I have always liked going inside the older buildings in Old Downtown Tujunga. Desiree is great especially as she told us she grew up locally and knows many of our Tujunga Sunland businesses and friends. There are items of all sort: all nicely organized in the 2 rooms and a foyer. My husband found some pieces to add to his new projects. I found a wood painting of a pastoral scene that looks just like Wisconsin to place in my windowless office. Very reasonable. There are all sorts of art pieces, furniture, glassware, porcelain, wood figures, household items, tools, containers, shelf units, frames, mirrors, ladders (one I would love to put my epiphyllum plants on one of these days), books, and pottery. I was thrilled to find a perfect Stanley thermos. Being a 1950s girl I grew up carrying a real glass lined thermos to events and school. I love having one of these babies to keep water or coffee in my car on my commute too. Desiree will check out estate sales and look for items you may want. I just love being in a community where we can walk to all sorts of businesses and meet up with owners. I definitely plan on being back often. For now Desiree is keeping the shop open on Fridays and Saturdays. Parking on the streets around the shop is super easy.

It appears that Atomic Threshold does not respond to their customers concerns…read more   We bought a dining room table and four chairs several years ago from Atomic Threshold.  The set was used about a dozen times as we rarely entertain.  We recently moved and started to use the set again.  One of the chair legs broke horizontally just below the seat.  We called Christian Boehr in May 2020, explained the break and asked if the chair could be repaired or replaced.  He asked us to send a photo of the chair and the break, which we did.  We called, texted and emailed and never heard back.  We were surprised to be "ghosted".

They were easy to work with and extremely quick turnaround time...we even went out to their shop to inspect it before we committed to having them refinish our desk. Their shop was spotless and they had a number of items to inspect and that is what sealed the deal for us is that their shop was spotless and very nice things they were working on. They also came and picked up the desk and delivered it back here as well... this was a risk for us because we had reached out to a handful of companies a couple years ago and looked at their work online and was just not happy with their work. He oiled the clockwork mechanism. He worked on it for about 15 minutes. I watched him enjoy himself working on the toy train. I forgot what he charged me for it but it was worth it. I had a key that fit perfectly into the train and got the mechanism working. It is nice to see someone enjoying working with their hands.
