to. I asked for written confirmation of a zero balance and never received a direct response. They only responded to the BBB and stated the account was at zero. Based on my experience with both service and billing, I strongly recommend being cautious before using this company.

We had to deal with a lot of salesmen-y type of people that didn't feel honest. Quoting huge numbers and telling us our AC was definitely going to die any moment. Telling us we had to buy these huge expensive replacements. We knew it was going bad, but the experience we had with the greasy salesmen techs made us decide to wait for it to fail before trying again to find someone good. It finally failed May 2026. I did my research again and found this company. The reviews were great but I was still really nervous because of our last experience. Called them out, fully expecting to go through the process of calling multiple people before finding someone. However, Alfredo was immediately different from the others. He is such a kind and personable person. What a great first impression. If you are able to ask by name, I suggest ask for Alfredo. He arrived exactly on time, too. He didn't feel like a salesperson at all. He felt honest and genuine. He gave us all of our options. From repair to full and complete replacement and everything in between. He discussed with us the pros and cons of each option. It never felt like he was pushing us one way or the other. It felt like he just wanted us to have a working AC that worked for us, period. He also spoke equally to both my husband and I. Many technicians tend to only speak to my husband which is annoying since I take care of most of the home management. Previously we were told we had to do this super expensive option to keep our upstairs cool but Alfredo told us we likely didn't need it, and if we did, we could have it added later. I knew right away we didn't need to have anyone else come out. We chose them and they were able to install our new system same day. We left the house, and they were very respectful of our house while they were here alone. They cleaned up after themselves and locked the doors behind them. He said they would likely be done around 2am and they finished at exactly 1:59am! We had a Lego display on the wall that I'm guessing got bumped (I forgot to remove it before they arrived so that was my bad). Some pieces fell off and broke apart and they put them all on the table. I've knocked that thing off myself and finding those scattered pieces is annoying. No missing pieces at all. I was impressed by this small thing. Just another example of the care and thoughtfulness of the crew. The AC is incredible. I'm very happy so far with our choice in system and in who we picked to install it. I don't feel bamboozled or taken advantage of in any way. Highly recommend! Very glad I found them.

While he was at our place, I asked him a question about the airflow on the other side of the house and he was able to check it out for us and mentioned that one of the airvent boot was smaller than expected and that's why it wasn't blowing out much air in the room. Overall, pretty happy with the service. There was no fee to get a technician out to get an estimate and to assess problems like other places I've contacted. Pedro was nice, friendly, and was able to address concerns.

Mother Modern Plumbing will be the only plumbing service that I'll ever call again. I had been dealing with a shower and washing machine drain stoppage for a while. All other drains were fine and nothing I tried was working to clear the blocked shower and washer drain. This experience with Mother Modern Plumbing was as perfect as it gets. The first thing I noticed when I called was a quality of true kindness.. Gabby took that call and she was great. Even with my complicated schedule this week (medical appointments) she managed to work me into their schedule. She was absolutely excellent. And each of their team members that I spoke with, also had that same quality of kindness. Just genuine NICE people. Willie came over to clear the drain problem and he's an awesome guy. He figured out immediately the best approach to get the clog out. And he showed me the images with a special camera down in the drain. He's by far the most considerate person I've ever had over here. My two dogs were especially bad and barked terrible at him.. and he remained calm, relaxed and pleasant. He even saved one of them out in the street because I had left the gate open. Not only are they great people at Mother's, but they charged less than any others that I checked. I checked a lot. The 1st plumbing company that I called required a fee just to come and look at the problem, for an estimate of what the actual job will cost.. their estimate fee was about the same as Mother's full fee was for doing the entire job, with no estimate fee charged. He didn't try to upsell or force. He came, did his job and educated. If I need a plumber in the future. I'll fit sure call Mother!
