My family was not a regular church going group before we found this church. The same Angie that the lady referred to below, welcomed us with open arms and encouraged us to participate in the activities. Our kids have been going here for close to 4 years and we are happy to have found a friendly church community. Sadly Angie is no longer at BFUMC but it is still a welcoming and fun church. Our Church is members of the Family Promise, where churches house homeless families for a week. We have a yearly Vacation Bible School in the summer. There is a kids choir and amazing adult choir. There is also classes for yoga, dancing and singing. These are just to name a few of activities. I know we have many special needs members and a few special needs kids that participate in church activities, so I find it hard to believe that Angie would have purposely excluded a child for this reason. There is a nursery and Sunday school for kids below 5th grade to participate in during church services. There is also youth group with an energetic leader for the older kids. If you are looking for a friendly church please check us out. We also have a nice fellowship hour after services that you are welcome to enjoy.

This is a place of true discipleship where you are encouraged to walk closely with God and grow deeper in your faith. Pastor Ruben is a true servant, humble, caring, and anointed. You can see his heart for people in the way he leads and supports the church. The pastor and members are always available, praying for one another and supporting each other in every area of life, including education, personal growth, and spiritual needs. They offer both Armenian and English services, with translators available, which makes it very welcoming for everyone. There are also many ministries for every age and stage, including women, men, young adults, teenagers, and children. The church has home groups, prayer groups, and ministries that focus on prophecy, healing, and deeper spiritual growth. Their Sunday school is excellent, with a strong curriculum that helps children grow in faith from a young age. You can see the care and intention behind it. They also have a school called LASSM, where people can grow deeper in the Lord and discover their calling. I personally have not attended yet because I have two young children, but I truly cannot wait for the opportunity to go. I already feel such a strong desire and hunger to attend because I know it will help me grow deeper, be transformed, and be empowered in a new way. Since first walking through the door back in January of 2020, it's amazing how many friendships I've formed and how much we truly care about each other. There's also great representation across the generations here and we're all comfortable talking to each other despite that. I love seeing babies through 95 year olds throughout the church. The teaching here is Bible-based, lively, and motivating to go be light and hope in an increasingly needing world. The worship sets are thoughtful and encourage experiencing God generally with songs from known churches like Bethel and Elevation but also digging back into the past tastefully to make sure all generations are represented. Services on a Sunday morning generally run roughly 90 minutes. There's kids church and a parent area for babies and during the course of the week there are connection points with prayer meetings, Bible studies, youth, and a large AWANA program on Wednesdays for kids. I've loved calling this church home for the past year and feel it gets better and better each year.

We definitely planned on coming back and we did. Munchkin was born, was baptized and we became member of the church ourselves a little while after and continue to go when we get the chance. One of the best things I think (especially for new parents) - is they have two nurseries for children. :O) There's one connected to the actual church building with toys and a changing table and an intercom so you can still hear Pastor Gretchen's sermon and a window so you can see the choir and Pastor Gretchen.
