My friend bought an Elvis collectible figurine still packaged for a great deal. Handbags are behind the register. Saw a lot of Coach and Dooney & Burkes. Small but colorful clothing section for costumes or daily wear. They get new items twice a week. A very well curated and interesting boutique. prices are good for real vintage items. There is so much to explore that it's impossible to see it all with money in the parking meter. If the proprietors had a clearance sale and sold 70% of their inventory, it would still be a well stocked shoppe. That's why I'm knocking off a star, it's a bit overwhelming, you can't really see the clothes and items in the display cases because it's just too much stuff. Less inventory could be more profitable. Great selection, but if everything is special, then none of it is. read more

This store caught my eye well I was eating breakfast - and am I happy it did. I have recently been more into thrifting, so could not pass up checking it out. This store is located on Honolulu St and there is ample street parking - public lots within a few blocks. Both metered and unpaid parking options. Employees were very sweet with answering questions and offering assistance well individuals shopped. The store it's self has so much to look at - from trinkets, furniture, clothing, shoes, and jewelry. Prices are $-$$ quite modest in my opinion. I saw some lovely vintage clothing sets (unfortunately, not in my size), and snagged a dazzling pair of burgundy loafers (like new, $24). The young lady at the counter told me there was a second location in Highland Park with an even larger selection. I've been here a few times, and I really love this place. They have a great selection and things are not over priced most of the time.. I went in there yesterday with my 12 yo daughter. She was looking around separately because she brought her money and she wanted to buy a mother's day present for me. I was behind her in line, but I don't think it was apparent to the cashier that we were together. We didn't interact in the store because she was looking for my gift and didn't want me to see what it was. I also didn't look at her at all while she was paying so that I wouldn't see the gift. I heard the cashier charge her $38 after the item was bagged, and I saw my daughter's face drop. She paid the woman, but it was obvious the price took her by surprise. I wasn't allowed to see what it was, so I couldn't really help her there at the time. She gives me my mother's day gifts this morning, and they are perfect and adorable because she and I both have a thing for raccoons, but that woman charged my 12 yo $38 olfor 2 rings that looked like you could get them from a machine for 50 cents each - maybe 75 cents - and a tiny plastic flower that was obviously like a cup cake decoration. She obviously swindled my daughter because she's young. Those 3 items should come out to maybe $10 - $12 at most. For sure not $38!! And this woman was half an hour late. The store opens at 11am Saturdays, and she had everyone waiting outside until 11:30. For those of you that know the store, this was not the blonde woman - it was the other one. read more

Check the hours before you go shopping at Pattyes since they open at 1:30 pm during weekdays and 11 am weekends. The store isn't huge, like one of those antique malls, but it's big, well organized with lots of vintage everything - clothes, decorations for the house, seasonal decor as well, jewelry, art, a bit of everything. Very nice vintage collection of clothing, jewelry, knick-knacks, dishes, furniture, you name it! Whoever selects the merchandise has a most discerning eye; everything is cute. Of course, it's like a treasure hunt because you never know if the item you want will fit or be right for the space that you intended. Recent finds include a jeans jacket that had $5 in the pocket, two mirrors, and a fifties style beaded sweater in perfect condition. Staff is very helpful. Prices are reasonable. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Not only are they knowingly selling counterfeit goods at this shop but they have a no refund policy. The employees knew the item wasn't real. The owner knew it wasn't real. It was priced like it was real, and when I went in to get a refund after countless phone calls I got permanently banned from coming back to the store, which I wasn't planning on anyway. The owner kept calling me "darling" while being extremely condescending. When I said even Goodwill does returns she said "times are tough and it's only $24..." Would have never supported this business from the start had I known what awful awful customer service they offer. 0/10 stars. read more

