My engine blew up on my 2014 Suburban, and knew I could not afford a new one, so I started looking up Junck yards, and found GLENDALE AUTO WRECKING at 6430 W. Orangewood Avenue, Glendale, Az. I spoke with a person by the name of Dando, which was very polite, once I paid for my engine, I'm told my mechanic would not get it till the following Monday, in which I was not happy about, cause when you pay $2,300.00 for something, you expect it right there and then, so I explained that I was an Independent Care Taker with one of my clients having Seizures and that I would need to file a complaint with corporate Office, unbeknown to me, they went ahead and pulled it, sent it to my mechanic on that Friday, so my vehicle sat all weekend till the following Monday when I called and spoke with a Raul that had knowledge of this situation, but neither Glendale Auto Wrecking or my mechanic gave me a call to let me know it was there. Ohhhh and by the way, because we had to walk to Walmart, my client had a dang seizure that caused him to get treatment there and taken to the hospital, lack of communication is there biggest down fall. I stopped by about 4 months ago they told me they had the part for a 2008 Chevy they gave me 2005 Chevy part and told me it's no different. I thought about giving them another try and I guess they don't let anyone back there no more, they were also rude about it. Needs better customer service. read more

Not much to complain about they had the part I needed but lack of communication was what irked me a bit. When I asked if they had the part they stated they did so when I mentioned I'd be there in An hour to get it, they said ok. Come to find out I drive out to get the part and it wasn't off the car yet and they were closing so to make sure I had dibs on the part lol I paid for the part and was told that it would be ready next day at 1 turns out it was ready to be picked up when I called to check in the around 11 which was awesome but it could have been nice to get the call lol But they were affordable read more

Called for a quote to sell my mom's totaled vehicle. They answered, referring me to text Raul for a quote. He requested photos, which I sent right away. They gave the best price of all our quotes. All they need is a clean title notorized for transfer. Another company matched them who didn't require a notary. It isn't required in Arizona, but it maybe protects the seller? Anyway we got the other company to price match for thr convenience. I just have too much on my plate. Still highly recommend this business. Our neighbor also frequent this business often for parts. They have a decent amount of cars but not nearly as big as other local junkyards. I'm a woman who loves working on my cars and I pay attention to customer service, respect, and safety. Every time I show up to a junkyard I get stares, left and right, and so far that's all I've gotten from everyone. This place was no different. Customer service is ok in person and a little better over the phone. They answered most of my questions when I arrived and hand me a list of cars I could get my parts from. When I was looking for the cars I realized that the parts on the cars on the list did not fit mine. I looked around on my own after realizing this and found what I was looking for. The car I ended up picking the part from was not on the list. When I was about to pay, I didn't. The price was ridiculously high compared to other well known junkyards. I get it, they're small, but come on. I ended up finding the part I was looking for at another junk yard for 1/3 of the price these people were asking. I've only been to this yard once and would only step foot there if I can't find the part anywhere else but there. As a woman I felt safe, I saw a female employee walking around while I was there so I like that they have the diversity. I just wish their customer service and prices could be better. read more

Some folks just don't understand junk yards. Follow the rules and be cordial and it will work out. In 2007 I bought a replacement engine for a Tarus from them. I did not know flex fuel made a difference. These guys delivered the correct engine and took back the other, no extra charge. 2019 i wanted a running LY6 6.0 LS engine for my truck. they delivered and even added parts i could use for Core charges like covers and starters. These guys helped me build a 500+ PH torque monster for towing. I burned up my ECM and they came trough for me with flying colors. I am coming back for a Rear Axle and HD hood and I know they will do a great job! read more

So a few weeks ago I found out that my new car has a set of rusty license plate light housings and needed replacements. I asked the shop that did my oil change to quote me. They could not quote me on the spot citing that it is a dealer part and that they'd have to contact the dealer to see if that part is something they can even order. Great. Just the fact that they may have to go through the dealer sounded expensive. The fact that they might not even be able to order the part needed left me a bit deflated. Here's where Glendale Auto Wrecking comes in to save the day! I dealt with Raul mainly on my visit, but the rest of the staff there were friendly. Before I walked in, I was ready for some sideways glances just 'cause I was female and would be attempting self service. That was not the case at all. I felt comfortable with their staff and they map/directions given in the front office was helpful and easy to understand. When I was there, I also found out they are open the 2nd and 3rd Saturday morning of every month. How convenient! Most junkyards are only open during the week, which is why I actually took time off work to visit here. Its nice to know that next time, I could actually wait for my regular day off to go. If I ever need anything else hard-to-find, I will be back. Their website says they also ship parts out, so I will recommend them to everyone--even my out of state friends who are looking for parts. read more

My daughter was leaving for school and needed a part for a car that was on back order for several weeks with everyone else. I reached out to this company to see if they have the part. They charged twice the amount that everyone else did but they had the part. So we bought it, it did have to be special ordered, but we picked it up and I put it in her car. It did not work as we expected, so we took it to a mechanic to have it reprogrammed. Mechanic said the part was under warranty so I tried to return the part back in under a week after purchasing it. They labeled the part as having no refunds, but underneath was the fine print that said if you return your part within 30 days you would be charged up to a 25% restocking fee. They refused to refund any money, and just said you get store credit. I don't need car parts enough to require a store credit. They refused to refund any money. So not only do they give you questionable used parts, but also they steal your money. Unwilling to work with you. So I just left the part. Shady group, and I will never, ever, ever,recommend them to anyone. read more

I ordered a used part, they forgot to call me when it arrived. Received the part and it was in worse condition than the one I was attempting to replace. Returned the part for a full refund, and they "forgot" to credit my account, "forgot" to call me when THEY incorrectly copied my Credit card number, charged me $37 to restock a used and useless part... It's been several days and I am still waiting for my 80% refund. Cody does not return calls, Raul forgets things and no one takes responsibility. read more

We bought a used engine from them. They said the car it came from only had 45,000. We agreed to buy the engine only if we could see the car, as the car was an eraly 80's where the odometer does not turn over, only rolls back to 0. They could not produce the car, but while my husband and I were looking at the engine, my 16 y/o son, who was so excited to buy it, went and paid for it, not realizing we were still inspecting it. Upon further investigation, the engine had sand in it. We tried to return it, but James Pacoult, the manager, said he'd charge us a restocking fee of $200. Thier policy says any part that does not work can be be returned for a full refund if not other part is available. James said there was a part, but it had more miles on it, and again, we were not allowed to see the car it came from. This was in Jan, we're still fighting to get our money back. read more
