Small and friendly. The Glendale Church of Christ is one of the most welcoming churches I've attended. Experience God in community.

A friend and I decided to do a "church search" a few months ago. We went to Crescenta Valley…read moreChurch for our first visit, and have come back almost every week since! When I miss a service, I can watch it online on the cvchurch.com website, as well as view and learn from past series. "The Happiness Habit" blended Biblical principles and practical applications beautifully! I'm watching last year's "You Make Me Crazy!" series now online, and it, too, is excellent guidance for living our faith sanely in a world full of stress. The pastor, Scott Wood, is passionately devoted to Christ and to his church, and I actually look forward to Sunday morning services! (I personally enjoy the early service at 9 am with traditional hymns, but the services at 10:30 am and noon offer contemporary worship music.) Come for a visit. If you're like me, looking for a church that cares about you personally, you'll stay.

I currently attend the main church service on Sunday at 9:30 & 11:30am and the Friday night service…read moreat 7pm called Celebrate Recovery which is for anyone with a hurt, habit or hang up in need of the healing tools of Jesus. I have been in this program for three years now which has had a transformative result on my life through courage and honesty. Freedom is the Love, acceptance and grace of God's people. This is where the real spiritual work happens with the love and support of others who are ready to belong, believe and become. Don't quit before the miracle happens.....

I attend Divine Liturgy every Sunday at Saint Mary Apostolic Armenian Church in Glendale, and it…read morehas become a truly meaningful part of my life. The way the priests and deacons communicate with the congregation is heartfelt and genuine, making everyone feel welcomed and connected. There is a deep sense of peace and spiritual comfort here that is hard to find elsewhere. The services are beautiful, and the community is warm and supportive. This church is not just a place of worship for me--it's where I've found inner peace and a sense of belonging.

Wrong to Host Bingo - Turning House of Prayer into a Den of Robbers. What's wrong with St. Mary's…read moreArmenian Apostolic Church hosting bingo? They don't seem to read the Bible. Jesus condemned turning the temple into a marketplace: Gospel of Matthew 21:12-13: Jesus drove out buyers and sellers, overturned tables, and said, "My house will be called a house of prayer, but you are making it a den of robbers." Gospel of Mark 11:15-17: He drove out sellers, overturned tables, and said, "My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations, but you have made it a den of robbers." Gospel of Luke 19:45-46: He drove out sellers and said, "My house will be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of robbers." Gospel of John 2:13-16: He made a whip, drove out animals and sellers, scattered coins, and said, "Stop turning my Father's house into a market!" What's wrong with Armenian people ignoring this? Church should be for prayer, not gambling. Disappointing.