The owner was called for apiece I was interested in that was marked $19.00 each for two pieces of jadeite. I took it up to the register to check out and the girl said I think that's on hold, she called the owner, which mind you I know prior, and I purchase several pieces in the fall. I spent almost $1000.00 on costumes for Halloween. I run a business myself. The girl said the piece was on hold, but the owner would sell it for $28.00 which it was marked "as is" and marked $19.00and had chips on the rim, the girl working said she underpriced it and it would be $28.00, and the girl who she had it on hold offered her $30.00. I said, to the girl at the store working, I have never heard of such shady selling tactics, and how unprofessional the owner was, and to let her know not only is she loosing a customer, I will never step foot in that shady unprofessional establishment again, I will never give my business to this establishment, today I walked out, thinking to myself, the owner who I briefly know, has shown her true colors and I hope this is a learning point for her. I will never recommend this place as an option to find vintage gifts as I had in the past. I really hope she reads this and rethinks her selling practices. I don't know how I've never seen this place before! I was strolling Honolulu this afternoon for the weekly harvest market and they had a car show going on so the market stretched out many blocks further west than usual, hence I happened upon Pattye's. While my husband checked out the vintage auto's, I checked out the vintage and other wordly goods that Pattye's had to offer. I walked away with the following awesomeness for under $100. 1) An amazing and very sexy sundress 2) A comfy and adorable t-shirt dress 3) A great (and very versatile) gold plate locket on a nice long chain 4) A sheer, black, sexy knee length robe to wear around my house 5) An old wooden photo frame 6) A pair of dark navy blue, italian leather cowboy boots in great condition. Every single item was a STEAL. I would have happily paid $100 for the boots alone. The adorable little man who worked there was so sweet (although hard to understand with his thick mexican accent.) Really the only annoying things about this place were the cramped quarters and the spelling of the name... "Pattye's"? I feel bad for whomever "Pattye" is because I'm willing to bet she rarely receives a piece of mail (or a Starbucks drink) with her name properly spelled. read more

love, love, LOVE this store so much!! I work across the street from this place and one day randomly I walked in there to see if I can find something cool for my best friend's birthday. I found more than what I was looking for. I got her a really cool choker made out of black and silver crystals. I got another chocker for my sister which turned into a bracelet too. These are one of a kind stuff that you won't see anyone else wearing it. If i stayed there much longer I would have bought the whole store :) The owner is super friendly and nice. Wow! This place is incredible. We just stopped by to browse the store for Burning Man gear and hit the jackpot. Great deals, great selection (from weird and whacky to funky and nostalgic)...all pieces were high quality. Plan to spend a while in here - the jewelry selection could take a day alone! Beware!!! Her policy of store credit is because admittedly she "has a box full of jewelry returns that need repair" (but says she "has no time for that"). 4 items I purchased there broke as did 2 of my friend's purchases. SHE IS ONLY THERE for store credit 2 weekdays out of the week & doesn't allow her employees to issue store credit. So hopefully you can drop in during 2 weekday business hours for your credit! Do YOU have "time for that"? I don't! She refused to to give me store credit on a gold necklace $175 that broke after wearing it twice. I took it to a reputable jeweler (EST. 1959) across the street who told me 5 places in the necklace where weak & even if he fixed the 5 places ($125) it was going to continue to happen. He suggested I take it back. Prior she tried to blame ME for her overpriced items & told me to be more "gentle" w them?? I have never had this problem except w her pieces... and a stone falling out of a ring has nothing to do with gentleness. Very insulting. Might as well have thrown $175 out the car window. Bonus: if you like cramped & smelly & lots of broken hangers to deal with & bored employees talking on cell phone this is the place for you. It is VERY VERY packed with stuff and honestly not all of it is nice or worth having but if you are willing to take the time to really really dig (and I don't use that word lightly) through things you can find great gems! Renee had several other customers in the store but found the time to be of great assistance to me as well. Be aware... This is not a thrift store, more consignment, vintage apparel and jewelry. Not your typical thrift store, with regards to environment and price. Came in wanting to find something but I was in sticker shock. Jewelry was priced at $24 for a necklace belts were around $15. They had a lot of costumes so if you're looking for something for Halloween, I would definitely check this place out. But if you're looking for a bargain...this is not the place to go to. The store itself is nicely organized, it has a lot of character, but very very cramped. Lots and lots of items and that in and of itself might turn you off from trying to sift through so much! You can spend a whole day just looking at the jewelry selection. Worth checking out once but be prepared for retail prices and above. I unfortunately will not be coming back. read more

This place is amazing. I had a couple of friends visiting from San Diego and after touring Descanso Gardens we decided to go into Montrose and just walk around. We found this shop by accident but we ended up staying there for hours, constantly finding new things. Prices were reasonable, and a lot of the items are really cute. I bookmarked this place in case I ever need to find something vintage looking to wear, or whenever I'm in town again. Despite it's small space, they had a good selection of clothes, dresses, jewelry, hats, cassettes, dolls, etc. The owner is really sweet, which is an added bonus. They were closing soon after we got there but they stayed open while we browsed and never once made us feel like we needed to rush. She would share stories of her kids or just how they got to where they're at now. We ended up buying a lot of items because we had to the time to shop and find things.
